"Yes. Someone who's already been taken from me for long enough." She couldn't stop thinking of Jem. Right when he was freed from over a century in limbo, it was Tessa's time to be stolen from their life together. If only he could be here, if he could see Will alive and well... "Half of my heart is out there, alone. And half of my heart is here, sharing a home with me again after a lifetime apart. I'm not sure I could get so far as trying to leave, when this island has the perfect siren's call." She wanted to get to Jem, but walking away from Will was unthinkable. Why couldn't the three of them ever be safe at the same time? "Have you got anyone out there?"
“pointless to risk it. the nearest land might not be for miles and it ain't like this place would let you escape that easy anyhow. doubt you’d be the first to try.” john doesn’t even want to entertain the thought of wading that far out into the water. the ocean seems just fine from the safety of the shore where they stand. no sense in testing it with a hopeless and rather dangerous endeavor. “someone important you’re hopin’ to get back to?” john can’t help but ask. he would understand the other’s desperation in that case.

Katherine could surely get behind that philosophy. She had always loved dancing, in a traditional or modern setting, and half of the fun of it was being seen. "You get it. The whole point of giving a show is to have an audience." She joined the dancing with no effort, delighted by the carefree nature of the other. "We have been doing this for centuries, and it was always supposed to be a spectacle."
@goldennthreads [Tenth Doctor + Katherine Pierce]
"I'm not usually a club kind of person, but you know what, the tunes are popping and I am feeling good." The doctor was dancing a little bit. Granted, he wasn't good at it but he didn't care. "The term is dance like there is no one watching, which is kind of dumb to me. If you are dancing, don't you want people to watch you?"

Molly's first instinct was to say 'No, I don't think I want to tell you what I'm doing at all', but this was not supposed to be a night for trouble. In all honest, they just wanted to make sure that this place was real. That Mollymauk himself was real here. Even if getting into a fight helped them feel present, it wouldn't last for long. "I thought I had seen my friend out here. Don't think he's on this island, though. Probably just wishful thinking." It wasn't even a lie. The tiefling wanted to find all members of his family so desperately he was starting to see signs of them that weren't really there. "Are you looking for any monsters around here?" Coming from Molly, the question was quite literal, but it could be taken as a metaphor for the any unlucky bad guy walking around.
@goldennthreads [Rick + Mollymauk Tealeaf]
"I'm not used to anyone being out here at this hour." Rick admitted with a slight shrug. He was used to it, being a security officer, he would go to different places at night that seemed to be high crime areas and watch them. After his life back in Alexandria and all, there wasn't much that scared Rick. He was fostering teenagers as well and those are some scary creatures too. "Want to tell me what you are doing?"

She almost, almost gave it away, but this was such a fun opportunity. When would she ever get the chance to mess with Damon like this again? Katherine didn't know who she was dealing with, the sweet young man she once betrayed or the devil she later watched from afar, but he did sound more like the latter. "My apologies, Damon Salvatore. This island fucked with my memories, so I don't seem to recognize even the prettiest of my past acquaintances. I'm Katerina, but I'm assuming you know that already. Whoever I was to you before, I'm sorry, or you're welcome." Playing the good, innocent lady role would get her nowhere. If she was lucky, Damon would buy the 'Katherine-has-amnesia-but-is-still-an-evil-bitch' version. And she was dying to see what he would do with that information.
"So, is that a pick-up line or do you not remember me?" Damon asked the other , raising an eyebrow at her. He didn't think he would ever see katherine again, then again he shouldn't be too shocked. the woman seemed to pop up out of anywhere. "damon salvatore, by the way. that's who i am."

Tessa wasn't surprised at Isabelle's answer, though she couldn't help feeling a bit sad. It seemed cruel to make someone forget their loved ones, their lives, their own identity. "Yes, I knew you in the..." She was about to mention the Shadowhunter world, but Tessa wasn't sure how much Izzy knew, and she was shouldn't be the one revealing that whole universe to her. If Alec, Clary and Magnus were around, it was better to let them introduce her to her own past life, at whatever pace they saw fit. "I was a family friend. Not as close as the people you just mentioned, not at all. I'm older than I look, and I've known the Lightwoods for a long time. Not as much your generation, I was more familiar with the ones in London about a hundred years ago." She did always keep an eye on the children of the children of her friends and family, but she didn't get to be part of their lives too much. She hoped that the lack of such a close bond would make this a bit easier for Isabelle. "My name is Tessa Gray, and it is lovely to meet you again."
Izzy stopped short at the others exclamation. A flash of concern, followed by confusion, followed by slight disappointment. "I-- don't know you..." She answered quickly with a bit of shaming painting her words. The more people she met that claimed to know her, the more broken her heart felt. How could she forget so many, especially those who looked at her with such kindness and in often case loving glances. It was like she was a failure to everyone of them. "This Island took my memories... but I'm assuming you are from my life before, like Alec, Clary, and Magnus?"

