I have enormous empathy for folks who are running from their demons. Their reality is filled with trauma that sees them make bad choices, and they are filled with confusion, trepidation, and fear. They are caught up in untenable situations. They chase something they simply can never catch. They are vulnerable and susceptible to the worst influences imaginable. Then we judge them ,never knowing what they are going through. These are the tortured souls who walk amongst us. Be more understanding.

I had a huge poster of Ali above my bed on my bedroom wall as a kid. Ali represented more than boxing to me. He was an example of unequalled humanity with a love for the forgotten. He reached out with love and despite criticism and condemnation, he stood firm in his principles and truth. Then meeting him was a a dream come true. The Champ will never be forgotten and after his passing I flew into Louisville to pay my deepest respects at his graveside.
The Greatest of all Time.
