This is for all the Hamefura cast. If you could trade your current magical element for another one, which one would you pick and why?

Geordo: Trade a magic element?

Geoffrey: Sounds like an interesting one for sure. I'm quite comfortable with fire magic, but I suppose wing would be my pick. Being able to pick up on a small sounds and voices from far away seems like a good trick to have.

Suzanna: Why doesn't that surprise me? I suppose I would pick water magic. It has it's perks and can be very versatile. I would say the most versatile of the magic elements besides wind.

Geordo: That is true, I would pick wind as well. Nicol was kind enough to show me how useful it can be. It's useful even when one doesn't have much magic power.

Alan: Hm... I would say fire cause it's cool.

Ian: Well, I frankly don't have much of an opinion, but I think earth magic would be a good one to have. Just so it's easy to make a protective barrier if need be. What do you think, Selena?

Selena: O-oh, i would agree, I think I would like earth magic as well, Lady Katarina does ell with it despite her magic being weak like mine.

Mary: I see, I mean, I'm happy with water magic since it helps me water the plants in a jiffy if I need to. But, well... perhaps light magic, I know it's rare, but it'd be useful to help my plants grow.

Katarina: Hm~ I don't think any element would make up for how weak it is... But perhaps water magic, I think it would be most useful even when weak. A small puddle can make something scary tumble!

Keith: I would go with wind magic, considering how m magic can be hard to control at times, it seems like the safest option.

Sophia: I mean, I think water magic, it just seems... very fairy like. I read stories about how faries collect and move water droplets, I think water magic would be wonderful in that case.

Nicol: I would pick earth magic, like Keith, it's a gentle option and its uses can be varied depending on the situation.

Maria: Magic element instead of light? I suppose earth magic, I think that'll be the one I'm most comfortable with.

Raphael: Well, my wind magic is already rather useful, I suppose if I had to pick another one, it would be fire. It might help me with certain things, and make sure tea stays hot longer. Cold tea is not good unless it's supposed to be cold.

Sora: I don't really have a preference, but perhaps wind magic, being able to pick up on voices plus maaaaybe redirecting voices could be fun.

I already linked this in the actual story, however I figured after a bit of thinking that it wouldn’t hurt to post it here as well.

This is essentially the redesign of Katarina I made for my story ‘My Next Life as Sorcier’s Strongest Woman!’ on AO3. This redesign was created via photo shop using pre-existing images, with the outfit she’s wearing made from outfit pieces from the ‘Love Nikki’ dress up game that I modified, combined together and then designed Katarina into.

Also, not gonna lie, I originally only did this redesign because I desperately wanted to see if I could make Katarina look good in pants. Whether I succeeded or not it a matter of opinion I suppose.

Kisa Sohma: Peace Domain Cleric

Kisa was kinda hard to pick due to her being so young. But I definitely imagine she would become a cleric in honor of Tohru. However I don’t think the life domain would fit her. I personally feel that the peace domain suits her more, due to her peaceful nature and desire to make friends at school as well as her constantly playing peacemaker between Hiro and Tohru.

Due to being young I personally feel that Kisa’s stats would be overall more average with her highest being Wisdom. Her lowest stat would definitely be strength though.

Stats:

Strength: 7 (-2)

Dexterity: 15 (+2)

Constitution: 12 (0)

Intelligence: 13 (+1)

Wisdom: 15 (+2)

Hiro Sohma: Inquisitive Rogue

At first I was gonna have Hiro be a paladin or fighter due to his desire to be a knight for Kisa. However I feel like neither fits his personality like Rogue does. His first action was literally to steal from Tohru. Hiro’s also naturally inquisitive and perceptive so I feel like this subclass suits him a lot. If only Hiro taught Kisa how to uncanny dodge when Akito attacked her.

Like Kisa I feel like due to his age that his stats would not be that great, with dexterity and intelligence being his highest scores. Constitution and strength would be rarely average with wisdom and charisma being his lowest stats.

Ritsu Sohma: School of Illusion Wizard

Ritsu was hard due to his lack of appearances. However, I eventually settled on wizard due to his timid nature. I personally feel like he would study illusions due to his self consciousness and make himself disappear, however, like I said I don’t really know enough about him to give a more concrete answer.

His highest stat would have to be intelligence due to being a wizard but I feel like his stats would be Farley average or low due to his lack of confidence. Wisdom and charisma are definitely his lowest scores.

Dexterity: 15 (+2)

Constitution: 10 (0)

Kureno Sohma: The Great Old One Warlock

Kureno I feel would suit the warlock class very well due to him making a pact to stay by Akito’s side after his curse broke. In this case Akito would be his patron under ‘the great old one’ due to Akito being the reincarnation of god from the zodiac story.

