Woolly Bullies 10 Year Anniversary Rally is Coming Up!

We have been wrenching a bunch, trying to get bikes ready. We can’t wait to see you all! The Gaskettes will be helping out with registration on Friday, Sept. 1st, 5pm at Crawford’s bar. Say “hi” when you see us.

Gaskettes’ Founder Leslie Landis co-hosts a new podcast.

Mystery Cheese is a new podcast that is hosted by Leslie Landis (one of the founding members of the Gaskettes) and Dot (good friend to the Gaskettes) and produced by Nicole Gaskette. It’s a podcast about friendship and field trips in Los Angeles. Check it out and follow if you like what you hear! New episodes go up every Wednesday through the summer.

Patches and enamel pins available now!

We have an etsy site up and running where you can purchase cute little spark plug lipstick patches and enamel pins. (lipstick spark plug designed by Nicole Burch and pins and patches from Treat Yoself Motel.)

We will soon be partnering with our brother gang, the Woolly Bullies to sell t-shirts to help raise money for the Woolly Bullies 10 Year Anniversary rally coming up Sept. 1-4, 2017. Check back soon for those and plan on coming to the rally, it’s gonna be a good one!

Some of the Gaskettes have started a ladies’ racing team to race at AMRA.

The team is called Lady Racers. It isn’t a Gaskettes racing team, it just so happens that as of now there are only Gaskettes on the team. If any ladies out there are in the Los Angeles area and want to race with us in October, get in touch! Facebook Instagram

Our moped bar, Crawford’s, sponsored the Lady Racers and gave us these cool baseball tees as well as some “sponsor beers” after the race. Next time you drop by Crawford’s look for our race photo behind the bar!

The first race was in April and it was tons of fun. Dave Fink is the founder of AMRA and organized a really fun event which Bob Ross sponsored. It’s a little different than MopedGP or Tomahawk Cup in that we qualified using Time Attacks, where we rode around the track individually and locked in our best time. The faster times raced in Group A and the slower times raced in Group B. Lady Racers qualified for Group B and our very own Michelle Gaskette came in 1st place and Donavon Gaskette came in 2nd place. Nicole Gaskette, her first time racing ever, came in at last place. Keep practicing, lady!

The Lady Racers sponsored the second race in June, where Donavon Gaskette took 1st place! Also, we made Hilary the Lady Racers manager. 

The next AMRA race will be October 7th. Come out and watch or race. See you at the track!

We’ve been busy rallying, wrenching, making new friends, riding, racing...

Choke moped shop in LA is closing! Were all very sad to see it go, but if you stop by between 12-9pm there will be one last sale. There are new 3/4 fulmer helmets for $30! There are whole mopeds! (Motoguzzi, garelli, Tomos, Vespa) Frames, tanks, wheels, Cables, engine cases, side covers, lights, so many other parts! But also the shops wall decorations are for sale (vintage racing leathers, signs , posters, even a pinball machine!) come on down! SALE SALE SALE! PARTY PARTY PARTY!
