The selfshipping community has a huge problem with amatonormativity tbh.

Y'all struggle to accept polyamorous selfshippers, QueerPlatonic selfshippers, romantic selfshippers who don't want to get married or have kids, familial selfshippers, pet selfshippers, platonic selfshippers, etc etc etc.

Work on dismantling your amatonormativity. Not only for the community, but for yourself too. It can be good for your mental health, it was for mine personally.

I actually ... don't think so? I don't think I have any aro/ace f/os and I myself am allo all the way? So! Whoops, sorry.

Messy is my middle name. A good chunk of ships have a situationship/fwbs thing that kinda goes off into romantic tension at some point (such as Jackzai and Jackiwai) and then there's general angst and complicated emotions between some (like CaseyDark and CaseyActor) and THEN there's Jackruki which has ... kind of a really rocky road to a relationship and even then Maruki is dealing with trying to like ... not obsess over Jack's health and safety. I like slightly complicated relationships in my self ships what can I say?

It genuinely does not matter how many followers you have or how much traction you get- popular or not- you should NEVER accuse someone of not loving their beloved, you should never invalidate someone for any reason, you cannot just make assumptions that because someone doesn't post about their beloved often that that suddenly means the person doesn't love them. What about the people who have secret f/os? The fact they don't talk about that beloved doesn't mean they don't love them. You have no idea what goes on in the more personal aspects of their life either- well known blogs cannot possibly keep up with EVERYONE that follows them. Plenty of people also just generally aren't that social? Your own social media blog is yours to make as you want it, if you only ever want to post but don't want to be super social there's nothing wrong with that, different people have different comfort levels when it comes to that sort of thing. Plenty of people have their dms or asks closed for that reason. This is a GENERAL thing too, this is not selfship exclusive, there are people like this in all communities. Selfshippers are actually probably the MOST mutually supportive group of people I've seen compared to other communities, or at least the communities I've been in. If you're a smaller blog yes your love is real and valid and it always will be, and yes it's okay to feel jealous, but that is never a reason to invalidate anyone else- there's certain ways to handle that emotion and there's certain ways you shouldn't handle that emotion.
