Day: Thirty

To end off this journey I’ve started compiling all types of consumption I participated in digesting, this post will be a recap of the non tangible source I consume the most. Enough about what I spent in a day and more about what I look at on my phone. Fashion and music are very important to me. As a huge fan of the band Chase Atlantic, I do listen to them on a daily basis. A day doesn’t go by without me listening to their songs. My favorite song by them is ‘’Ozone’’, it's very soothing and calming and I like to listen to it to make me feel relaxed.

Day: Twenty Nine

My consumption of beauty products includes a minimum amount. I’m not constantly purchasing and needing makeup products, however, I have enough makeup to consider myself someone who has the ability to apply it on my face. I like to get a lot of inspiration from Pinterest, or a Youtuber named ‘’Pony’’ from South Korea. Her videos are translated and she gets into depth and detail in explaining how to blend eyeshadow which I like to learn from. I use this skill whenever I have an event to go to like a party or wedding.

Day: Twenty Eight

Out of every social media platform, I use Youtube then instagram the most. They’re also my most favorite ones. I feel that Snapchat, Twitter, and Tiktok can get annoying at times and so I gravitate towards these 2. They feel less problematic and have the best content that isn’t just wasting my time. So with this post, I shall show my favorite fashion Youtuber. Her channel is called ‘’Stealthespotlight’ and she's from Australia. I learn a lot from her videos and it helps with inspiration and creativity on my end. Extremely enjoyable to watch and learn.

Day: Twenty Seven

I had classes on zoom all day, so I stayed home until they all ended. In all honesty, I wasn’t feeling well mentally, but I had no choice but to bare with it for the rest of the day. I decided on ordering Korean food for dinner. So I had fried rice and spicy chicken from Kings restaurant. I went to a library in mounds view then headed home and ended my night. There was a post that really warmed my heart for the day. I miss my family’s cat and I hope to get a pet someday soon.

Day: Twenty Six

I went by my schedule of waking up at 10 am. I ate oatmeal with protein powder for breakfast. I’m not a fan of oatmeal in general but it's healthy to eat and filling. I did chores including organizing my room, dishes, and laundry. Then I headed off to work. It was an 8 hour shift so that took up most of my day. I don't really sleep late and my definition of that is not sleeping past 1 am. I slept roughly for 10 hours max and I’m guessing that's from exhaustion. Musical consumption of the day would be my Soundcloud account. Soundcloud has really nice tracks that can be free sometimes, unlike Spotify. There is the option to join the Soundcloud Go+ membership where you get official artist’s music. Similar to Spotify in that sense but SC is better since some tracks are actually for free and there are unlimited skips. Only advertisements sometimes.

Day: Twenty Five

My roommate suggested I take a brain break and go for a walk with him. I enjoyed the company a lot. Personally, I like spending time with people. To be specific, I enjoy spending quality time a lot and it means something to me. So it was heartwarming to have a friend like that. We went back to our apartment as he got ready for work and I chose to spend some ‘’me’’ time taking another walk outside with music. I later had a slice of pumpkin cheesecake my roommate bought after he came back from work that night.

Day: Twenty Four

My roommates’s hard effort of being my ride to and from school has now come to an end. For a month, there were some complications with my car and what not. So I’ve been getting rides ever since. Until recently my dad allowed me to borrow his Toyota corolla. It was nice not having to relay on anyone but myself. It feels good to do so because you have control over yourself and you can make predictions for your actions, but you cant when it comes to other people. No matter how much you trust someone, events still may change. Other than that, the highlight of my day was watching the anime ‘’Haikyu!!’’ with my roommates.

Day: Twenty Three

Today was another difficult day to wake up. Nevertheless, I pushed through at 9 AM. One of my roommates was out to work and my other two kept to themselves as they washed up for the morning. It's a natural thing for us to do, its a way to recharge during some morning because a lot of us are introverts and we need the time to revive on our own. Our trust and bond is strong enough that we know when to leave each other for one’s ‘’own’’ time. I toasted a pumpkin bagel for myself and took a seat on the coach and opened my computer. I tried to see what I have due and if I could dump any creativity in my homework. As I’ve mentioned before, with the move and issues left behind, getting caught up in class is a struggle. I’m blessed and thankful to my professor’s understanding over the classes I needed lenience with because that was a worry I had. I was lastly happy to see my best friends cats on Instagram. I’ve only seen them when they were new born and it made my day to see how they’ve grown up.

