Dionysus and Polites!! (This is just a little self indulgent thing i wanted to draw, been super into mythology + epic the musical, and I have been naming lots of my pokemon after greek mythos so thought it'd be fun!) Idk if this will be an au or not but some notes i thought of while drawing them: -Dionysus isn't actually a leafeon, but simply takes the form of one. (This is why his eyes are purple instead of a natural brown color) -Polites has his feelers wrapped around his head to resemble his ribbon! Sketches/Lines below the cut!

"Alright, what do I do first?" Odysseus asked. The small raft rocked underneath him as he finally got farther and farther away from that damned island. Hermes zipped around him, the wings on his hat and sandals fluttering, until he was laying horizontally on the air in front of Odysseus. "First you gotta go through uncharted waters. For anyone else I'd say they would have to be careful not to get lost, but I doubt you'll have to worry about that dawling." Odysseus raised an eyebrow. "And why's that?" He inquired. With an amused chuckle, Hermes moved to casually sling an arm around Odysseus' shoulder. He pulled him into his side, so that their cheeks were smushed against each other. With his free hand, he pointed towards the sky, holding his fingers out in a way typical for sailors to navigate by the stars. "I believe there's an old friend of yours, who has been waiting for a chance to guide you back home. You'll just have to follow him." He moved his hand upward and Odysseus followed with his gaze until his eyes landed on something extraordinary. Even though it was still the middle of the day, a singular star was shining brightly against the blue sky. His breath caught in his throat as realization set in. It was the same star that Odysseus had looked for on every sleepless night in the past ten years. It had brought him great comfort back when he was still at sea. But something about the way it twinkled above Calypso's island had always felt a little hollow to him, as if it wasn't actually there. Now that he was finally free, the liveliness that he had missed so much was back. "Polites," Odysseus breathed in reverence. His heart was yearning as he reached his own hand out towards the lonesome star. It had been a long time since he had last seen his friend. The star twinkled cheerfully, as if to answer Odysseus' call. For the fraction of a moment, he could actually see Polites staring down at him with a soft smile on his face, his form glowing in an ethereal light. The vision was gone as quickly as it had come, but Odysseus felt something inside of him settle with the knowledge that his friend was still watching out for him.

I read somewhere that he was ripped as fuck, but knowing how he is in epic he probably got that buff just to give the best bear hugs in the world

also he doesn't weild a weapon cause "GREET THE WORLD WITH OPEN ARMS" but he does use a shield, since, sometimes, greeting the world with open arms doesn't work that well..
