Watching the Spanish dub of The Lost Heir Job made me realize I think we HAVE seen Parker's brother. This little boy at the party looks a bit like Parker, seems to be a bit younger, and he's clinging onto her arm during this scene.

omg you guys, the dude that can't talk in "the 12 step job" can talk in the spanish dub.
it's so weird because everyone still reacts to what he's "saying", but because we viewers can understand him, the "joke" falls flat. everyone ends up looking confused for no reason. they’re acting more like mean girls than confused people who can’t understand a guy.
THEY ALSO MISPRONOUCED "OAXACA"
HOW DOES THE ORIGINAL PRONOUNCE IT CORRECTLY BUT THE DUB IN SPANISH MISPRONOUNCES IT????

Hat Bracket Round 3, Match 1: Frog Bucket Hat v. "How's Your Southern Belle?"
Frog Bucket Hat Episode: R2x05 The Walk in the Woods Job Character: Breanna, as Kimberly Michaels (Tulane Grad Student) Propaganda: look at her <3 Submitted By: @Magsintherain
"How's Your Southern Belle?" Episode: 1x06 The Two Horse Job Character: Sophie, as Catherine Beth Lovery, “Kitty” Propaganda: Southern belle at the races hat? Come on, it’s both classic AND gaudy. Editor's Note: Yeah that’s two different hats. But it's about the CHARACTER the hat embodies. You understand. Sophie would want it this way.

His and Hers Yuppies Episode: 2x04 The Fairy Godparents Job Characters: Hardison and Parker, as Binky & Partner, and ALSO as Special Agents Hagen and Thomas Propaganda: Aren’t they adorable? And insufferable? It’s a good combo.

Hat Bracket Round 3, Match 3: Coquettish Little Fascinator v. The "Yes Chef"
Coquettish Little Fascinator Episode: 4x02 The 10 Li’l Grifters Job Character: Sophie as Yma Sumac as Irene Adler Propaganda: For all that Nate is our hat man, this is the first hat I thought of. It's fabulous and fun and perfectly appropriate to the setting.
The “Yes Chef” Character: Chef Eliot Episode: 5x04 1x03 The Wedding Job, The French Connection Job Propaganda: Okay so these are bandanas and -------- CORRECTION. I have learned a thing! They are Japanese multi-purpose cloths called tenegui and they're used for like, EVERYTHING but the salient thing is that they're worn like this both as part of a chef uniform and also in Kendo. And I think it's very in-character that Eliot who wants a katana for Christmas picked this as his go-to chef vibe, and it's very consistent, I pulled one from season one and one from season five.

Hat Bracket Round 3, Match 4: The Snowball v. The Indy
The Snowball Episode: 1x04 The Snow Job Character: Sophie as luge bronze medalist Lena Christinger Propaganda: That is…. sure a lot of hat.
The Indy Episode: 4x08 The Boiler Room Job Character: Eliot, as the Edgy Safari Guy Propaganda: I just love when Eliot's on a sidequest that's a completely different genre from the rest of the episode. Definitely feels like this hat/character are helping him live out a weirdly specific childhood dream

Thinking about how Hardison makes a couple offhand transmisogynist comments in the early seasons. And then thinking about the Cross My Heart Job when he’s initially offended that he got a woman’s ID, but when Eliot tells him to “man up” about it he goes in and flawlessly pulls his favorite kind of grift, leaning into the security guy’s discomfort about encountering a trans man and not wanting to look prejudiced. And headcanoning that this was a turning point for him because a) he saw how the guard’s discomfort reflected his own prejudice and b) playing a character who transitioned to his own gender made it easier for him to understand why someone would want to transition.

I would do unspeakable things for Annie Kroy
We did just post yesterday, but it's Gina Bellman's birthday today! Do y'all have a favorite (or top three, or top five, there are no rules here) character Sophie took on as part of a grift?

With a character like Sophie, who is so inherently charismatic and sexy (which is like 90% of her job), it was such a Choice to introduce her with her terrible stage acting fr. Truly unmatched.
Parker is first on screen hanging upside down and then shouting with unfettered glee as she launches herself off a building (ahead of the count). Let alone the little flashback of her as a child blowing up her childhood home and running off with her thieved Bunny.
It's something I love about the Leverage pilot is that like. Yeah, Parker and Sophie are hot but they're also Freaks and you HAVE to be down for them as Freaks to get on this train. They're not just hot hypercompetent genre cliches, they're unhinged messes in their own ways. Just. Women.