Day: Twenty Two

This day’s highlight is the concert of my ultimate favorite band called ‘’Chase Atlantic’’. Their genres include alternative and pop with a very unique sound. They’re originally from Australia and performed their tour’s first stop in Minneapolis. I went alone since I didn’t have an escort. I would have preferred not to, however, it wasn't bad at all. My seats were all the way in the back which was fine since it was a seating area. During the opening musicians named Nikorubi’s performances, I noticed a familiar figure entering to the left of the seating area that was very much empty. I take a closer look to see Chase Atlantic’s lead guitarist Clinton taking a seat in that region along with their manager and another individual. I decided not to approach out of respect and didn't want to risk rejection for no use. I didn't take any far away photos either until another surprise unveiled. The last two members of the band approach Clinton and his crew. I managed to get a very blurry photo. With a closer look in the photo, Mitchel the lead singer can be shown with his white hoodie, glasses, and braids falling from his face. The other video was of Clinton’s hair up in a bun and his side profile. It was very unexpected to see them sit in our area as the rest of the crowd did not notice. Very likely so because of the lighting, seating position, and how most people were in the lower level and people seated in the top level were seated in a circular table opposite the further sides of the theater. They were only spotted by the crowd at the end of their attempt to sneak out unseen. I’m glad that I got to see them up close since the lighting for the concert was very terrible in showing their faces. My footage of them included black figures mostly. The show was extremely enjoyable, but super short and I wished I would have tried to ask even though I knew they can't say yes to that since fans who paid VIP are ones who get to take a photo with the band. The night ended smoothly, I just had post concert depression and I hope to attend another one of their concert’s sooner.

Day: Twenty One

A coworker of mine showed me a cool thing I never knew Youtube had. We were having a chat while working together at the same time. The topic of music was opened because at work we have the ability to connect to the bluetooth of a speaker and play music in the background. He showed me how typing ‘’My mix’’ in the Youtube search bar can give you an automated playlist of recent songs you’ve been listening to and it compiles them so they become a playlist. I listen to A LOT of slowed and reverbed versions of songs. One, it's very satisfying to the ears, two, after I’ve listened to a song way too much, slowed and reverbed adds a new touch and flavor to the sound. It feels like something new to my eardrums.

Day: Twenty

I had a day set to meet up with my friend Ben again. Getting out and socializing is something I should do more often. So we met up at the University food hall again in the afternoon before I had class. We ordered Bulgogi from Korean Bowl. He had chicken and I had beef. I also ordered peach tea with cheese foam from Mi tea. It was raining but we managed to have a nice time walking around in Dinkytown. We both wanted to check out the Book House so we walked there and decided to go to Starbucks for more caffeine after. I was interested in the international section, but I couldn’t find even one book that aligned with the foreign languages I spoke including Arabic and Korean. There was one book that really caught my attention. I saw a small card explaining the book stating it is an Arab-American authorized comic. But there was one book on top of it all that stood out for being relatable to me and also the last copy. The book was so oddly specific and described all the demographics I associated with. As shown in the photo, it was a compilation of poetry written by queer Arab-Americans. As someone who fit each category, I couldn’t help but decide on purchasing it for $12. After all, I'm very interested in poetry and would like to get into it more.

Day: Nineteen

Today I craved a refresher from Starbucks. After not working with the Starbucks system anymore, I really miss their drinks, specifically the refreshers. I used to work at a Barnes and Noble cafe which serves Starbucks as a franchise so they’re separate from the actual Starbucks, yet contain nearly an identical menu. Slight variations include no peach juice and B&N has food from other sources like the Cheesecake Factory. I bought myself a Strawberry Acai refresher with lit ice from a Starbucks at Hyvee that was about a mile from my house.

