It's the Captain Effect* combined with how he just has the most Dad Energy.

Last season Avsmin had a Bad Dad Joke segment on media day for Avs pairs to tell one another for a bit for our silly little social media content. They were the worst dad jokes you've ever heard and players had to sit telling one another the jokes while one of them had a mouthful of water. It was great.

Landy's segment was just him sitting pulling them out of the cup and reading to himself and laughing. And then when he ran out he just started telling his own.

*he's been captain since he was 19. When he was named captain, he was the youngest captain in the history of the NHL. He beat out Sidney Crosby as the youngest by like a week, if I remember correctly. That changed when McDavid was named captain of the Oilers though. But, there you go. The three youngest captains in NHL history. Connor McDavid, Gabriel Landeskog, and Sidney Crosby.
