A Friendship Test extra story: Exe tries to save the holidays!

“Exe tries to save the holidays” is an extra 2h30m/4h30m long story that takes place a few months after the events of Friendship Test. In it you play as Exe, who has accidentally caused a power outage and begins a journey to make everyone happy to make up for her mistake. She is joined by Spike, who doesn’t help much but offers her the emotional support she very much needs.

Meet up with familiar faces to see how their lives are doing after their adventures in FT. Give them gifts, help them with their personal struggles and make sure Exe interacts with the least amount of life forms as possible cause she is not having a good time.

This FT extra story will release in November in itch.io for only $1. It will only release on Windows, but if you are not able to play it or buy it, a full no commentary playthrough will be released in the official Youtube channel.

This short story is a love(less) letter for the support the game has received, I was not planning to make it when I released FT, but I just needed to make something now.

It is not as grand story like FT is, but I hope you look forward for a short little story to see these characters one last time (in videogame form at least). Thank you so much and see you there!

I can't describe how much this game means to me - it made me think so much about amatonormativity and platonormativity, it made me connect with my own romanticism and lovelessness, and also, it made me laugh a lot... And cry, too :D Exe and FP are one of my favourite characters in all media ever... "And all you get in return is this lousy fanart" hehe. I hope FP and the little rabbity thing can, indeed, be happy - and us too!

GOD Nick being scared of Exe is so funny forever. Can you imagine being Sparky and Nick goes up and asks you about footage of that weird fucking rabbit thing and she's picking up a burger that explodes and then with a cartoon style she's like welp. I still want my burger! And then she does it again and you're like. That's fucking weird okay. Meanwhile Nick is losing his entire fucking mind over this silly ass rabbit who keeps picking up the stupid exploding burger and he's like this fucking thing can't die we need to avoid it at ALL COSTS this thing can KILL US WE WILL DIE!!!!! and you're just watching this rabbit eat the burger! Again! And you're sitting there internally thinking like Nick it's just a silly creature who's weird I don't think she's gonna try shit. And then you have to just go "okay." While Nick is panicking over the most looney toons creature you've ever seen. And also you saw her run into a wall earlier with a cartoon splat sound.

I know you've already done an essay explaining a really good argument as to why some people view Luigi as Autistic but I just want to know what your opinion is on whether or not Luigi has it. i'm just asking this cuz I personally have been on and off on if he Luigi has it or not because some of his most well known traits like being socially awkward also apply to non-autistic people? So what's your opinion/headcanon on the matter?

I tend to flip-flop myself. The only thing I can say with complete certainty is that Luigi has generalized anxiety disorder. Autism would certainly account for his social awkwardness (as well as many of his other quirks), but there are times I lean toward him being type 1 ADHD.

I should add this to the CW at the beginning but SPOILERS for Friendship Test - particularly act 6

so guess who definitely bit off more than they could chew again with this project? the execution could've been much cleaner, but I kinda just wanted to wrap this up.

oh my god the text at the start is really hard to read. and Cathodemer, as it turns out, is fussing with rendering stuff - so there's some inconsistency I should probably iron out too if I repost this on youtube or something. I'll take another look at it later. 🛌
