Will had no idea what had been going on out there. He looked up and noticed Finn. He tried to hide the fact he had been crying.

Finn sat down in the chair beside Will’s bed, he looked at the man in concern, “I’m real sorry about Rachel, I think she’s acting a little selfish right now.”

Finn looked at Rachel when she said this. He could have easily got up and left but he didn’t. “For you and Will.” He said. “Actually, I am going to see how he is as he is in there by himself.” He said and went in. Will hadn’t noticed Finn walk in. He lay there, in tears.

“Fine, you did save his life from being at the school with a bunch of kids who don’t know how to handle situations like that,” she ran a hand over her face and watched Finn walk into the room with Will. She rested her hands on her stomach and cried there alone.

Will heard what she had said when she was outside the room. He went to put his hand to his face but realized he couldn’t do anything with it. He used his other hand and ran it over his face. He broke down in tears. Finn looked at Rachel as she held on to him. “Okay. I don’t know whats going on here but I think its Will that you need to be with right now, not me.”

“I-I didn’t realize it was a crime to come to a friend for hugs and to cry on when their fiancee is an idiot...” she told him, unsure why he wasn’t wanting to be near her.  Rachel sat on in one of the chairs after pushing herself away from Finn. Putting on her Rachel Berry pouting face on.

Will still thought it was his fault. He heard her say that she needed some air. In his head, he was worried. He had tears in his eyes. 

Rachel left the room and once she did she glared at her father, “You might as well comfort your new friend daddy, I can’t even look at you or him right now,” she said before walking over to Finn and hugging him, crying against his chest.

“It wouldn’t have happened…if I had been there.“ Will told her. He did feel guilty. He nodded when she said about her dad being with him. When he heard her ask him what her dad was doing, he sighed. “The same as me.“

“that was not your fault, I told you I wanted to go to New York and you wanted to stay teaching and we made an arrangement that worked. I’m the idiot who went out so late,” she sighed, shaking her head. “I need some air, you-you can’t just play hero when you know the guy is dangerous, you’re not a super hero!”

Will noticed she let go of his hand. He lay there. “No one hurts you and gets away with it.” He told her. He wasn’t sure if it came out like that but it was the best he could do right now.

“You don’t have to friggin play hero Will! I am not some damsel in distress that needs to be saved,” she ran a hand through her hair in frustration. “I can’t believe you right now. My dad went with you didn’t he? What the hell was he doing when all of this went down?”

Will listened to her. Did he tell her or did he just make something up? He couldn’t lie any more. “Brody.” He said. Thats all he said. He was getting annoyed that his speech was still like this.

She dropped his hand, and stood up quickly, “Brody. You went to go pay Brody a visit didn’t you?” she asked shaking her head, “He could have killed me, he didn’t but he could have and you went after him, are you insane?!” she huffed plopping down in the chair.

Will stared at her. Was she really having a go at him right now? He heard her mention the head injury and falling. That was when he realized it was from the fight with Brody. 

“While the doctor was talking to me about how your injury happened my dad has this look on his face like he was more than worried, like he knew what was really going on.”

Will felt the kiss on his lips. He heard her and sipped some water before answering her. “I felt unwell.” He said, his speech still a little slurred.

“Unwell, that’s all you can say, unwell is when you have a headache or been throwing up. You had a head injury and I know it wasn’t from falling earlier today.”

Will hadn’t meant to scare her. A nurse came in and noticed he was awake. She took the tube from his mouth before leaving the room. Will kept his eyes on Rachel.

The moment the nurse left Rachel leaned over pressing a soft kiss to his lips, “What happened?” she asked, giving him the glass of water.

Will kept his eyes on her. He squeezed her hand a little. He was glad to hear that she was okay and that the baby was okay as well.

“Don’t you dare scare me like that ever again,” she knew he couldn’t talk with the tube in his mouth.
