Latley..
Ive been seeing A LOT of people complaining about the term “freshcut”. From what Ive seen these people certainly dont look like skins or even like they should be talking shit, But I figured Id take it on myself to give out an education. So listen up kids, schools in session.
The term is not always derogatory or even mean, it just plainly means you are new to being a skin. When your new obviously you have a lot of questions ext. and they are the same old questions us older people have been answering for years, and lets be honest, they are annoying questions mostly. You get somewhat of a free pass because you are a freshcut. like “hey he’s new, he doesnt know any better hes a freshcut”.
However, when you are new and acting like a know it all “skinhead superstar” or just being an idiot its used and meant to be derogatory. Especially when your talking shit to people that have been skins for years (in person fists tend to fly at this juncture). Here on the wide world of the skinternet shit gets talked or the like.
Really I cant wrap my head around why people who aren’t even skins care what terms we use for new people in America. Our English cousins may not have a term for em but trust me when I say the new guys still annoy them and they get shit for it. Its all part of being a skin, if you can take abuse from your friends you can take it from anyone. Being a skin is far from an easy life, and you need to be hard enough to handle that.
Lastly I would like to say that on the very rare occasion when a kid nowadays has all the right stuff the term can instill a sense of pride. Like hey that kid belongs, he’s our freshcut. He might not know everything and he may fuck up from time to time but he’s ours, and someday he will be my brother. And that’s the real truth of it. He’s proud to be your little brother and your proud to be his Older one.
You cant become a Skinhead overnight. That’s what all you fuckheads on the internet need to understand. You can call yourself whatever you like, but you have to earn the title of Skinhead.
