We’re so happy right now!
Apple released iOS8 yesterday, which is a huge step for us and of course, for you, our dear users. Since iOS8 supports WebGL by default, projects made in Goo Create can now be viewed and interacted with on iPhones and iPads.
This opens up a whole new world for everyone using Create, since you are now able to create experiences, ads and games that can be enjoyed by a much wider audience than before.
This is how happy we are (try it on your iOS8 devices too!): https://goote.ch/7b84b7637c414572b4c75c3c1c742d64.project/

Goo Create Update
This week's update includes some amazing new features and - as always - lots of bug fixes.
New Features:
Assets can now be shared with friends, lovers and teammates! Click the sharing settings button in the Asset Library panel to share an asset, go to the “Shared With Me” library to see assets shared with you:
Assets without a thumbnail in the asset library will now have a pretty default image:
Scripts can now opened from the Asset list:
Skyboxes now work like all other assets; they can be drag-and-dropped, duplicated, added to the Asset Library and shared:
A Project Stats panel has been added to track how performant a scene is. Use it together with the Project Size panel to optimize your scene:
Bug fixes:
Fixed an issue where the overlay postFX would not display the correct texture.
Dropping an image on the canvas now creates an entity, material and texture all named after the dropped image.
Imported scripts won’t show up twice in the text editor anymore.
Added a button to duplicate a 2D entity's material.
Timeline assets with missing entities will now still import and play.
Text editor assets will now show their current name, even if that name isn’t saved.
The State Machine actions Tween Opacity and Move will now work correctly even when the time is set to Zero.
HTML entity links now work with touch input.
If a script parameter is missing a default variable, one will be added automatically.
The default state dot is now replaced with a text since a lot of users missed this feature.
Removing unused assets will no longer remove the skybox.
Meshes with skeletons will no longer appear in their root position on the scene starting frame.
Projects will still load even if they use a non-https external script.
If you blow a kiss to Goo Create, it will now feel the warmth of your love.

Meet the Team Behind Goo!
We’d love for you to get more familiar with us, so we’ve started a blog series where we present each member of the Goo family! Keep reading every week as we add new posts.
Johannes Söderberg
Johannes is from Örnsköldsvik, Sweden, and is a producer at Goo. “In short, my job at Goo is to enable the developers of the Goo Studio to create truly remarkable stuff! I do this by identifying and removing impediments for my team members as well as being the point of contact for the projects that I am involved in.”
Johannes says the best thing about working with Goo is that “it enables me to contribute to a product that fuels great many individuals' passion of making interactive media such as games or animated movies!” His favorite feature in Goo Create is the State Machine; “It enables me to disguise myself as a skillful programmer.”
Johannes collects autographs from “inspiring musicians on my driver license(s). Oh! I was also Lucia of the most beautiful Lucia procession once.”

There he is!
His favorite game is Super Metroid on SNES, but he’s having a much harder time choosing a favorite song. “To pinpoint a single best song is extremely difficult for me but if I were to narrow it down to a single album it would probably be Hot Fuss by The Killers. This is probably the closest to "Perfect" an album could ever be for me.” He gave us 4 candidates for "Best Song" though :)

Meet the Team Behind Goo
We’d love for you to get more familiar with us, so we’ve started a blog series where we present each member of the Goo family! Keep reading every week as we add new posts.
Hedvig Marano
Hedvig is from Stockholm, Sweden, and is our Event Coordinator at Goo. She's the one keeping track of relevant conferences, events and trade shows for Goo to participate in or visit. She's also coordinating the planning and information on events, as well as working with our presence at local events.
Hedvig says the best part of working at Goo is the "free soft drinks, obviously just kidding, but not really". But also the "great people, and the feeling that there are lots of possible directions and exciting prospects for Goo on the horizon; that we are growing and always in motion, so to speak."
She says she loves Goo Create because "it is accessible even for someone like me, who knows very little about programming and such." Also, Hedvig told us she has "an obscure national championship title", but she refuses to tell us what it is! Gaah!
Her favorite song? Well, currently it's Tether (Chvrches), Do It Again (Robyn & Röyksopp), Svär på min mamma (Silvana Imam) and Hard to Hold (RAC feat. Tegan & Sara). Favorite game then? "I'm embarrassed to admit I don't really play any games, but I used to like PacMan, Bomb Sweeper and Lemmings when I was little, if that counts?" Of course it counts!

