a/n: this season of narcos left me fascinated with side characters and a lot of my fascination landed on the arellano-felix family and the dynamics they all have so here’s some writing. ( ( btw chiquis… short for chiquita… little one yee ) ). also someone stop me from doing an would include for each brother 

“benjamin, please, how are you going to tell me i can’t go” you challenge, sure to keep yourself still as you finished off your makeup.

 “easily, like this. chiquis, you’re not going and we’re not having this discussion” your older brother blurts out in frustration from his position with cossed arms, leaning against your door frame. rolling your eyes, you turn to look at him with a pout already forming on your lips, “he’s my cousin too, ‘min” you murmur in response to his disgruntled expression. 

“look if this was some family shit, of course i’d take you but this is about business. i can’t be babysitting you, this is important” benjamin responds back, stoic expression still plastered on his face even as you laugh at his response. “oh but you have time to babysit ramon’s drunk ass” you respond without missing a beat and before he can give you another stern response, your older sister slips into the room past benajmin. “look at you, chiquis” enedina nearly cooed, turning you to get a look at your dress before pressing a kiss on your forehead. 

“you’re not going” benjamin stated again, intending this to be the final word on the subject but as always enedina was quick to resist his reasoning. “benjamin, come on, you know she’s miguel’s favorite. he’ll be more likely to consider what you’re telling him with her roaming around, plus she deserves to get out and have a little fun” your older sister responds with a smile in your direction as she wraps an arm around you. 

“oh great, is that your plan? get everyone against me” benjamin scoffs, rolling his eyes before he’s cut off.

“don’t be like that” enedina interrupts again “just take her” the woman insisted seeing the effect she was having on benjamin as he tensed his jaw even further. “fine, fine” benjamin gives in, throwing his hands up in defeat with an exasperated tone. “but for the love of god, behave yourself” benjamin is quick to remind before he’s turning to walk away “be in the car in half an hour.” clapping your hands together in excitement, enedina gives you a wink as she follows benjamin out and leaves you rushing to finish getting ready.

“you look like you’re ready to ruin  someone’s life” ramon teases with a jacket slung over his shoulder, nodding his head in the direction of the stairs as he waits for you to follow. “you never know, you don’t know what i’m capable”  you retort, getting your bag and joining him by the stairs. 

“so much for behaving yourself”

“fuck off, ‘mon. you’re one to talk ”

getting a call after the shooting at the christine would include...

a/n:ah um i hope this is obvious but this is an arellano brothers imagine bullshit so buckle up

so lets get this straight this shooting, this event SHOOK the arellanos to the fucking core

it fucks up their whole sense of security and grip on it in general so as soon as ramon and

and i def want to write a whole you being at the actual event but for this one i wanted the tense vibes after the shooting

because imagine all the fucking calls mon and min are making after this shit

benjamin

okaY so for this one, the relationship i am imagining is like either a marriage or a very serious and committed relationship because those are always the vibes that benjamin serves

min serves committed, faithful daddy vibes

and this is a call benjamin has prepared you for but you hoped and in reality had convinced yourself would never happen

you and min had become wrapped up in the sense of security that owning tijuana gave you

so when min calls you in the middle of the night, your brain is shielding you from reality

but as soon as you hear min's voice you know this is the fucking real deal and your brain goes from groggy to alert immediately

benjamin's voice is soft, slow probably to mask the shakiness in his voice and gives you very clear instructions leaving out as much detail as he can

he's lost his ability to physically protect you or at least he did in his mind so this is the last thing he can hold on to

"amor, something happened at the club tonight. i'm fine, you will be fine but i need you to start the plan. just like we practiced. i wanted you to hear this from me, not dina. you can do this. i love you more than anything. i will see you soon"

and he doesn't give you any time to ask anything, you're left staring with glossy eyes for a couple of seconds

but you snap out of it, because you knew what this life was about, what it brought and what you had prepared for

and you almost go into like an automatic state, not needing to think about it your body just moved you

you fly off the bed and open the door and almost immediately lock eyes with dina who is also rushing out of the room.

everything that needed to be said was said in the look you gave each other before dina starts to deligate

"you get the bags, and the girls. i need to get mom and the men ready" dina directs to no one really because you're already moving

back in the room, you put on your outfit, pick up the emergency bags, throw them at the nearest man and run down to the rooms

i just you and dina working together as this fucking boss ass bitch duo organizing everyone; getting everyone ready to leave

you don't even know how much time has passed but it feels like you just got everyone up and min's already pulling up in the car

you don't even notice when he pulls up, your brain is still in this fuge like gotta fucking go state

and i am just imagining is that when you both kind of let down the barrier of like this calm and collected exterior

min nearly steps out of his moving car and is yelling at the first man he sees like "donde esta, shingados donde esta"

you: not even hearing him because your brain is in emergency mode

and he's running around, in this little like choas of getting everyone inside the cars

but he probably sees you first, and you probably see him but don't process until he's in front of you and putting his hand against your cheeck and taking the biggest fucking breath

and you're just staring at him for a moment until you're like blinking away tears

and benjamin immediatly brings you into his chest, and burries his head in your hair as you just kind of quietly sob and he gives you besitos and whispers how proud he is of you, how he wouldnt be able to do this without you, thank you over and over again for holding everything together

but this isn't long lived, because the men are pushing the both of you into a suv