Charisma would definitely be his highest score with dexterity, strength and constitution being more average. This man definitely has low intelligence and wisdom due to being an airhead and not seeing how his behavior enabled Akito.

Strength: 14 (+2)

Dexterity: 16 (+3)

Constitution: 14 (+2)

Akito Sohma: Divine Soul Sorcerer

Due to being the reincarnation of god from the zodiac as well as their desire to be special, divine soul sorcerer definitely suits Akito very well. Divine soul also stacks things heavily in Akito’s favor in regards to dice rolls, something which Akito would have experienced due to being the god of the zodiac.

Akito’s highest stat would definitely be charisma, with an average intelligence, dexterity, strength and constitution. Akito’s lowest stat would definitely be wisdom.

Tohru Honda: Life Domain Cleric

The delegated healer of the show, I can definitely see Tohru as a life domain cleric due to her desire to heal those around her. I contemplated her being a light domain cleric, but I felt that the life domain suited her more. I personally headcanon that she was originally a light cleric but became a life cleric after her mother died so she would always raise dead and revivify prepared. Her Devine patron is definitely her mom.

Stat wise I can see her having high wisdom and charisma with an average constitution and intelligence. I feel her lowest stats would be strength and dexterity due to her clumsy nature and weak strength as shown both times she hit Kyo. And ‘remove’ curse would definitely be a spell she always has prepared ;).

Kyo Sohma: Way of Mercy Monk

Was there any doubt that he’d pick a class focused on martial arts? I will admit I had trouble picking a subclass that fitted his character. So I headcanon that he was a level 2 monk up until he got to know Tohru, and then as a result of her influence and his desire to help her, he ended up choosing the Way of Mercy path. Also because he felt mega guilt for not being able to save her mom.

Stat wise he probably has a high strength and dexterity, with strength being a little higher. He’d probably have a high constitution with an average intelligence and wisdom. I’d recon his lowest stat would probably be charisma, due to his general social awkwardness, but it wouldn’t be low enough where people don’t like him. Overall fairly good stats :)

Yuki Sohma: Way of the Cobalt Soul Monk/Transmutation Wizard

Again another tricky one to figure out, but I can definitely see him as a more intelligent fighter so I imagine he would use the ‘extract aspects’ feature of his subclass a lot. Especially against Kyo. However, I couldn’t see him as only a monk so I imagine he would multiclass into wizard due to his high intelligence score. I felt transmutation suited him the most due to his desire to change himself for the better and become more open to people.

Stat wise I feel his highest scores would be dexterity and intelligence. I personally headcanon that his strength is lower than Kyo’s but his dexterity is higher. charisma and wisdom would be his more average score with constitution being his weakest score due to his poor health.

Shigure Sohma: Mastermind Rogue

Conniving, devious and willing to do whatever it takes to get what he wants, the rogue class would definitely suit him. Due to him not liking to get his own hands dirty and general manipulative nature, I figured he would definitely be a mastermind rogue.

Out of all the characters I 100% believe he would be the type to fudge his rolls, having high stats in dexterity, charisma, intelligence and wisdom with his only average rolls being strength and constitution. Shigure probably fucked god to get good rolls in D&D along with the luck feat, min-maxing bastard.

Strength: 14(+2)

Dexterity: 18 (+4)

Constitution: 14 (+2)

Intelligence: 19 (+5)

Wisdom: 20 (+5)

Charisma: 18 (+4)

Momiji Sohma: College of Eloquence Bard

With charisma in spades and brilliant musical skills, no other classes suits him but bard. I chose the college of eloquence for him due to it being a class that focuses more on a person’s ability to say the right thing and affect people with their words. Something which I think fits him really well. He refuses to use the modify memory spell for obvious reasons.

I feel like Momiji’s highest stats would be dexterity, charisma and wisdom. His constitution and intelligence would be fairly average with strength being his lowest stat.

Dexterity: 18 (+4)

Constitution: 14 (+2)

Intelligence: 12 (0)

Hatsuharu Sohma: Path of the Beast Barbarian

Although Haru studied martial arts along with Yuki and Kyo, I personally don’t see Haru being a monk like Kyo and Yuki. My first thought was barbarian due to his dual personalities, with one being incredibly aggressive. I chose the path of the beast for Haru due to it fitting him turning ‘black,’or into a beast in this case, when angry. Plus the idea of barbarian Haru turning into a cow when angry was too hilarious to pass up.

Haru’s highest stats would be strength, constitution and wisdom with dexterity and charisma being more average. His lowest stat would definitely be intelligence though cause let’s face it, this guy is always getting lost.

Kagura Sohma: Path of the Beserker Barbarian

Another character whom I immediately thought barbarian upon seeing them. She definitely fits this class well due to her aggressive personality. I put her as the path of the berserker due to her frenzy-like tendencies when she sees Kyo or feels incredibly passionate about something. Her and Haru are barbarian buddies.