"From what I can see, you're doing amazing with your social skills, dear. You so very sweet." Such a good target. Katherine could always learn some information from someone that nice, and sometimes even get a dinner. "I've met my fair share of strange people, and this island is full of them. You must be careful out here, we can never know what someone's intentions are." She tried to look as concerned as she could, serious eyes and all. "What was your life like before coming here? Mine was way more erratic, always on the move. Building a home feels good." When trying to gain someone's trust, it was easier to give them as much truth as possible without revealing anything too important.
"It's a bit romantic and a little idealistic.. but I can see sweet as well." Hu Tao many feared death, and viewed that perhaps that tradition came about to ease what some might fear. "Here? like Ivy Cove cause I mean I have my parents. They are semi retired now, but they are doing well. As in this place, yeah? I'm trying to work on my socialization skills. I tend to be considered strange or weird when interacting with most people. I honestly think they are the strange ones."

With her not-so-long attention span, Fearne's focus shifted at the mention of gardening. "Really? I'm really good with plants. My house is half made of plants." To show her point, she waved her right hand and allowed some ivy to grow up her arm, curving around her elbow. "See? They like me."
"I think it's also hard to gauge what one might find an interesting secret." Elain added, "What I might find interesting, you might find boring." She bit the inside of her cheek in thought for a moment at her next question. "I mainly garden and sell bouquets or gift them if I think someone needs a pick me up."

"What touches me the most is the amount of elements that are the same. In times and places so distant from each other, we still care about similar priorities and connect and similar ways." She paid attention to what the other woman described, and one word in particular caught her attention. She had heard of it before, from a close friend in the island. It must be conforting to believe in such a power and feel it's concrete impact. "The force? I assume you are from... Out there, then." It was still a mindblowing concept for Peggy, and yet she worked with that reality every day here. "It must be quite a change of pace, no longer traveling through the stars. Does our world look too small to you, or is it as surprising as other galaxies sound to me?"
"I need to introduce you to a friend of mine. You and him would be kindred spirits." Jaina stated with a half smile, thinking of the mental image of her and Balthazar gushing over some ancient piece of art. "Historically, we can see a glimpse of their soul. It's like a snapshot of what life was like.. It's honestly impressive, you should have seen some of the ruins I got to explore back home. There is something special to seeing what survived time. What the force deemed was needed to be passed down."

Instead of being upset at the correction, Peggy smiled even more. Of course, that made way more sense than what she was going for. Before he could even finish talking, Peggy was already writing down the new observations and revising her previous anotations. "Yes, that fits perfectly. Thank you, it is very likely that you saved me days of trial and error." The meaning felt important, maybe even relevant to their current situations in some unimaginable way.
The detective still had her eyes on the texts as she answered. "That is part of what fascinates me the most. This code, and many equally unique ones, are forgotten in old boxes of the Ivy Cove library's archive. There is no explanation as to why such a small, isolated town has this volume of rare, perhaps dangerous information laying around." It would worry her if she wasn't so excited for the discoveries. "How do you know this one so well anyway? It's not your first time seeing it."
.。.:*☆ "You are aware that you got it wrong, right?" Jack was not sure why he was such a downer. Maybe because he had needed this on top of everything else going wrong in his life. Being trapped on this island.
"Sorry." Letting out a sigh, he pointed at some of the symbols. He had seen them before. In the library of the TARDIS. It seemed like a lifetime ago now. And maybe it was. So it was maybe a little miracle he did remember all of this. Not to mention, Jack had no idea how those symbols found their way into Ivy Cove. it just made no sense.
"This here, it does mean 'water'. And the other.... it is a word we do not know in this language, I fear. Very old. But it means bascially something like 'crossing the borders of the universe'." A pause. "Where did you even find this code?"

"Can you, really? You sound like my kind of person." Ivy Cove had a lot to give, and Fearne was always searching for more partners in crime. There was so much to discover in the island, it would be a waste to not explore it's potential. "We can never have too many juicy secrets. They pile up and make each other better. You know, I'm a colector." The complexity only made things more exciting. "Once in a while, I figure out some connections that the people telling me the secrets haven't even put together yet. I bet that would all come in handy for a Trickster..."
.。.:*☆ "I am sure I can get whatever I want on this island, as well." Gabe arched a single eyebrow as he looked at the young woman. It was hard to tell if she was human, although, the angel could feel that she was more than the eye could tell. And their old self would surely have enjoyed an opporturnity like this. And yes, Gabriel wished it could be like this again. They were just nor sure if that was actually possible...
"Also, most of the secrets I know are juicy. Like, you would expect nothing less from a Trickster, would you?"

