i think its funny that if 15 year old daredevil ended up in gotham bruce would adopt him but if adult daredevil ended up in gotham i think matt would be tempted to break his no-killing rule

Hannibal's POV:
Frances was still in surgery. I had offered to drive Meadow back to their house. It was quite late, and I didn't want them to go alone. It was dangerous for women like her to be out this late at night. I could tell she was still rather anxious, as I walked her to her door.
"Hannibal?" She asked.
"Yes?" I gave her my full attention, her back to the door and me blocking her from the outside world.
"There's something about you, something that's different." she started.
I didn't say much, allowing her to continue. It was a technique I used in sessions so as to not accidentally sway the conversation away from its original intention.
"I suppose, what I'm trying to say is, I- I know what you did for Frances tonight."
My body tensed slightly. How could she have possibly figured out what I did? Did she follow me, have someone else follow me? Perhaps that ain't what she meant. But I would a fool to insult her intelligence. It was one of the things I liked about her. She was brilliant, and even from the limited amount of contact we've had so far, I could tell that clearly.
I was about to speak, but she cut me off with a hug. I tensed but slowly relaxed into her touch. Seemingly a natural reaction from my body, something I couldn't help.
"Don't worry, I won't tell anyone. Your secrets are safe with me." She muttered into my chest.
I couldn't help the small smile that broke onto my face. She should e terrified of me, running for the hills. But here she was, thanking me for killing someone. Of course, it was to save her fr4einds life. But most people would still be disgusted by my actions.
"Would you mind if I came in? Perhaps we could disguss things." "You don't have to explain yourself, Hannibal. It's none of my business what you do when I'm not with you. Unless, of course, you're planning to kill me, then maybe I'd want to know."
She chuckled. The light sound fluttered through the air.
"It does not bother you?"
She stepped aside after unlocking the door, a silent invitation.
"You'll learn very quickly, Dr Lecter, I'm quite impassive to most things. I care about my survival and the people I love. You have been quite helpful, that gives you immunity in my book. There's not much you could do now that could scare me away." She concluded.
It was rather interesting. Hearing the difference in how she spoke to different people. She was very defensive and standoffish when talking to Agent Crawford. With Frances, she was soft, almost like talking to a child. But with me, she was formal, but somehow in a casual way. Not like she was frightened of misspeaking, just that she didn't feel the need to change her language with me. She was comfortable.
"Water?" She asked.
"Please," I said.
I stood near her island counter. Her little house was quite quaint. I could see more into her personality as I looked around. She wasn't afraid of colour, but it was tastefully used. Accent walls, flower vases and couch pillows to brighten up the place. It was clean, not overly neat, but everything seemed to have a place. It was nice.
She handed me a glass of ice water. I thanked her. She made her way around the counter and sat on the stool across from me. Sipping her water in comfortable silence.
"That wasn't your first, was it?"
"Pardon?"
I was caught off guard by the fact that we were still on this topic of conversation.
"To harvest someone's organs, without mucking them up, isn't an easy task, now is it?" She sipped her water. "It requires skill and precision. It's why most surgeons have to spend half their lives in school. Where you ever interested in surgery, Hannibal?"
I cleared my throat. I don't know why I was so nervous. She seemed so cool and callous now, even if it wasn't aimed at me. it was a far cry fro, her more sweet persona back at the hospital.
"I have quite a few textbooks in my office. But I transferred my skills to that of the culinary arts. I much prefer it."
A small smile broke on her beautiful lips.
"Maybe you could cook for me sometime?"
"If you'll have me."
I swallowed thickly, her smile affecting me more than it should have. I swore I could stare at it forever, and die a happy man. There was something so effortlessly beautiful about the woman sitting before me. It was intoxicating.
"You can relax Hannibal, I'm not going to hurt you. Im just, curious is all. I've never met a man quite like you. You've piqued my interest. Besides, there's not much that can be done tonight."
She patted the stool beside her. I took off my coat, draping it over the counter. Normally I was quite confident, but Meadow made me nervous. Like I was a lad back in secondary school again.
"You don't want the FBI to find him," I stated.
"Interesting, how did you come to that conclusion?"
"Frances mentioned that this was about you, the killer must know you in some way. Judging by your reaction to my late-night activities, killing doesn't bother you. Which means you are familiar."
"Not in practice."
"Your theory?"
"I don't wish to discuss this with you at the moment. Tonight was quite stressful, don't you think? As a psychiatrist, what would you suggest in ways of stress relief?"
She places a hand on my thigh.
"Talking thing's over tends to help."
She rolled her gorgeous eyes.
"Isn't it your job to listen then? You talk too much Dr Lecter."
I couldn't bring myself to frown. Of course, she was deflecting, distracting herself. But as far as I could tell, she was of sane mind. Neither of us was under the influence. I felt her hand creep further up my thigh. I didn't bother to try to stop her. I turned to look her in the eyes.
