warnings: talks of being abused and cheating.

summary: after your last relationship 2 years ago, you didn’t want anything with anybody until you met him.

after spring 2020, you never wanted to be in a relationship again. your ex trevor was perfect when you first met him and you would die by that. he took care of you, helped you whenever you needed it and always made sure you were alright. that was until things changed for the worse. the nights he would yell at you, hit you and come home with a distinct smell of perfume that definitely wasn’t yours all made you realize that everything was different.

FLASHBACK:

he stumbles through the door again with that perfume smell you recognize every time after his long night out.

“where were you” you asked walking over to the door with tears in your eyes.

“i told you i was gonna be out all night, you fucking knew this y/n”

you stood there in silence thinking silently, finally deciding you knew what you had to do no matter hoe bad it hurt.

you walked away into his room grabbing all your things as he follows behind you.

“what the fuck do you think you’re doing y/n”

“im leaving trevor. im sick of the way you come home every night with the smell of another woman, im sick of being hurt everyday and i can’t stand around for this fucking shit anymore.”

trevor looks at you in shock and tries to grab you but you raise your hand and slap him as hard as you can leaving him mouth opened.

END OF FLASHBACK.

ever since then you’ve never been interested in romance but that all changed today.

OCT 17 2023

every year around this time, there’s a big fall party along the streets of your city so you chose to attend today.

as your taking pictures for your instagram, you hear a voice that melts you speaking to you.

“you know if you zoom out on the camera the pictures will come out less blurry and better” the boy laughs.

you turn around and you’re met with the cutest boy you’ve ever seen and all you could do was stare.

“you okay?”

“oh yeah sorry haha thank you”

“you’re soooo welcome” he says, pitching up his voice.

you start to walk away feeling completely embarrassed after that encounter until you hear that sweet voice again.

“excuse me, i never got your name” he says walking up to you staring right into your eyes.

“and why would you need my name”

“maybe i think you’re pretty and i wanna get to know you”

you stood still for a second and all you could think about was how everything played out last time but that definitely didn’t stop you.

“y/n. it’s y/n.” you said with a hint of sass.

“what a lovely name y/n” he says with a bright smile on his face. you swear the way he says you’re name could make you fall to your knees.

“well now that you got my name, what’s yours”

“i’m jack champion. now that we know each other’s names, would you like to walk through this with me” he asked with a teasing smile and a glint of hope in his eyes.

“i thought you’d never ask.”
