Animation Skills Workshop Evaluation
In summary, I found this workshop very helpful in pushing me to animate things that I would have been reluctant to beforehand. I think my push pull and lifts were relatively successful but they could have used a lot more frames and adjustments to poses, such as reshaping the back of the lifting animation so that the box looks heavier, and keeping my movement consistent. However, I think I managed to keep my animation's height and proportions somewhat consistently throughout.
I also think I could have done better on the quadruped animations, such as making the transitions between the paw movements much smoother with more inbetweens and properly learning the cycle of a quadruped walk so that it shows in my animation. Next time, I'd do more investigating and testing to better understand how the motion works before I animate and invest more time into making it cleaner.

Graduate Assistance Evaluation
Overall, this was a great learning experience, particularly in getting used to TVpaint, as that was the program that was needed for the film The Woods, such as using the Colour layer function. I think I have met the criteria well for this project. I was lucky to have a very generous third year that gave me a lot of shots to colour and shade. They were laid out very clearly with additional notes to help guide what I had to do. They were all done in TVpaint. I think that I copied her style relatively well and stayed true to what Freya wanted by keeping the colours consistent to ones she picked and keeping the shadows in the same shapes by using the same tools and sizes. The communication was very clear and all the files were uploaded to a google drive folder. Overall it was a success and felt professional as an experience.

Final Version for Hand in -- By Blood By Sword (Incomplete)
Evaluation
This project was overall a huge learning experience, as it felt like a step into more professional animation and having to learn as I go. For this film, I think my biggest successes were my backgrounds and character designs. Using my research from the Arthurian legend and basing it in a specific era helped with choosing aesthetics for my characters, such as simple armor that accentuated features, and keeping to a medieval theme. This also helped inform what sort of aesthetic I wanted for film, which was something that felt aged and mythological. In addition to that, I based my architecture off of the same era, such as the pointed hut build with a thatch roof, which helped them be consistent my character designs too.
However, I also had a lot difficulty keeping to schedule as I was not skilled enough for some scenes that it took me a very long time to animate them, which I did not factor in for, leading to extremely poor time-management. Using TVpaint was very fun for me, however, I ran into a few resolution issues, such as the backgrounds being too small, leading to further difficulty and having to redo them larger, or draw very small. Using a sketchy style was helpful in terms of speed and aesthetic, but lead to some animations looking inconsistent. To improve, I would structure my time more smartly and take into account the time to learn, and create clearer forms while animating so it is easier to colour. Next time, I will also keep my idea within the limits of what I've been given in order to get it finished by the deadline. (editing continued)

My presentation concluding all of my evidence and progress with the internship project this year.
In conclusion, I think that because my target audience is so niche its not clear how hard the competition will be, however, I have learned that from the feedback from the crit that the illustrative path I want to draw for, for instance TTRPG books, is very community based, so I will have to build up a community or network and make friends with people within it. I've also learned from my research that its possible to work remotely with these publishing companies, and that its also possible to create a brand for myself using social media to promote said work. To improve, I could have contacted many more people for a higher chance of a response to better understand how to get into the sphere I wanted to be in, or expand my knowledge to the illustration field or animation field, which though it may not help now, it'd improve my overall knowledge of getting my foot in the door, as well as making a connection with a professional.
