Animal Transport Train
The aim was to build a train that could transport endangered animals ( monkey and bush babies ). Each cart needed appropriate conditions so that the animal could survive the journey.
We built the habitat with a tree for the monkey, a burrow for the bush baby. For food we included bugs and eggs.

The Dream House
We had to design and construct a dream house that could produce it's own food, be eco-friendly and clean itself.
We included features such as a barn/animal containment unit, to obtain milk and eggs. There was also a green house attached to the house to produce fruits and vegetables. We looked into the production of meat using stem cells, and incorporated some of our research into the planning of our house.
In order to make our house eco friendly, we built our house's roof to include solar panels for green power - although we included a backup generator, just in case. We also added a rain water collection unit and well, with a water filtration and purification system.

The Most Challenging
The most challenging activity we did this week was processing. Processing allows us to use code to create visual effects. It was difficult because at first, the program we used to create our process images was only compatible with Mac computers so some computers weren't working. We also had to create an image of a robot using the program, which was also really difficult.

Our Favourite Acitvity
Our favourite activity was building a transportation device. We were given the task of designing and constructing a transportation device that would allow doctors and emergency care professionals to respond to high risk situations faster. The device was designed to look like an Apple iPhone, except with the advanced teleportation function.

Robogals!
We had a great time working with the people from Robogals today! We learned so much about engineering and all the different branches which you can go into!
Exploring with robotics was a lot of fun and a great learning experience because we were able to work with lego pieces as well as robots!!
Sadly we didn't get to complete our robotic machine due to the lack of time, but definitely got our minds thinking and provoked a lot of interest in robotics! It was so much fun!!
Love,
Kyla, Amna and Ryan :)
