“We all carry within us different versions of ourselves. Our true, greatest, most honest versions of ourselves can either be developed and nourished, or it can remain dead from neglect. Most people opt for the easiest version rather than the best. But in the end which version lives, which version thrives and which version dies, depends on the choices we make and the people in our lives.”

Psychic kiddos
Ok, time to explain the Earthbound AU. Basically I looked at the plot of Earthbound and went “Ok but what if the journalists were the chosen four?” and WHOOPS I’ve been obsessed with it ever since.
Here’s the psychics of the group displaying their abilities.
I’ll probably make another post going into better detail what they can do and what roles they play in the party, but for now you get this art.

Hiatus Announcement
[ Hello, everyone! I hope your summer has been fun and restful so far.
I've mentioned off and on this past year about getting married/planning a wedding, and that is finally happening in the next several weeks. My future husband and I are going to move in together, get married, go on our honeymoon, etc., and I want to make sure that I am putting in the time to all of that without worrying about tumblr.
So, starting at least by June 5, I will be on an extended hiatus.
I honestly have no idea when I'll return, but it would honestly, in my mind, not be for at least several months, if not permanently. If this is goodbye, and it's a hobby I end up not picking up again, I've thoroughly enjoyed writing, plotting, and talking with all of you. I've made some amazing friends here and I love you all! ]

He liked Larry, he really did, but that doesn't mean that he can't give him a little shit now and again. Phoenix smiles at the comment - and the fact that Edgeworth was actually willing to tag along.
"I guess we could take him somewhere we couldn't get a drink. If anything, maybe we just give him grape juice out of a glass bottle and tell him it's wine.
Tumblr media
...Or do the lawyer thing and not necessarily lie, but let him make his own guess that it's wine. And voila. Sober Larry."
( It may not make him any less weepy, though... )

An annoyed sighed escaped Edgeworth's lips as he pinched the bridge of his nose hearing the news. "Honestly... I've had shoes that have lasted longer than his relationships with women..."
"Fine. I'll come along if you really need me to. I don't think having a guy's night is a good idea though. Knowing him, he'll probably just drown himself in beer." He said.

Here is the World War I Flying Ace making his way across the desolate French countryside...
Snoopy has been spending the majority of his morning crawling around the meadow, wearing his goggles and scarf, pretending to have braved No Man's Land. However, the sight and scent of the little girl approaching him causes him to look up.
Aha! Une petite fille, a small girl raised in a quaint French village, picking flowers to sell, looking for some semblance of comfort from a pilot of the Allies!
Tumblr media
With a triumphant look, the dog sits up enough so that Ari could effectively pet him, tail beginning to wag. Though his imagination was as always getting the better of him, it was pretty clear by the beagle's demeanor that he did indeed want pets.
🌼🐌 @gingermuses / snoopy ! liked for something small ! // ( tiny starter call // no longer accepting ! )
" NNN … NICE DOGGY, PLEASE … VE … VERY NICE DOGGY, "
Tumblr media
Ari spoke gently as she extended a little hand, reaching for the dog's head. Her movements were both SLOW and CAREFUL, as to not startle the soon - to - be furry friend.
" m — mr. Doggy wants pets, please … ? "

The kid is on the mark about something, and that it's that Alice is observant. As the detective retorts that her age has nothing to do with it, the doctor can't help but notice that twitch in her eye. It hadn't come up before, Alice would have noticed, and she has a gut feeling it won't show up again unless provoked. Not any kind of tic, then, but something she most likely does when - in the medical field they call it - pissed off.
Seems like age might be a pressure point. Alice'll take that into consideration.
Her own train of thought is derailed when the idea that, years ago, she had brought up an idea to fantastical and ridiculous that no one would believe her, and, in a similar tell, her knuckles turn white as she tightens her grip on the neck of the green glass bottle.
Her teeth are grit together, and her sharp gray eyes meet the detective's, pointed anger obvious even with her inebriated state, before averting her gaze and staring at the floor.
"I know damn well what I heard." She mutters bitterly. "That bastard must have done something to Elliot. Kidnapped him and took 'im to the studio. Hijacked the station. Something. It was him, and I don't care what anyone else says."
Alice had read enough about the brain in her years of medical study to know the signs of when it was breaking down. The police and most of the people in this damn town were quick to try and spot them in her.
She’d write ‘alcoholic’ in response to that, but a mature detective wouldn’t do such a thing, so that tidbit is stored into her head, where she may write down later in private. So far, the woman is reasonable and Naoto would like to keep it that way. Neutrality is maintained until a certain comment—with it comes the snickering from a static-layered voice in the back of her head—and in response, Naoto’s eye twitches.
“I assure you, age does not dictate everything.” (Intelligent children are only cute until a certain age. Once past that, they’re nothing more than a nuisance.)
Naoto flips to the next page, one that contains a hypothesis about the role Mrs. Emdy had to play in that distant case.
“The reason I’ve come into your house to talk about your deceased husband is different from that line of reasoning. You are not the culprit behind that case, however, what about it caused you to shut yourself away in this dusty clinic?”
Well, other than her husband’s death turning her into a shut-in.
“You seem to be the observant type. You might have thought that the circumstances behind his death matched up with the rumor of a radio channel that only appeared on a rainy midnight. Perhaps you told the police about your thoughts, perhaps other townspeople. However, if you did, nobody believed you, for it was too fantastical to even comprehend."
She pauses. “I could be off the mark, however. I just don’t believe a few derogatory remarks about your appearance would cause you to shut yourself inside.”

Siblings always tend to have a higher sense of awareness when another is upset. This is due in part to the fact that we happen to know our siblings better than most people, as we most often spend much of our lives with them, whether we'd like to or not. This was the case with Violet, but due to Klaus' choleric - a word which here means "cranky" - temperament, it was usually not hard to tell when the middle Baudelaire was upset, especially with Violet.
The eldest Baudelaire youngster had spent her evening off from her tiring work at the Lucky Smells Lumbermill picking bits of bark and splintered wood from her long black hair, too exhausted to even start up the inventing gears in her head. She does, however, stop what she's doing and turn her attention towards her brother.
"I'd wager it was equally as egregious." she said. "I can't help but wonder, though. Are you sure your temper isn't at least a little because there's only three books in this entire building?"
@gingermuses liked for a starter !
“Can you believe he called me boring? First of all, I am not boring. Second of all, my encyclopedic knowledge of vocabulary is endearing.” Klaus’ cheeks are puffed out in fury as he recounts the story of a conversation he had earlier as a friend. His arms are crossed and his brows are knit in a terrible scowl.
“Charles is probably just mad I knew what egregious meant and he didn’t. It means very bad, by the way.” He huffs as he hefts himself into a chair propping up his head on his hand. “How’s your day been? Mine’s been…egregious.”