"Something or someone really wants to keep us here. Maybe the island itself." Tessa had seen enough to consider that a reasonable possibility. She still hadn't come up with a single safe way to try. Her portals didn't work, there was no mundane transportation elsewhere and she wasn't even sure where this island was located. "What worries me most is, it's working. I've found myself questioning if I actually want to leave. It's not just keeping us from trying to get away, it's bribing us into staying." Or, at least, that is how it felt to get her husband back. Either that or a miracle, jury was still out.
.。.:*☆ "Not too far, I can tell you." And even when Percy knew the reason behind that, it did bug him. Or, maybe it did bug him because he knew. And he still could do nothing against it anyway.
"You start to feel pretty dizzy at some point. Or, I did, at least." he rubbed the back of his neck. "It always made me go back, even when I wanted to push forward. After all, bad things do happen to those who try to break through the boundaries of this city."

The suggestion of someone else's secrets being on the table caught Fearne's attention. "I'm not picky about that. If it's a good secret from a reliable source, it doesn't need to yours at all. I'll know if you're lying, though." She warned, her darkened hand lighting up on fire. She wouldn't know if he was lying, but the guy didn't have to know that. "What would you want for that secret?"
"Really? Is dat so?" Remy made an impressed face. Though he was full of secrets, he was none too keen on revealing his own. "D'you mean any secret? Or is it gotta be one o' mine? 'Cause I'm sorry t' say but mine aren't for sale, chere. But if I can tell you somethin' 'bout, say, de guy who runs de bakery an' get somethin'g for it, den you got a deal."

The universe had a twisted sense of humor. In an island full of people with no memories, fake memories and partial memories, Molly could actually remember his latest two years in Exandria perfectly. Not a thing before that, of course. Just the circus and the Mighty Nein, both families he found. "This whole collective amnesia thing is giving me the most ironic deja vu."

In the time since arriving to Ivy Cove, Molly's knowledge of the world and it's habitants had expanded in the most bizarre ways. He was quite used to magic and strangeness, and yet there were events on this island even he had a hard time understanding. More surprisingly, all of the people had just showed up here from all sorts of places, without any explanation. "Do you have a theory to how this all happened? Omnipotent being playing dolls? Gods having some bets? Are we all dead and just haven't noticed yet?"

It would be strange to walk around the island with swords on display. Not that Molly minded being perceived as strange or judged in any way, but that seemed a bit too much even for him. Still, they felt unsafe without the loyal weapons at arms reach. "Do you even feel exposed when you go out without an... accessory that you're quite used to wearing?"

Molly had always been confident and very sure of himself, but even the most self-assured people needed a second opinion at times. His style was loud and bright, but that visual cacophony was selected with care to create their great looks. They couldn't let a poorly chosen accessory ruin their vibe. "Be honest with me. Are the red glasses working? I think they go well with my eyes, but I'm not sure if they clash with the tattoos the wrong way."

"Have you eaten today?"
"Have you drank any water?"
"Will you please just let me do this for you?"
"What do you mean "that's normal". No, it isn't."
"Hey, hey, relax. I'm sure you're just dehydrated."
"Well it's no wonder you feel like shit."
"Just please go to bed."
"I'll make you some soup, okay?"
"I'll be here when you wake up. I promise."
"You shouldn't be walking and you know it."
"How did the hospital even deal with you for more than five minutes?"
"Would it really kill you to stay in bed?"
"Yeah, well, I'm not a nurse, so... don't expect perfection."
"Please, I care about you."
"Whatever you do, DON'T puke on me."
"...Need a tissue?"
"Eww, gross--you're lucky I love you...!"
"That cough of yours makes the black plague look tame."
"Want me to hold your hand?"
"Wait, wait--don't faint don't faint do--!"
"You're going to be okay, I promise."
"I'll take care of you the best I can, okay?"
"Shhh... it's okay..."
"Hey, hey, it's me. It's just me."
"You'd better get up 'cause I'm NOT carrying you."
"Hey, you kinda passed out on me. Are you alright?"
"D... did you just throw up?"
"I'll wrap you up in a blanket burrito if you don't stop getting up."
"You're definitely not going to heal if you keep doing that, that's for sure."
"Come on, let's get you to bed..."
"I'm not going anywhere, okay? If I get sick, I get sick. I don't care."
"Lying on the ground can't be more comfortable than the couch, or the bed..."
"Stop doing that...!"
"You know, you said some really weird things during your fever."
"Huh? I can't understand you when your nose is so stuffed."
"Need anything? Food, water, blankets...?"
"You're burning up..."
"That doesn't... look good..."
"Do I need to call an ambulance?!"
"We can do anything you want, okay? Anything you feel like."
"How much medicine did they give you...? You're as high as a kite."
