so the other day i was trying to cross this road on my way to class and i wasnt going to make it to the intersection in time but if I was across the road the timing would work well for the next light. so jaywalking was definitely the most efficient option considering there was nobody actively coming. the only issue was my side of the road had a railing and the other side had a road divider because the sidewalk was closed because of construction...and the road had four lanes...
so my dumbass decides to say fuck it and swoop under the rail and try and make it across the street. and as my luck would have it thats when the light further up the road changed and set a metric fuck ton of cars my direction. too late to turn back I book it towards the divider and careen over the top with a flying leap. the people i landed between looked at me like i had three heads but crisis averted and i got to feel like an action hero for 3 seconds