Her highest stats would definitely be strength and dexterity, with a fairly average constitution, intelligence and wisdom. I feel like her lowest stats would be charisma.

Dexterity: 17 (+4)

Constitution: 15 (+2)

Intelligence: 12 (0)

Isuzu/Rin Sohma: Oath of Devotion Paladin

Rin was another hard one to figure out. But I eventually settled on her being a paladin due to her desire to fight against the evil of the curse and protect Haru. I feel like the oath of devotion really suits Rin due to her devotion to freeing Haru from the curse no matter the cost. If only protect from good and evil could have saved her from Akito.

I feel like her highest stats would be dexterity and wisdom, with charisma, strength and intelligence being more average. Her lowest stat would definitely be constitution though due to her tendency to get sick.

Ayame Sohma: College of Creation Bard

This man is definitely a bard and no one can tell me otherwise. I was tossing up between college of glamour and college of creation, but I felt creation suited him more due to his love of creating fashion and incredible passion. He also wants to create a better bond with Yuki but unfortunately the mending cantrip does not work on human relationships.

His highest stat would definitely be charisma and dexterity, man is real slippery. His constitution would be pretty average along with his intelligence. Strength and wisdom are definitely his lowest stats though.

Hatori Sohma: Order Domain Cleric

Due to him being the family doctor I can definitely imagine him being a cleric. I can also see him under the order domain due to him being in charge of ensuring that the curse remains a secret ergo keeping order. Modify memory is the one spell he always has prepared.

His highest stats would definitely be wisdom and intelligence, but he would have average dexterity, constitution and strength. His lowest stat would definitely be charisma though, the man is not even remotely smooth.

The Destruction of Arya Stark

I’ll admit that when Game of Thrones first aired, Arya was by far my favorite character, with Daenerys being a close second. Her inability to conform with the world around her and her desire for adventure made me relate to her right away. I just KNEW that Arya was destined for great things. Killing the Night King however was not what i imagined.

Don’t get me wrong I would have been all for it, had it been foreshadowed correctly other then with the throwaway line by Melisandre. Jon for example was shown multiple times having stare downs with the Night King and was one of the first characters of the series to atually kill a white walker.

So naturally it would have been more expected for him to do it. Especially with the whole ‘prince that was promised’ prophecy that was completely ignored along with Cersei’s prophecy in that garbage that was season 8.

Watching the destruction of Arya’s character in season 8 almost destroyed me as much as watching Daenerys’. She went from a sassy true blood Stark, who whilst had moments of cruelty when she was gaining revenge for her house, truly loved her pack and wanted nothing more than to return home.

Instead, in season 8 Arya was reduced to noting more than a plot device and Sansa’s yes man, only existing in order to call Sansa ‘the smartest person she ever met.’

First of all Arya that’s bullshit. Have you completely forgotten when you served as cup bearer to the one and only Tywin Lannister? He may have been responsible for the fall of house Stark, but nobody not even Arya can deny that he was way smarter than Sansa could ever be.

My least favorite scene was when she was in King’s Landing with Plot Armour thicker than the Mountain’s biceps protecting her from dragon fire when any other character would have died.

Not even her killing the Night King and sleeping with Gendry could save her character development. I think my major problem with her killing the Night King is the WAY that she did it as well.

I’ve found that many people have used her training as a faceless man to justify her ability to sneak up on the Night King.

Firstly, The Night King and his White Walkers are SUPERNATURAL creatures. Even if Arya was completely silent they still should have noticed her sneaking up on the Night King, no amount of training could have prepared ANYONE to do that.

Secondly, Arya wasn’t technically a fully trained faceless man. Even if she was, faceless men are in no way invincible or unbeatable.

For example Jaqen H’ghar was a fully trained, professional faceless man yet he somehow got captured and later had to be freed by Arya. This occurred despite him being shown to be capable of killing multiple targets without being spotted.

Another example is the Waif who despite years of training was outwitted and killed by Arya, someone who had not been fully trained yet.

So no, her being a faceless man does not make her invincible. It makes her a talented fighter with a particular skill in clever sneak attacks (her attack on the Freys) but in no way does it make her capable of sneaking up on the Night King the Way she did.

Arya went from the Sassy, brave and strong woman we all knew and loved to an empty shell of herself. She essentially used Gendry for sex then abandoned him to travel the world something the true Arya Stark would never do.

I could have accepted Arya never becoming a Lady. That would still be true to her character. However, her completely abandoning her home and people she loves despite doing everything in her power to return to them? No way. That’s not the Arya Stark I grew up with.

Hopefully if the books ever get finished they will do justice to the amazing character that was Arya Stark and not sacrifice her development in order to make Sansa feel more important. Because she’s worth more than that.
