Grace Christian Church Youth Mission Trip - June22nd - June 29th, 2019
A “family friendly” mission where all ages are welcome, Cherokee is an excellent place for a first-time missions experience.
We will partner with Grace Community Church of Cherokee and MTW who serve the Cherokee tribe through Word and Deed Ministry. Backyard Bible clubs, vacation Bible schools, sports/day camps, community visitation and senior citizen centers are among the many avenues through which teams can minister.

Who Are The Cherokee?
The People: Tsi-La-Gi
The Eastern Band of Cherokee are the remnant of those leftbehind when their families and friends were re-moved to Oklahoma in 1838 on the tragic “Trail of Tears”(forced relocations of Native Americans). From that remnant of 1000, there are now over 15,000 enrolled in the Eastern Band with over 12,000 living on the 60,000 beautiful acres of reservation. Like most Native American tribes, the Cherokee have always been a spiritual people. But unlike many tribes, they traditionally worshipped the Great Spirit, one God.
