while it's ARDUOUSLY late for me to be posting this, i am in fact ALIVE!!

i'll be back on these blogs by this weekend, and i'll be doing a clean-up of sorts! my side blogs aren't going anywhere, though i will definitely be adding some things to my pinned posts once i get the chance!

However, i don't believe that the crew made the ship with malicious intent. I want to believe that they wrote them into AT as a funny joke in the moment, kind of like Stolas making out with the Incubus after his "heartfelt performance" during the same episode.

Mayberry, for as little time as she had, pretty much fit the mold of the Vengeful + Dead Wife to a T and that was all we needed to know about her to get the plot rolling! She's an entertaining and somewhat sympathetic figure and plot device that we want to see Win in the plot's episode and gives us a solid start to what we should expect in the show!

We don't really get any hints from what little screen time she has that Mayberry is discontent with her marriage, felt pressured to be in one, or that she also has an Interest in women ; it's similar to Sallie's lesbian reveal that -- while totally awesome that we finally got a popular lesbian character -- felt like something that was just slapped onto her after her reappearance in Apology Tour because people now want more than 1 lesbian among the plethora of other sexualities. I'm almost fairly certain that her cameo with Martha was done as a joke and for shock value, and now that their ship has gotten popular they're pulling a Cherri/snake : giving us a ship with no on-screen substance but throwing merch at us because it got more popular with the fans than they were expecting.

I'm hoping that the development between Mayberry and Martha will be explored through a short in the future. I LIKE that Mayberry is a lesbian! However, I feel like seeing the development between the two that happened off-screen would greatly help me like this reveal + ship more and would hopefully provide answers to some very important questions relating to Martha and Mayberry.

wanted to give an update due to events irl as well as an explanation for my absence!

a little over a month ago, my [ maternal ] grandfather had passed as a result of a fall. since then, i have been spending this time grieving and helping my grandmother with preparations alongside my mother. we have been going through his belongings, contacting family and friends, and getting paperwork sorted through ; we've also been doing much-needed cleaning, as they both grandparents shared many items and we needed to do a deep cleaning of the house anyways.

nearly a month after my grandfather's passing, my [ maternal ] great-grandfather also died. while i wasn't as close to him as i was to my grandfather, i've still been taking time to myself to grieve and help immediate family with his passing. mostly in just being present, as he was in his early 90's and had a number of health problems and we've seen this coming for some time. we are also going through his belongings at this time and contacting family, which has been the toughest part thus far, but we're getting through it!

i thank everyone for being patient with me during this time, and thank you for taking the time to read this!

i have safely changed all my passwords connected to google, tumblr, DA, etc. and after i sent in a form for Support to look over, i was replied to very quickly!

additionally and most importantly, I HAVE MY ACCOUNT BACK!

given the amount of people throwing in forms, i'm cautiously optimistic that Support will be taking the damage done seriously and that those who have also been affected have their accounts recovered quickly!!
