Her Real Face

"Hey...what do I look like to you?"

There goes the dreaded question Sohin had asked a million times before.

She's nervous and trembling as she waited for his response.

"Ginger hair, green eyes, pale skin with a lip piercing." Her date says without skipping a beat.

Sohin feels a pang of hurt and a big of disappointment. That was far from the truth. She did not look like that at all. Of course, why would this person be any different?

For all she could remember, people always described her as beautiful. The woman of their dreams.

They had all described her in different ways. But one description stayed the same, they all described her as a goddess like person that fit all their standards. Beauty standards.

Sohin's physical appearance seemed to changed depending on what the person looking at her loves. If the person loved blue eyes, they see her as someone with blue eyes and so on.

It hurt Sohin.

But what hurt more was the fact that nobody ever saw her for what she truly was.

Nobody, in her whole life, ever saw her real face.

It stung.

But then, on one faithful encounter.

"Hey, Gio?"

"Hm?"

"What do I look like to you?"

And she turned to Sohin, flashing an ever so radiant smile. So innocent and sweet.

And Sohin wanted to cry.

With her honey like voice, she had described Sohin perfectly.

She described Sohin's real appearance.

She saw Sohin for who she really was.

Sohin didn't even realize the tears that had started to cascade down her cheeks as a warm smile spread across her features.

At long last...

Someone had found her beautiful.

Bucciarati Stairs

"Hey, my darling."

And one's eyes had widened, swiftly turning her head at the direction of the voice, Sohin was greeted by a pleasant sight that made an earsplitting smile spread across her face.

It was as if an angel, a bright light, was looking down at her from the Bucciarati Stairs.

Her beloved's bright and adorable teary-eyed smile was truly a sight to see in person.

"Giovanna...." And Sohin couldn't help the small droplets of tears gathering in the corner of her eyes.

"I can finally tell my friends I've had the privilege of meeting an angel in person. That angel being my beloved." Sohin laughed as the two pulled each other in a tight embrace.

"Oh, hush, you~" Gio giggled.

"alsooo..." Gio started, pulling back from the embrace.

"Wasn't there a promise we would do a lil' smooch here?" Gio teased.

Obviously, she didn't seem to expect the small peck Sohin gave her on her cheek as she froze.

"SOHIN, I–"

"I'm a woman of my words~"
