One plumbbob’s Brightpoint Save

General Information:

You will need Brightpoint by iamssimming for this to work!

Your game has to be fully patched (at the moment it’s 1.63).

Required EPs: World Adventures, Ambitions, Late Night, Generations, Pets, Showtime, Supernatural, Seasons, University Life, Island Paradise, Into the Future (All)

Required SPs: Fast Lane Stuff, Outdoor Living Stuff, Town Life Stuff

Here’s an overview of the world and here are some more pictures of the town.

How to install:

1. Read the General Information above 2. Download and install Brightpoint by iamsimming3. Download my save file 4. Install the included CC 5. Put the Brightpoint 2.sims3 folder in your save folder

How to uninstall:

If you don’t like the save file you can easily delete it by deleting the save via the main menu.

Sunset Valley Victorian. my edit

Edited for personal use from the save file I shared.

Now, I'm starting afresh. I've just built a new house, so I'm going to live there. The Langerak family live next door.

There are 90 Sims living in this town. I don't really understand the British class system, but there is a rough division between wealthy and less wealthy areas (they have different vehicles and clothes).The only noble families are the Goth and the Crumplebottom.

"Harbor View Park"

The park with these stairs was built to access the harbor.

The staircase was modeled after the Potemkin Stairs in Odesa, Ukraine, which was completed in 1841. The real thing is much larger, but it's an incredible staircase made famous by Sergei Eisenstein's 1925 silent film Battleship Potemkin.

A person looking down the stairs will only see the landing, while a person looking up the stairs will only see the stairs and will not see the landing.

This park does not have many objects for Sims to play in all day, but Sims gather there and can have fun sitting on benches and chatting.

Oh, it looks like there's a steamship anchored in the harbor.

This month, I decided to try something a little different, and as you can see, it’s all about the hobby of knitting! 🧶 While I’ve never tried knitting myself, I truly admire those who can. With this set, your Sims can show off more personality and creativity. Natural Knitting Stuff by pandorasimbox

Hello friends! Here I am with another mini set. This set is made up of two functional knitting baskets, one decorative knitting basket and a set of overrides that changes the wool visible in the game to a nice neutral biscuit colour. All objects require Sims 4 Nifty Knitting, with the exception of the deco basket, and are complete with all LODs (levels of detail) and texture maps.

Nifty Knitting 3 Seater Matching Sofa

The nifty knitting pack is cute, but it is lacking in furniture.

As my experiment with the tiny living sofa went so well, I thought I’d do the same with the nifty knitting pack. 

The sofa is base game compatible. It matches the love seat exactly. It can be found in the gallery under sofa’s for §600.

Slower knitting: longer to complete projects

Nifty knitting is one of my favourite packs available on The Sims; and playing historical, means it's an integral hobby for sims to improve their Fun bars.

Unfortunately, while playing a lot with the pack, I found that the projects were completed very quickly, and it seemed very unrealistic - it annoyed me a lot!

So, it's another one of the things I was annoyed with and decided I'd try fixing!

After learning about XML, and downloading tools to work the coding - I have made this mod.

Originally, it would take 100-150 sim minutes to complete a standard project, and 200 for a large project. Interestingly, in my search for a mod to extend this time, I found only one to drastically reduce it - as quick as 10 sim minutes!!!

After playing around with time, I settled on 4x the original speed - though, I'm interested to know how others feel about this time.

This mod: - increases the time spent knitting a normal project from 100 sim minutes, to 400 - increases the time spent knitting a large project from 200 sim minutes, to 800

In conjunction with this mod, I recommend:

Using MC Command Centre to make skills more difficult, which will slow progress of level

Downloading @janesimsten's functional spinning wheel - you can then use this to spin wool from your animals, to make yarn for knitting, or thread for cross-stitch

This mod, obviously, requires the "Nifty Knitting" Stuff Pack, but you also need the XML Injector in your mods folder, in order for it to to inject my coding 😋

I have edited the following coding: knitting_CraftingPhase.xml knitting_CraftingPhase_BigProject.xml So anything else that modifies these may cause a conflict.

I would like to thank @janesimsten for helping me work out how to ensure the status circle thing in the queue, matches the length of time to knit the project!!

Sims 3 Farm and Garden Stuff

Its no an expansion, but I’m trying to compile lists of things that are farm related from both custom content and Sims 3 Store sets.

Sims 3 Store Content for Farming:

Grandpa’s Grove (venue) which contains Grandpa’s Grove Tractor (premium content)- the tractor is needed to be able to grow oranges.

Farm Fresh Folk Set (set) which contains Milkin’ It Dairy Corral (premium content) - allows you to get milk from cows.

Fowl and Feathers Chicken Coop (premium content) now found in April 2013 Compilation (set) - allows you to get eggs from chickens.

