I’ll get into my initial thoughts in a bit but quick rundown of the things that got confirmed about the characters in episode 5:

- Pomni was an accountant for a supermarket chain (not C&A like I and others originally predicted), and she liked urban spelunking and making videos about it (which surprised me for some reason but also it’s fun learning more about her life outside the circus)

- Zooble worked as both a bartender and tattoo artist and also liked urban spelunking

- Gangle went to community college for graphic design but ended up working in fast food

- Ragatha grew up in a wealthy family who owned farmland, worked in real estate, and had a horrible mother who appears to be the source of her attachment issues and people pleasing tendencies (I KNEW IT I JUST KNEW HER ISSUES STEMMED FROM AN OUTSIDE SOURCE)

- Jax remains an enigma (the way I gasped when I thought for two seconds he actually had cancer before it became a Breaking Bad reference)

Love the theme of Pomni being sick of getting infantilized by the people in the circus as a grown woman for the meta reason that the fandom loves to do the exact same thing.
