I created this logo thinking in culture and what aspects of Nicaraguan traditions and environment to make it so relevant for the international community. First of all is the language of the shapes as you can see above (grid picture), I decided to use diagonals and squares to add movement and tension to depict excitement (is the same feeling you have when you go to new places and star new adventures), then I used vibrant colors of the most important touristic experiences in Nicaragua. Skyblue for Beach and Surfing Red for Volcanos and Volcano Boarding Yellow for Nicaraguan folklore and handcrafted Woodworks. Its construction is modular, so can be used in different mediums from favicons to holograms and VR. In conclusion, it was a very grateful experience making ROJO logo, I hope you enjoy it. My mission for 2014 was to get more people started in User Experience (UX) Design. In January, hundreds of thousands of people did the original UX Crash Course and it was translated into Spanish, Portuguese and Korean by amazing volunteers.
