December for the cinephiles

Usually December in the past years were mainly for Christmas, flood, rain etc. But for this year 2021, it had been an important month for the cinephiles. In this year’s December, most awaited movies for the fans were released and been a blockbuster. Fans were eagerly waiting for this month. Some of them fans were satisfied and some of them were unsatisfied. Director, producers, actresses, actors, music directors and all of the crew were happy about the box office

Most awaited movies were released and ran successfully. Many of them really lives up to their expectations. Movies that released in December were

Spiderman no way home, the matrix, bachelor, atrangi re, 83, salalga, badava rascal, madagaraja, writer, Rocky etc. Some of them were released on OTT but still made a huge impact in the cinema industry like atrangi re and minnal murali. Some movies like madagaraja, the Matrix and bachelor left the fans disappointed. But the movie with full expectations and hype left the fans satisfied like Spiderman no way home, 83, Badava rascal, minnal murali etc. Also as per the box office they made a huge collection and been a blockbuster.

The month December for sure been a treat for the fans and the general audience too. Though some of them left the fans audience unsatisfied, most of the Audience were happy watching their favorite actors giving hit.

Media as the fourth pillar of democracy

Though there are three pillars of democracy, thay fail to shape the public opinion and make us aware from the various social, political and economic activities happening around the world. That's when the fourth pillar becomes necessary to the democracy. Media act as a medium to gain access to the news around the world. They act as a bridge between the government and people. Media the pillar at the democracy, exercises the right of freedom of speech and expression. This right is ver important at present time and democracy cannot fully function without this pillar. The media can be of different froms like the press, performing arts, television, radio and films have been used for communication. Furthermore the fourth pillar is an important pillar because they are not only the source of news but also the voice of the people.

Media are the communication outlets or tools used to store and deliver information to convey all the required information and data. Media's are used to communicate the new, mainly there are three pillars of democracy, they are legislative, executive and judiciary. The first pillar, legislative pillar is responsible for maintaining for making laws that will govern the state. The executive pillar is mainly responsible for implementing the laws formed by the legislative pillar. The last pillar of democracy is the judiciary, the judiciary pillar keeps a check on the laws and orders, and ensures that these laws and order so not curtail the fundamental rights of the citizens of a country.

Media is regarded as one of the important pillar of democracy. Media has played a wide role in the society both in the past and present. When there were no technological advancements in the past, printed newspapers and radios were to asses information across the nation. The newspaper not only containing the facts but also the opinions of the public through its editorials. They too play a vital role in the moulding opinion of the society and is capable of changing the whole viewpoint. So the various types of media's are important to the democratic country and the media is the fourth pillar of the democracy

Is the standards of Kollywood is going down?

The standards of Kollywood went down without a doubt. The main reason for Kollywood going down like never before is the poor movie selection by the actors. Most of the movies released in the theatres for the past 3 months are flops. Although some of them managed to gain a good amount in the box office it doesn’t mean the movies are worth watching. The main reason they had a good box office is because of the top actors acting in the film or the ones with huge fans. The directors who’s movies were big hit once but now are flops, but the actors played their role. Although all of the recent movies were not flops some of them managed to be good film either in theatres or in the online platform.

Movies like Beast by Vijay, Valimai by Ajith Kumar, Maaran by Dhanush, Annathe by Rajinikanth etc had been flops. The average rating for all the above listed movies are 5.05. these movies were filled with expectations but it left the fans as well as the audience disappointed. Director Nelson Dileep Kumar’s first film Doctor was a huge commercial success gave the fans high hopes for his next movie Beast, but the movie didn’t fulfill the expectations. The director once in a Behinwoods interview said that the actors or the stars won’t let the director take the movie as per their wish. This might also be one of the reasons why the standards of the Kollywood went down. Movies like Kathu Vakkula Rendu Kadhal, Bachelor, Enna solla pogirai, theal, Aranmanai 3, Velan, Hostel, etc left the fans disappointed even without any expectations. The films like Etharkum Thunindhavam, Rocky, Doctor, Ayngaran, Maanadu, Kadaisi Vivasayi, FIR etc helped the standards to not go down and satisfied the general audience as well as the fans. Although the fans of Kollywood didn’t leave their hopes behind.

When movies like Vikram, Don , Nenjukku Needhi were released, every Kollywood fan was happy. It’s because these movies alone brought up the Kollywood’s standards and also managed to be a box office hit. Vikram and Don managed to enter into 100 crore clubs and film Vikram has grossed over 300 crores world wide. The whole Kollywood industry were happy to have such good films in the crucial times. Poniyan Selvan another movie which has a lot of hype has hope and expected to bring pride to the Tamil cinema. So let’s hope that the expected or the unexpected movies to lift the fallen Kollywood.
