Can we normalize using the suffix -misic/misia instead of -phobic ?
It's not that they're scared. They're blatantly hateful. Phobic implies that one is scared. It is an inaccurate descriptor and I am tired of having to explain what -misia and -misic mean. (─.─||)
They're not QueerPHOBIC. They're QueerMISIC. The behavior they are exhibiting is hateful. Not Fearful.
Edit: Thank you to those who pointed out the flaw in this, as I forgot other connotations of the suffix -phobic when making this post.

Going through a BIID forum and hearing "we don't want to lose anyone else"....
Yeah this is what I hear
Someone felt so fucking awful about having a limb they didn't want that they almost removed it in a deadly way, this is what people think is being a "faker" ? Someone who "can't possibly understand being disabled" ?
How about the fact someone has said "we can't lose anymore people".
How many people have to die before we decide it's not the big bad boogyman to want to get rid of limbs or their functions? That maybe doctors should be legally allowed to amputate or paralyze patients, because if they don't those same people will do it themselves and die.
These are people want to be free and comfortable, I've read up on several who figure out ways to get what they want, but it's incredibly legally and physically dangerous, putting themselves in horrifying amounts of pain to finally live a life they are okay being in
We need to make changes, and we should start looking into our medical field to do so

You shouldn’t have to be trans to get any sex characteristic-related surgery. It’s not a limited resource. Plenty of cis men get implants and cis women get breast reductions. From Colby Gordon today and Leslie Feinberg in Transgender Warriors (1996).

Hey radqueers! Especially the American ones! Have you heard of Beyond The Plus? They’re a RQ advocacy group operating out of Seattle, with a focus on making real-life connections and visibility efforts. Check out their website! (Though, be warned, I’ve been told the connect forms don’t work yet!)
If you’re in their vicinity, it could be worth checking out and/or getting involved!

"what could a x year old possibly have in common with a x year old?" is a great sentiment to echo if you wanna keep generations divided arbitrarily and make the younger more easily controlled by oppressive systems.
be friends with kids and old people. we aren't a different species. these strict age divisions are unnaturally created to keep us all vulnerable and stupid.
