i feel like the only reason Bobby doesn't know about the girls being Demon hunters is because he doesn't ask questions, his main focus is making sure they're taken care of

they're acting cranky or just in general sore because of a fight or whatever and he doesn't ask, just brings them up like a whole period basket of candy and a heating pad and ibuprofen and like

He's a lil confused but he got the spirit (the girls don't stop him because that stuff does help)

Rumi tells him she needs all of her outfits to have her arms and neck and upper chest covered? Done. Maybe she has some sort of scarring, maybe she's just self conscious, maybe it's any sort of other things that isn't his place to pry about

His forever first and foremost concern is that his girls are safe and comfortable and well taken care of, and I think that's beautiful and he is perfect

another thing that KPDH gets right is that they have a chubby male character who is not the butt of fatphobic jokes.

in any other movie, a character like Bobby would be the comic relief — the bumbling, incompetent fat character who probably eats too much and is constantly made fun of.

but the writers of this movie treat him like any other character. he's funny but he's not pushed into the role of comic relief. in fact, all of the characters in this movie have their own funny moments, there is no comic relief.

he is also competent enough as the manager of Huntrix. of course he doesn't know that they're demon hunters, but he handles everything else well, even defending Rumi from the fans when she was having issues with her voice.

there are no comments made about his body and no mean-spirited jokes made at his expense. in fact, the girls are very fond of him and look up to him, to the point where Zoey and Mira ditch their show to save him when they thought he was being attacked by demons.

Bobby also has a traditionally feminine side without, again, being made fun of or infantilized for it. he wears pink face masks and dressing gowns, he matches outfits with his girl group, he dances to trendy boy band songs, but none of it is exaggerated or played for laughs. and he's not given the Gay Best Friend™ treatment either or paraded around like a purse dog.

and while his character isn't too deeply explored, he has his own issues. he cares so deeply about Huntrix and Gwi-Ma is able to convince him that he was the reason they broke up.

a lot of movies don't know when to tone down the comedic characters and has them being goofy and annoying during a serious moment (*cough* the hunchback of notre dame with the fucking gargoyles *cough*) so i'm glad this movie gave Bobby some depth and had him deal with his own insecurities during the third act.

everyone was joking about trump dying today and I think that's really horrible and cruel. PLEASE do not joke about trump dying unless it's true and confirmed!!! I got really excited and then when I found out he was still alive i was really disappointed!! like that's so mean to do to people

i think not enough of us were paying attention in math class when they tried to imprint the idea that knowing the answer isn't good enough, it's also about how you know you have the answer and why. in other words, a vector of critical thinking

whenever i order food i get nervous that the doorbell will annoy my roommates so i turn it off temporarily and tell the delivery person to just knock. but then i get nervous i might not hear the knocking so i go sit by the front door a few minutes early to make sure i hear it. but then i get nervous that if i open the door too quickly the delivery driver will think it's weird that i was waiting there so i wait an additional 10-15 seconds before opening it and feign that i just came down the stairs. i am built normal and socially average.
