for me, everything good, everything magical, happens between the months of june and august.

the summer i finally returned.

for good.

look at me; 21 years old, and i'm still living with my dad. i like it, though. duke's online classes are better for watching sunsets, anyway. i grew up in kildare, in the obx, but job opportunities came and went, so... we left. the crazy part? i was a pogue growing up.

but we came back, and suddenly i'm a kook. i live in the figure eight now.

which brings me back to the one person who always stood out to me. who was my knight in shining armor when we were younger. his name? you'd be surprised.

rafe cameron.

ward was friends with my dad when we used to live here. they'd be off on business ventures while rafe and i ran around the island with ice cream smeared on our faces hand in hand.

now? he seems... different.
