A / N : I haven't written a headcanon in a hot minute so I thought why not? The idea is a bit messy and all over the place, but I hope you guys like it!

you feel free with your boyfriend when...❟

yeonjun; let's be real, yeonjun exudes freedom. he is the personification of the word to a tee and it's pretty difficult to not feel somewhat free and uncaring when he is around because he can wind you up in the best way possible. you feel a taste of freedom when he challenges you to do things out of the blue. though he knows your limits, he always tries to push you a little bit to do silly things. you'd feel the most free escaping from your own routine to be with him. let's say he'd show up out of nowhere for a date in the middle of nowhere to stargaze and talk more comfortably, and on the way there he'd blast music and roll the windows down to enjoy the wind while speeding down the highway. — it isn't particularly reckless nor dangerous, but it's interesting and it tastes like freedom. while he is around you are more comfortable to do things sporadically just for the sake of it. you feel free to have fun because of him.

soobin; your boyfriend is mostly known for being somewhat calm and maybe a bit paranoid over certain things. he isn't really sporadic nor a daredevil but when he is with you he is willing to do whatever you are up to, which in return puts him and you in the weirdest situations. soobin is a bit of a magnet of freedom. when you two least expect it, something comes up in front of his eyes and he invites you to join, and if you say yes then it becomes an adventure on it's own. for example, you'd both plan to go on a holiday date somewhere near the mountains and somehow get lost on your way there but luckily end up in a rural spot with small houses and friendly people. you'd end up hearing lots of stories, having some cozy moments, and sharing giggles and kisses besides a bonfire with a bunch of strangers that actually treat you nicely and make you and him feel at ease. — with soobin, you don't search for freedom but always find it at the most random moments. there's never an actual dull moment, or a second where you hold back from being yourself and going with the flow as long as he is besides you.

beomgyu; beomgyu provides you the feeling of freedom through words and unashamedly expressing your emotions to him. you'd walk around with your heart on your sleeve and he'd watch over it tenderly. he will constantly encourage you to speak your mind around him and in return he'll also share fragments of his heart, mind and soul to you unapologetically. one day you both would be in the comfort of your home and simply begin talking lovingly about how you feel without shy smiles or blushes. he'd look at you intently and hear you out expecting just the same from you in return. you'd trust him fully to take care of you and he'd do the same and right there you'd feel free. — he'd provide you the freedom and courage to love and be loved, but not to simply love him but everything as well. freedom and romance come hand in hand with beomgyu, because he can make you fall for the smallest of things. you'd find yourself feeling comfortable enough to exist and be, and in being yourself without fear you'd feel and find freedom.

taehyun; i feel like at heart, taehyun really is just a curious person who wants to be in charge of his own reality and inside his world you currently are living rent free so it's easy for him to simply add you into all his thoughts and plans. he'd encourage you (without noticing) to find answers to all the smallest things of life that you couldn't really understand. his constant reassurance and help would turn out to push you to be more like yourself around him and others. you won't hesitate before responding to something important, nor you'd doubt before making a big or small decision in your life. you'll end up finding what you want for yourself and your own reality beside him and in the entire process he'd be there to cheer you up. his strong will and intelligence will open a pandora box inside your brain, making you see your day to day life in a different light. sometimes you'd catch yourself feeling ten times more lighter with him around, as if you were floating. — with taehyun, curiousity will push you to see and do things out of the box sometimes and in those small moments you'd feel free. he'd embody freedom in the form of hugs, smiles and extensive talks about the things you want for your future. he'd encourage you to be shameless and confident against the odds, challenging yourself and others to keep up with all your plans and dreams.

hueningkai; before meeting you, kai thought of himself as some sort of coward. he'd constantly compare himself to others and find flaws on him for some reason. his self steem wasn't at an all time high, but once he took the first step to date you and then ended up landing a stable relationship with you, things began to shift and change inside his brain. he'd feel somewhat courageous around you; he'd no longer doubt his talents or self worth and it will be in your relationship and love that he'd somehow find the strength to let go and feel things deeply without the fear of getting hurt. this change in his personality and views will rub off on you and you'd both fall into a state of freedom without noticing at first. whenever you two were around each other, things would fall into place perfectly. you'd balance each other out and that'd give you enough room to feel more comfortable and act more like yourselves. — with kai, freedom would come in the form of silent reassurance. the comfort of being loud and having fun, or simply chilling in the arms of your lover would be enough to make you feel free and at peace. you'd know he got your back and you got his and that'd be enough to encourage you to try new things and learn from it. growth and freedom will be hand in hand with kai.
