he’s staring up at one of them. those grotesque corpses, seeming to shamble a tad too humanlike for okita’s comfort. he looks like someone akira was once friends with, battered by the apocalypse. “d - don’t come any closer. i don’t wanna kill you.” he warns, pistol pointed in a shaky hand. “please, just go away.” (for james bc i can see him feeling bad for that asshole 😔)

“Relax, i’m not going to hurt you” the undead ‘stranger’ lied, James would kill okita the next chance he got, he just didn’t want that damn gun pointed at him. “now put that thing away if you know what’s good for you.” though half of his face was torn away from fights and decay, it was still evident that he wasn’t amused.

 james looks the other boy up and down for a moment, tired look never once leaving his features “you with anyone else?” he asks, putting his cold dead hands in the pockets of his jacket. if he did have others with him that would either mean james would be fucked, or james would have enough food to last him a few days. it would only be a matter of if he played his cards right.