"Are you suggesting that the events of tonight arouse you, miss Meadow?" I asked smuggly.
"I'm suggesting that I will handle things, you've served your purpose in this game. And I would like you to bend me over this counter fuck the stress out of me Dr. You think you're up for that?"
I wasted no time smashing my lips into hers. They were soft, but by no means delicate. She kissed me back with fever, biting at my bottom lip harshly. I accepted her question by allowing her to slip her tongue into my mouth. As we fought for dominance I was pleasantly surprised when she won. Pinning my tongue down effortlessly with her own.
Her hands made their way to my chest, desperately trying to find something to hold onto. A brushed a hand through her hair, pushing it out of the way. I finally pulled back for some air. She leaned her forehead against mine, panting softly. Her eyes looked hungry and dark, and it was incredibly sexy. She smiled brightly, but cut it off by biting her lower lip, hard enough to draw blood. I couldn't help myself upon seeing it, she was far too tempting.
I licked a line across her lip, tasting just how sweet she was. I couldn't get enough.
"You know, I think I have a better idea, my dear." I declared.
"Yeah?"
I picked her up effortlessly, and she wrapped her legs around my torso. I walked her over to the couch. I not so gently set her down.
"If you honestly need to destress, then I should focus on you."
Seems she didn't need to be told twice as she lifted the hem of her dress. I stopped her as her hands reached for her red lace panties. I gently guided her hand away, and planted little kisses along her thigh. She threw her head back and leaned against the couch. I used my teeth to slowly pull down her undergarments until she was bare before me. My heart felt like it was beating out of my chest. I hadn't done something this wild or animalistic in a long time.
My keen sense of smell was sending me into overdrive. Everything about her smell was invigorating.
"Are you sure you want this?" "Stop talking Hannibal!" Damn, she was attractive when she was bossy. I licked my lips before diving in. I pinned her legs to the couch with my arms so she couldn't squirm away. I began my pace, slow and steady, enjoying how wet she already was. She was going to be in for a long night.
France's POV:
The hospital was dull. The endless beeping from the monitors was driving me insane. I could hear it even in my slumber, but not that I was awake it only grew louder and more incessant. Every inch of my body was buzzing with the morphine they injected me with after surgery. It made me feel numb in all the wrong ways. I truly hated it.
The harsh smell of antiseptic and the distant smell of linoleum made my head spin. But there wasn't much I could do, they kept me drugged and sedated so that I might heal. My new organs hadn't begun to reject yet, but I'd have to medicate for the rest of my life to keep it that way. How they found such suitable agencies is beyond me.
It felt odd, to have body parts that weren't my own. My mind knew they didn't belong to me,,l yet they functioned all the same. Except for my heart. I could feel it stutter, the rhythm thrown off every now and again. It beat entirely different to how it used to. It made me feel lighter. Like the mental weight, my heart had held before had just vanished. No more anguish or sorrowful affliction. Just emptiness, plain and simple.
For lack of a better word, I felt naked. The avoirdupois of my sins hidden just out of my reach. My blood was faster now, they must have me on blood thinners. Breaking up the sludge the poison had caused. Hopefully, that wouldn't be for too long. They didn't feel very nice. My eye shot open upon hearing footsteps. They were hurried and unnatural, unlike that of a doctor. Unless there was a coding patient, and I was almost certain I wasn't. The door to my room was quickly opened and then shut.
"Well hello, little dancer. I see you're all fixed up. It's a shame, you were so cute when you were my puppet." The voice mused.
"You." I spat.
I hissed as a sat up, but ignored the pain running through me.
"Don't worry, I'm almost done tying up loose ends. I've already taken care of the Cheshire Cat. Tweedle Dee and Tweedle dumb are occupied with the white rabbit. But it seems, so is the White Queen. It seems I'll have to draw her out of her little rabbit hole. What better way to lure her in than with the Hatter and the girl."
"I am not a girl. And I won't be your Alice!"
"It's cute, you think you have a choice."
Suddenly I was hit over the head and the world went dark.
When I awoke, I was somewhere else, somewhere cold and dank. It smelt of sawdust and oil. A warehouse. It also smelt like, dog? That couldn't be right. I pried my eyes open to notice, I wasn't on the ground. My hands were bound about my head, and there was no wall near me, yet my head was supported by something. Or someone. That must be where the dog smell was coming from, the man tied to me was covered in dog hair.
He was still sleeping, and I couldn't think of a better way to wake him.
"I'm sorry," I whispered, heaving my head back into his.
This effectively startled him awake, but he began squirming, which tugged on my restraints.
"Can you please stop that?"
"Where am I?"
"Why would I know the answer to that question, I'm in the same damn boat as you mate."
He finally seemed to calm down.
