people claiming that the hate sabrina carpenters been getting recently is stupid are genuinely so ignorant to the actual problem. she is a grown woman who is allowed to express her sexuality, yes. however that's not the problem, the problem is her disturbing self-infantilisation in a very sexual context. for example, her singing, 'I'm full grown but I look like a niña/ Come put something big in my casita. just incase you didn't know, niña means little girl in Spanish. this is a 26 year old woman singing ts. ALSO she posed in a photo shoot which is very VERY clearly a reference to lolita. she claims it isn't but guys come on:

just to remind you, lolita is a story about a grown man who 'falls in love with', grooms and has sex with his 12 year old stepdaughter. you can claim its not a reference as there is no definitive proof that it is but I think its pretty clear. on top of that, her 'juno poses' are literally inspired by the movie about an unplanned pregnancy of two 16 year old kids. its just so weird to be because if a MAN was up to this shit you would all be going crazy but because she's a girl it seems to be ok. and again defending this with claiming people are upset about this because of 'purity culture' is insane; this isn't about her expressing her sexuality, its about her seeming constantly referring to children or herself looking like a child in a sexual light. her album cover is a whole different story and I can see both sides of the arguement (however the dog on the back was an interesting choice). I just think its weird but lmk and I also apologise as this is not a very coherent paragraph but I hope you get my point🙏
