We probably need four, or five generations to pass before any generation decay shows up.

Luffy has the kinda quality that everyone should strive for. Accepting others no matter what their past was and who they are. His crew is literally filled with weird, crazy and lovable people. There are legit times where he wanted a zombie to join his crew but was only stopped because Zoro and Sanji were against it, but he still got his way and that's how Brook The Skeleton Musician joined his crew. Luffy is a pirate, the only things he cares about is what your dreams are and you fulfilling them, food and beating the shit out of assholes who disrespect his friends and his comrades. He can and will throw hands for this friends just because someone made them cry or hurt them physically/emotionally/spiritually etc.