"What's your name?"
"Will. Yours?"
"Frances. That must make you the Hatter." I mumbled.
"What?"
"The killer. The storyline he's planning. The man your team is investigating. Keep up now." I said.
"Oh." "Yeah. Shit! Fuck!" I swore.
"What?" He asked, sounding more concerned.
"Hate to break it to you William, but were totally fucked here. And I mean colossally." I laughed. "Wow, this is really who I'm going to die. Tied to a stranger in a filthy old warehouse. Bet the rats will finish us off." "We're not going to die." He tried to calm me.
"You naive summer child, I've seen how this story ends. In his version, the Red Queen wins. Everyone loses their heads. Story over. He's gonna lure Meadow here and that sick bastard is gonna kill us. I suppose there are worse people I could die with. You could be more annoying."
"I haven't even done anything." "Exactly, for an FBI agent, you're incredibly useless right now. You've been awake for nearly eight minutes now and haven't even once tried to break out of your restraints."
"Neither have you." He grumbled.
"Don't know if you've noticed mate, but I'm in significantly worse off shape than you."
Before I could continue my like of insults, that was misplaced, a door opened.
"Ahh, the two of you are awake. Good."
"Look, can we skip whatever Villain monologue you're going to spew and just get to it. I don't want the last thing I hear to be your grating, mousy voice."
"Don't antagonise him." Will scolded.
"Fine, little Alice, then let's let the show begin. Get you both prepped for her arrival."
"What does that mean?" Will asked. "What does that mean?" he aimed the question at me this time.
He pulled out two syringes.
"Wouldnt want this to hurt too bad." He cooed.
Injecting the both of us with some sort of crude, homemade version of morphine. After just getting off the real stuff, I could tell the difference. He lifted a metal pole off the ground, looking me in the eyes.
"I know you said no monologues, but I should explain to you how this works." I rolled my eyes.
"I am going to drive these through the two of you, don't worry, it's not gonna kill you. Not right away at least. Give me and Meadow some time to Chat." "Great so you're a Saw fan. How predictable."
"You shouldn't even be able to talk right now. That's gonna suck for you. Your friend here got a bit luckier with his dose it seems."
Before I could question what he meant, he drove the pole through us. I groaned. But Will didn't even seem to make a sound. Was he passed out? The next fifteen minutes were agonising. He stood back, almost as if to admire his work. Suddenly, a door opened at the far end of the warehouse. The sedative finally seemed to wear off will, as he tried to squirm gain.
He quickly realised how stupid that was.
"Ahh, the Queen has arived. Hello little Sister."
"Sister?" I whispered.
That was twist I didn't expect coming.
"Let them go, Brother!" She demanded.
"OH, but we've only just gotten stated. Finally a real family reunion, you know, after what happened to mommy and daddy."
“You’re not doing this again! You’re not going to make me choose.”
“But you’ve already made so many wonderful choices! I want a front row seat this time. The Agent, or your little friend!”
“You sick bastard.”
He growled, grabbing one of the polls and twisting it, eliciting a long groan from me, and a cry from Will. Yep, he was definitely awake now. Poor man. My high pain tolerance was helping significantly. Plus the heavy dose of drugs already in my system.
Blood quickly started to trickle from my wound.
“Wrong choice sister, seems you’ll have to decide quicker then I thought. Your little friend here is bleeding out.”
“That’s because you’re wank at this.”
He twisted it again. The scream from Will made me wince, wishing I could shrink in on myself.
“Right, shutting up now.”
“Why?”
“Why what?”
“Why make me like this? Hmm, what is your end goal. You went to prison once you’ll go back again.”
“And I’ll break out again. And everywhere tou go, I will be your shadow. Like I always am.”
She laughed callously.
“Really? That’s what this is about? Mom and dad choosing favorites?”
“They gave you all the attention! Not me! Even before you were born, they never cared for me! And I’m had to watch them dote after your every little move. I had to admit, I was surprised you chose to spare mom after how hard she always was on you to be successful. Shame she didn’t last long after I went to prison. What was it like, Cleaning her blood off the walls after you found her?”
That sick bastard. I was starting to understand why Meadow was so different now. Her friendliness she displayed was just a front. She was just as broken as I was, maybe more so. I could tell she was growing increasingly frustrated.
“Il vous prend pour un imbécile. Ignore ça chérie.” I stuttered out.
Her head snapped back to me, and her eyes softened. She ran over to me, doing her best to try and carress my cheek.
“I’m fine, it’s him you should be worried about.”
“You’re bleeding.”
“So is he.”
“Frances I almost lost you once this week, I’m not-“
“And you won’t. C'est un idiot. Nous pouvons le déjouer.”
“You heard what he said.”
He was watching from across the room, pacing like a shark.
“Alors vous savez ce que vous avez à faire.”