:((( min picking you up like where you wrap your legs around him and he carries you into the car

in the car, rocking you gently and rubbing your back as he calms down

whispering plans to dina because he doesn't want to put more onto you; you already had to carry a burden he never wanted to place on you

i am crying at him making the decision to send you somewhere else because he knows you shouldn't be in tj right now

eventhough he needs to save face, he's going to take every measure to make sure that absolutely none of this blow b ack touches you

and it literally nearly breaks him to have to tell you and leave you

and and you putting on a brave face for him

benjamin stuttering and struggling to get his words out because the last thing he wants is to be away from you right now

and you giving him this little smile and now you get to hold his face and being like "i can do this. i'm going to be brave, mm. ahora te toca ser el valiente" aH

lol just kidding lets get into this

so i very much imagine this being a like, becoming part of the family moment

you've been dating ramon for a while but you've kind of been afraid to ask about like how serious he is about this you know

like if he's actually thinking about this being long term, if he saw a future with you

and he's secretly afraid too, afraid that you are going to push him away when you see the reality of his life

afraid of you not reciprocating the feelings that are like overtaking him :( :( :(

anyways when the shooting happens, the first thing he is thinking about is you he's like fucking shaking with rage but he's also dealing with this pit in his stomach feeling of like... how does he tell you, how does he protect you most importantly

and honestly, mon is in panic mode, his brain literally cannot work because a million thoughts are ranging like i just see him being like this in an emergency

so of course, dina comes to the rescue and that post shooting calls comes from her

im imagining you were invited to benjamin's birthday but are staying somewhere else because idk staying with his family is still something that makes you nervous and if mon wasn't going to be there the whole time maybe not

so you getting woken up in this fancy hotel room or really i can imagine you still being awake and kind of being startled by the phone call

you can barely get out a confused hello and dina is already talking your ear off

"mija, something happened. i can explain more later but the men are going to be there in 15 minutes to pick you up. pack whatever you can and don't open the door until _________ gets there." (says name because she know she can't just say someone you recognize)

and you're literally like trying to understand and you're like "i - wha" and dina is like "this is what we need to do to keep us all safe, to keep our family safe. ramon will meet you at the location. please, trust me as your cuñada"

this probably isn't the best time to fixate on what she just fucking said but here you are like.... cuñada...?????.??? our family ... heart eyes

and dina is like "sta bueno?" and you kind of snap out of like the image you have in your head of mon talking to dina about you and are like "ye-s yes i'll be ready, thank you dina "

hanging up and like haphazardly throwing anything within reach into the suitcase

you nearly jumping out of your fucking skin when you hear the knock at the door; for a moment you kind of struggle afraid to go up and check and it not being who you were expecting.

another loud pounding on the door pushes you to your feet and you quietly make your way over and check the peep hole and your heart is racing

and you look through and see ramon on the other side with this like burning look in his eyes; something bordering on helplessness

when you throw the door open, mostly afraid that he'd break he door down if you didn't, relief washes over mon's face and he immediately brings you in for a kiss

"thank god you're safe, bebe. i was praying for you the whole way here. let's go, leave the bags the men will get them"

and you're still there like "dina said _____ was going to come get me

and mon's like "bebe i couldn't trust someone else to keep you safe tonight"

cut to ramon in the car like yelling at someone over the phone that his car better be fucking ready when he gets back "shingada madre si no tienen el pinshi carro listo para ir a recoger a mi vida les part"

and switch back to like mon being like "it was best for me to be here so you know you're safe, i know the first time is hard"

but you can't spend much time standing there talking; men are moving out of the room with your things, mon brings you against his chest and he's like "nos vamos, just hold on and follow me"

mon in protective mode to the fucking max, you pressed against hs body, hypervigilant, gun ready and barron covering him as he movs to the car

idk why anxious mon in the car shaking his legs as the other's drive, constantly looking out the back window and kissing your hand

mon would stay at like the hide out house ??? with you absolutely

will be by your side 24/7, he has armed security everywhere and he's still constantly packing

won't let you move without following you like a lost puppy

on edge mon telling you how much he loves you and that's why he's doing this

dina calling to check up on the two of you, mostly you because she knows how hard it is

i just sitting in mon's lap and him whispering about how he's more than willing to protect you with his life i

Travel was part of your job, part of your life, and while your husband was not a man to involve you in his own work, this had been an opportunity he could not let pass him by.

You knew this, just as much as you knew that there was just as much blood on the hands of the married man who had become your lover, if not more.

Félix never outright told you to seduce him. You doubt his pride would allow him that. No, this request had been left unsaid, and that was enough to level the responsibility of it entirely on your own shoulders, for better or worse.

At what point had you stopped doing this for him, but for yourself? This affair, that he’d never explicitly asked you to take up in the first place. Perhaps, Félix had never intended this at all, but you doubt a man as calculating as your husband would be so naïve as to deliver you frequently into the hands of this man with the belief that you were there for his business alone.

This truth, the only one you know, is your own. Pressed against Pablo’s lips in private moments, ushered away from the light of day, where your confessions of love fall freely. Reciprocated by a man who slept much better beside you than your husband ever had, despite everything. Hands that could be so cruel, only met your body with gentleness, and in truth, you looked forward to these trips more than you ever should have. These stolen moments with a lover who could never be entirely yours, or you his.

Maybe, this is all you can hope for— all you deserve for your complaisance— but something in the way Pablo reciprocates his I love you’s along your skin sounds more honest than anything Félix has ever told you.

Maybe, you’re just lying to yourself again.