Day: Eighteen

I had work in the morning and proceeded with my day regularly. I then took a trip to Barnes and Noble in Northtown mall and happened to find a new flavor of cheesecake inside the cafe’s bakery case. I used to work at a Barnes and Noble at Roseville so I was intrigued by this new bakery item. In fact, I was a little upset because it was pumpkin cheesecake!! I took a picture and sent it to an ex-coworker of mine. My intent was to chill in the cafe and read, but I ended up going on my laptop. After a while of messaging my friend, they were so excited for the cheesecake that they suggested I grab them a slice. I decided to go since I finished what I had to do on my daily bucket list. So I bought them a slice and a London fog latte and headed to their place. I had a nice chit chat with them and we caught up. It wasn’t enough so we arranged another day to hang out, then I headed home.

Day: Seventeen

I had a day off on a Friday, it was my first one in months. Usually I have work or school everyday. It was nice to have it because life can get overwhelming at times and a mental break was needed. Self care is important, as much as it can be neglected in my personal life. So I made sure it was a relaxing day for me and I made sure I took it easy and included some time for homework. I had the apartment to myself, but I didn’t feel right to work on my essay for school at home. So I grabbed my car keys and backpack and headed to Barnes and Noble. I had an iced venti Matcha lemonade from the cafe. I got productive and headed home after about an hour.

Day: Sixteen

I had coffee in the morning, which isn’t common for me. I usually buy coffee from an outside source, but my roommate asked me (with a ‘’please’’) if I could share a cup fo coffee with him and I said yes. It was a gesture I could accept and with the wording of the request it felt like it would make him happy if I participated in the drink with him. I had extra vanilla cream in mine and I ended up skipping breakfast. Later on, I had shrimp Alfredo for lunch made by my roommate. We all sat down and had a talk. It felt like a family which was great. After, I had work and I was able to catch a dad joke written on a board that my manager set up. Small things like this are nice to see once in awhile. As much as dad jokes can get annoying, they still make me laugh because of how lame they can be.

Day: Fifteen

I was craving some writing so I started working on a paper I had due. Later, my roommate welcomes me and begins doing chores. He asks me how I’m doing and if I would be down to go visit a friend that works at Barnes and Noble. He was short on time, so that was canceled. After that, it was time to go grocery shopping and grab lunch from Panera Bread. I offered to pay for all of us this time. We all had a Turkey Chipotle Avocado sandwich minus the Avocado because they ran out of it. I didn’t picture the food since I was so hungry, but the sandwich was disappointing overall. I felt that the sandwich needed something more than just red peppers and the sauce. Moving on with the day, I ended up taking a nap when I got home for about two hours. I woke up from my alarm and got ready for my class and grabbed a cup of Blueberry Green tea with vanilla creamer. After class ended, I decided to stay for two hours to get homework done. I drove home past sunset and it was a nice feeling. I played a cd of a Kpop band named ‘’Itzy’’ on repeat during my drive home. The photo shows the cd I played and the album was called ‘’Guess Who?’’. Nevertheless, I ended my night like any regular night.

Day: Fourteen

I overslept today since I didn’t have work or school in the morning. It was about ten hours and I woke up at 10:50 AM. I checked my phone first thing in bed (we all know it's not good for you yet we all do it). Later on, my roommate comes in to tell me she made fried rice so I get up to get ready. After eating breakfast, I opened my computer to attempt to get homework done, but the environment wasn’t helping me focus. I tell my roommate that and he suggests we stretch and that he’ll teach me some of his fighting moves. This has been an ongoing thing between us where he teaches me how to throw a punch because I’ve asked him to and that I’m interested. After that we sit down, each of us on their electronic device. Then we decide its time to order lunch before he goes to work at 2pm. We ordered burritos from a taco truck. It was really filling, delicious, and felt like real food. After lunch, they both went to work while I stayed home. With the move, it really shifted my schedule and made me behind in school. In that aspect it's been challenging for me to get homework done. I ran out of time before completing anything productive. I listen to music on a daily, and below is the app ‘’Telegram’’ that I use for my music and my recent favorite song was playing.
