i threw away a small christmas ornament with my deadname on it that my mum bought for me a year ago, and am feeling guilty about it

like, on one hand, that's not my name, and there's no point keeping it

but on the other, i feel bad throwing away gifts

my desk is finally clear!! yay!! that felt really satisfying, and i'm glad i took the initiative to clear it :D

i've been getting used to throwing things away, since i started clearing my desk, and it makes so much sense when the not-needing of things is expressed as a statement like "what good is a mouse that doesn't work?" or "do i have a need for these used gift cards?"

some say the state of one's room is a representation of one's mental state, and honestly, clearing it out has made me feel better