SwiftGro Gardening Station (premium content) from Stones Throw Greenhouse (venue)

4to3 Conversion: Pigs by Soloriya

I really love this new set by @soloriya so I’m very glad her tou allows to convert to ts3! Credit for meshes and textures goes to her!

These pigs come in the original two poses (A&B) and four overlays. Apart from switching overlays, they’re not recolourable with create-a-style. Because the textures are rather large images, I used linked textures.

Pig A must be installed for all adult pigs to work

Piglet A must be installed for all piglets to work

Those two, which are required for the textures are also indicated by the package names.

There are decorative and functional versions of the pigs

Those without suffix are purely decorative.

Those with a “_steak” suffix use the old autosoil-trick to function as steakplants. These require SimsMX’s autosoil mod. For further info how it works, please see here.

Of course you’ll be able to harvest steaks from one pig several times, but you can always sell it after one harvest for more realism.

[I wanted to convert the shelter and food troughs from the original sets as well, but I couldn’t get the slots to work, which would have been needed to put the pigs inside, and in the end my conversions of those items crashed my game. So I’m not going to pursue these any further.]

I absolutely adore this idea, the cows look so much better and more realistic like this than inside the original fence and shed!

The aesthetic of Tedhi's game is absolutely charming too. Watch to the end to see her sweet dairy shop. Love it!

THE BASIC SNEAKER

These are two perfectly good shoes from the basegame that just didn’t have colors that I ever wanted. So I recolored them a whole bunch and now everyone will be able to find a sneaker that they enjoy. Hooray!

The solids and patterns are in separate packages, so pick whatever ones you like for whatever age you’d like.

Redmoor - a custom TS3 world

Woooo! I’ve finally finished working on my custom world, Redmoor. Honestly, testing it and correcting all the small mistakes took more than designing and building the world itself :D The whole idea was to make a medium-sized world with lots close to each other, so the sims won’t take two hours to go from one place to another, and with a variety of lots (starter lots, expensive villas, farmhouses, victorian mansions, etc.)

Some of the lots come from EA towns (edited by me) and some are from MySimRealty, @checkmar​ and luvalphvle. Thank you all for permissions to use your beautiful lots! The world uses minimal CC. All lots are furnished and decorated.

World size: 1024 x 1024 (medium) map, but the town itself is smaller.

Number of lots: 93 (34 residential, 51 community, 6 empty, 2 houseboat ports). There are swamp shacks, starter bungalows, family houses, victorian manors, townhouse apartments, farmhouses, modern beach houses, houseboats and a private island villa to choose from!

Known issues: All issues have been fixed. If you have downloaded previous version, please redownload :)

EPs & SPs required: All except Into The Future. No SPs needed.

CC required: everything except roof recolors and cornices by Awesims is pretty much optional, as it would be replaced by other items if you don’t download them. Cornices and roofs were used on most buildings in town though, and the lots look ugly without them.

I have included all BG spawners, and some World Adventures ones. There are Island Paradise spawners on beaches and dive lots. Most rabbitholes up to IP are placed in town (except for the big show venue and the large equestrian center, as there was no place for it). There are many community lots (cafes, pubs, museum, gym, nectary, etc.) to visit! :)

LINMEADOW by pleyita

Hey guys! Linmeadow (formerly Project Vertrose) is all finished after many, many hours of messing around in CAW. It comes with pre-built lots and requires very minimal setup. It requires all EPs except Showtime, no SPs, no Store content, and only a small handful of custom content!

Included in your download is the world file, some of the required CC (as the links are no longer available on those particular files), and a User Manual. PLEASE fully read the User Manual before asking me any questions. It should have all of the information you’ll need.

If you end up using Linmeadow and take pictures in it, I really want to see them! Tag your pictures as ‘Linmeadow’ here on tumblr and I track that tag and I’ll check it out!

Let me know if there’s any serious bugs or borkage. It should be fine, but the keyword is ‘should’. CAW and me aren’t buddies.

I've always loved the world Brightpoint Island made by IAMSIMMING. So I've decided to put together a save file for the world. This originally was just supposed to be for me but I've decided to share it. Most of the community lots were made by me. Any lots/blueprints that were placed have been given credit in their descriptions. It is populated and every family/sim has a bio and story. Hope you enjoy!

Requires all EPs/SPs (I didn't really keep track of this but I own all of them so I'm just going to say it requires them all)

CC and Store Content was used building this world. I've included a file for what's required.

Playtested *Disclaimer* The proprietor on the festival lot keeps having a routing error on stage, they will correct themselves after throwing tantrums and the shows should work. (Tested this myself, takes a bit for the proprietor to leave the stage but it does work).