“Enough with the secret language!” He bellowed.
“It’s french you dickwad!”
“Make your choice little sister!”
I gave her a weak smile.
“It’s obvious they aren’t going to make it.” She started.
She made her way around to William.
“I’m sorry, this is going to hurt.” She stated.
She began pulling the pipes out from his side, driving them further into my body. Will’s screams pained me, and I wished to forget them quickly.
“You’re doing great” I tried to encourage.
But I could feel myself growing weaker by the second. This idiot was truly dumber than I thought, he didn’t even place them in the right spot. Even if she did pull them out, it wouldn’t hit any of my vital organs. Of course, Meadow has already figured this out. I made her watch the movie and went on about each trap for hours on end. I guess she listened to every word. It would make my heart ache, if not for the situation we were currently in.
“Why is Alice your favorite?”
“What?” Her brother asked.
“Escapism, why was that your choice? You do know how that story ends right? The original, not the Disney happy ending bullshit!”
Meadow continued her goal quickly, trying to free us both from our precarious trap.
“It’s, it’s a good story.”
“But what about it made you obsessed huh? Why did you make me Alice!”
“You’re different, I’ve seen it. You’re just the naive little ballerina, who always does what their told. You follow the script.”
“But I’m not a hero.”
“No, but I won’t bother to make you into one. I’m my story, Alice doesn’t wake up.”
He grew closer. Which helped because my voice was grew weaker.
“And what a story that would be, The Red Queen finally kills the hero! Why make your sister do it, you coward?”
Will and I finally fell to the ground, our hands freed, with one last pole between us. I shakily grabbed it with my hands.
“You know what, maybe I’ll do it!”
I ripped out the pole and swung it for his knee caps, causing him to fall to the floor. I collapsed as well, the last of my energy being used up.
“Frances!”
“I’m- I’m fine. End this.” I grunted out.
She stalked toward her brother. I turned my attention to will, crawling over to him. He looked pretty worse for ware. I was only wearing my thin hospital gown and some undergarments. But I was used to strutting around in nothing more than a leotard for my job. I stripped it off and tried to put pressure on his biggest wound.
“You’ve got dogs?” I asked.
“Yeah-“ He said, confused.
“Good, tell me about them. You need to stay awake, ok?”
I kept his attention on me. His skin was pale and clammy, but I assumed mine looked no better.
“I am done playing you’re games brother! I won’t let you hurt me anymore.”
She kicked him.
“You won’t hurt my friends”
Again.
“And you won’t haunt me anymore!”
But this time he caught her leg, dragging her to the ground. I watched helplessly as they struggled for a while. I looked to see a pipe still near me, the edge more jagged then the rest.
“You think you have enough strength to hold pressure on this?” I asked will.
He gave me a nod. I gave him a weak smirk in return. I crawled over to the pipe.
“Hey Meadow, heads up!” I threw it to her.
“You’re rein has ended brother. Tell dad I say hi!”
She slammed it down on his neck, severing his head from his body. I fell back, this whole nightmare finally over. She ran back over to me. Before I could open my mouth, she cut me off again.
“Don’t you dare say you’re fine again Frances. I had Hannibal on speaker the whole time. The cops heard his confession. The ambulance is on its way.”
“You killed him.”
“Self defence.” She shrugged.
I laughed bitterly.
“Why’d you choose me?” Will asked.
“Frances likes you.” She shrugged again. That’s a difficult feat.
I rolled my eyes. I did not like him. I tolerated him, there was a difference. Though now that I could really see him, he looked like a kick puppy. It was sort of adorable. Things got more blurry as the paramedics rushed in. I knew I had a long road to recovery ahead. I watched as Hannibal embraced Meadow. It seemed worried and sincere.
She came back over to check on me. I have her a weird look.
“What?” She asked.
“Nothing.” I lied.
“No seriously, what?”
“You totally shagged him, didn’t you?” I asked.
Her eyes widened.
“Oh my god, you did!! I knew there was a reason you were my favourite. How was he, was he good?”
She chuckled, rolling her eyes.
“How about I tell you when you’re not dying? We’ll have plenty of time to talk when you’re in rehab.”
“Ugh, dont remind me.” I frowned.
“Now stop fighting the paramedics and let them patch you up for fucks sake. You’re a handful.”
“Yeah Yeah. I’ll behave.”
I sent à wavering glance to where they were patching up Will.
“You’re growing friend feelings”.
I scoffed.
“Am not.”
“Are too! That’s the same way you looked at me when we first met.”
I shoved her face away, tapping the back of the Ambulance.
“You can take me back to hell now.” I yelled.
She laughed, closing the ambulance doors behind her as they drove away.
An: ahhh this was so much fun! Now I can go back to present day when everyone’s already friends. That was a really fun storyline to write. I can’t wait to see what other shenanigans I think up for us!
