I've completed modeling and texturing the teeth, gums and tongue model. Teeth are sculptured in ZBrush, retopology is made in Blender 2.8 (Mesh on last pictures), textures in Mari. I think that such a basic model of the mouth can be adjust to a variety of characters without difficulties.

I studied and used a couple of additional programs: Marvelous Designer and Substance Painter. With the help of a Marvelous Designer you can create clothing cutouts and then dress a figure. Substance Painter is a convenient program to overlay textures on 3D models. Some kind of Photoshop like program for 3D. I didn't do my hair with particals this time, but with hair card. I've created a few cards, each of which was applied different textures of hair. And then I formed a hairstyle with them. The main work was made in the Blender. Going to explore the ZBrush program, it has more opportunities to create sculptures.

Смотрю сериал Сорвиголова. Продолжаю изучать анатомию и решила слепить скульптуру похожую на персонажа из сериала Карен Пейдж. Возможно, потом сделаю полную работу с ней.
I’m watching Daredevil and I’m continuing to learn anatomy. So I’ve decided to sculpture serial character Karen Page. Maybe, I’ll do full artwork with her.

You know what I've learned from watching this TLOK? Relationship-wise? Is that you're gonna stumble into people that are attractive. You're gonna think, "damn that person looks good." Whether he/she is some kind of athlete or artist, it feels like love at first sight. But you have to realize that life doesn't always work out that way. There is no love at first sight. In some cases you just have to get to know each other first. Maybe you date them and things are great but then you start fighting.
The fights go on for six months, and you start to get tired of it and realize that the both of you are better off alone. Even though you care about each other, you just can’t get over any hurdles together, even when you both try. You’ll always care about each other but in the best situations, it’s better to let that person go in a mature way. Maybe you end up learning what not to do in a relationship or just taking it easy for awhile, but falling slowly in love with someone else is possible.
OR alternatively, you meet someone and while you think they’re elegant and beautiful, they’re also hanging onto the arm of your crush and you assume you have nothing in common - that they’re kind of prissy, so you don’t want anything to do with them. But then you get to know them and realize you have more fun together than you thought you could and they are actually really cool and kind, and you go so well together, they’re so easy to talk to, you fall for them so slowly and subtly you don’t even know when it happened, but it did. You fell for the person you’d NEVER see yourself with.

I see people upset about this still, but I honestly am not at all bothered by Amon being a waterbender. I like that a lot, actually. I’m not sure if I like the ‘flashback’-reveal in itself, because I don’t like using backstories as a plot-twist - psychology is something you develop and explore, not something you surprise! dump people with, in my view. Also maybe I don’t like that Korra didn’t use the understanding of Amon’s character to anything, outside knowing he was a bender - it gave her nothing.
The reason I like it is that it truly and completely made Amon someone unsympathetic. It made him not just an enemy to the system as a terrorist, but also an enemy of the oppressed group he was representing. He was a fraud, working against the established system in grotesque ways, but also exploiting the group of people he was claiming to represent
I like that a lot. Because it’s AWFUL.
Now what bothers me, and this is in my opinion a phenomenally egregious flaw in the narrative and what it was trying to explore, that goes far beyond just ‘poor development’, is the fact that KORRA - and no one else - cares to ask a non-bender what they actually feel or how they view the conflict. The closest we come is feeling pity for specifically benders who lost their bending… which does nothing to illuminate the political conflict, only Korra’s fear. And that is presented as ‘okay’ (if it was actually presented as a flaw, it would be a completely different matter).
No one tries to understand. How can you resolve conflict between people if you do not understand them?
And this is also why the love triangle truly bothers me, despite thinking it’s actually kind of fun in retrospect given the resolution, because it is used as Korra’s main relation to the diversity of Republic City. Sure it did add something to Korra’s social development (and the other character’s social development), but it did nothing to inform the actual established main conflict. Much more interesting set-up could have done that, too. Easily.
It is in my view a hugely disappointing rejection of potential. Because the potential was right there in the text it self - Korra was surrounded by:
Tenzin and his kids only remaining airbenders after a genocide, who had specific expectations and identity almost imposed on them for their bending abilities alone.
Pema, ‘ordinary mom’ and non-bender, who specifically wanted a non-bender kid! Why? She must have felt left-out? As an Air Acolyte what was her motivation to join a culture devoted to a nation destroyed by genocide, where only a small handful of members actually had bending. Anything, something? What an utter waste of potential here!
Mako and Bolin, who are benders, grew up as poor orphans on the streets and uses their bending to survive in society after their parents were murdered by another bender. They are really interesting, because they are clearly not particularly ‘privileged’ individuals, but they still benefit from their ability to bend! Nuance in this conflict! Furthermore they are brothers but bend different elements, which is interesting for what it means for their self-identification and how others view of them.
Asami, who is a non-bender, but also extremely rich. The perfect foil to the brothers. Her mother was murdered by a bender, her father was expecting her to become a terrorist alongside him. Hiroshi’s thoughts would have been a lot more interesting if they were reflected by Asami, beyond a stance of ‘no thanks to terrorism dad’, in some way, in ANY way.
Imagine if the interactions between these characters, more or less uselessly spend on soapy love triangle foolery, was spend on developing Korra’s political understanding. On the actual storyline. And her surrounding cast in depth as the society they lived in reflected them.
It’s so frustrating exactly because WITHIN THE RANGE OF CHARACTERS THEMSELVES there was so much potential to explore this further. Almost just having the characters interact should have deepened this, but it’s like the narrative goes out of it’s way to focus on much less interesting drama.
The fact that Amon is a bender redeems this only from the view that Korra shouldn’t actually be required to listen to his opinion; he was not an angered oppressed individual that an objective balance-keeper should care about, but a fraud, an enemy to everyone. Like screw Amon. It’s still extremely flawed writing, in my opinion, because it still stands that no one actually listens to the non-benders. Or even really the benders! No one has actual opinions in this conflict outside “Down with the Equalists! I don’t wanna loose my bending.”
The Equalist plotline was not used to explore proper political scrutiny. Despite trying to be more ‘nuanced’ than the Fire Nation very clearly being the evilz enemy, it actually explored the villain’s POV much less than ATLA did.
And that’d be okay, if not for the fact that this was a plotline specifically demonstrating a 'gray-zone conflict’ with very real, nuanced social and political disparity.

Hey guys, so I went ahead and made a copy of my Avatar survey for tumblr. Fair warning though: it’s pretty comprehensive and long by normal standards (granted, it’s not the longest I’ve completed or written).
The survey covers everything from demographics, to shipping, to favorite characters. And, if you want to take a look at the survey results, you can view them here.
Also, please reblog this post so I can get lots of responses.
Thanks, and enjoy!