We're Moving!
Goo is growing and our office has become a little too small. So today we're moving to a much bigger office, where we can grow even more! We're still settling in, as you can see in the picture below, but we'll be back up and running soon :)
Our new office is not far away from the old one though; we're actually still in the same building! If you want to visit us, we're now at Linnégatan 89E in Stockholm.

Great news!
We’re very excited to bring you a completely new learning platform (http://learn.goocreate.com)! The brand new section includes tutorials, examples and articles, all aimed towards spreading knowledge and inspiring.
The new platform is more structured than before, meaning that it’s easier to find the topics you’re looking for. Categories, searching and filtering are all built in. We’ve also added a few exciting Crash Courses, collections of tutorials and examples providing a sensible order to tackle things in. Check out the Getting Started (http://learn.goocreate.com/getting-started/) or the Start Scripting (http://learn.goocreate.com/start-scripting/) crash courses, for example.
As if that was not enough, we’ve added a lot of new tutorials, and examples to dive into. To top it off, some of the results of our bi-weekly Goofy Days can be found in the special category Goofy Projects (http://learn.goocreate.com/goofy-projects). Use with caution ;)
The new tutorials are:
Jump Right In
Interface Overview
Entities and Components
The Hierarchy and Transforms
Assets in Create
Transforms and the Transform Component

Goo Create Update
Hi!
Here are this week’s updates in Goo Create and Goo Engine (there's a lot of them):
New and Improved UI: A major overhaul of the UI design has been made to make the whole design more consistent and intuitive. Creation and publishing are in the top middle, project related menu items are in the top left and tools, help and user options can be found in the upper right corner. The hierarchy list is now properly sorted alphabetically and arrows and dots have been added for better feedback on what entities are children of others. Menus and dialogs are now consistently displayed as pop-overs. Hiding, browsing for, and importing assets are now easier with new big icons.
Improved Project list: Projects are now displayed in a neat list for easier browsing. You can also add tags to your projects to find them even easier.
UI Color themes: There are now two UIs to toggle between in the lower right corner of Create. Choose between working in a dark or a bright workspace to fit whatever mood or environment you're in.
New and More Powerful Asset Library: Any asset can now be saved into the asset library for import into another project. Save your favorite scripts, sounds, skyboxes, textures, materials and state machines for import into new projects.
Additions:
When duplicating an entity, the clone will now share materials with the original. A button has been added to the material component to copy the material.
In the export tab the direct link to your project will now always redirect to the latest published version of your project.
The HTML component will now fade when selected so you can properly reach its gizmo and move it around.
The animation panel has been made more intuitive with an added checkbox for making an animation loop forever or a desired amount of times.
Added a link below the screenshot to the full-size image.
When two assets are created with the same name through import or duplication, a number is added to the name to easier tell them apart.
UI and grid settings are now saved locally to make it consistent across all your projects.
When deleting an entity, its assets are no longer deleted with it. To get rid of unused assets, click the gear icon over the asset list and use the "remove unused assets" function.
Added buttons to the timeline to create and remove keyframes, and timeline channels are now automatically activated when adding keyframes to them.
Moved canvas size into the project settings under the "document" component.
Fixed Bugs:
Fixed an issue where HTML components would carry over into a new projects canvas.
Fixed an issue where snapshots had an incorrect timestamp.
Due to performance restrictions the texture offset sliders have been removed from all texture channels except diffuse, offsetting the diffuse will offset all other texture channels as well.
Optimized saving process to make sure all changes carry through when publishing.
Mouse pointer location is now correctly calculated even when having zoom activated in your browser.
State machine states can no longer link to themselves.
Fixed an issue where the browser would crash when creating a really long timeline.
Fixed an issue where replacing an image in the scene wouldn't update with the new image’s pixel ratio.
Camera entities' frustums are no longer affected when changing the size of the entity or parent entity.
Fixed an issue where the timeline wouldn't return the user to the editor cam on stopping the scene.
Fixed an issue where the tween opacity action would sometimes cause other entities to disappear.
If you experience weird issues with this release, please make sure you've cleaned your cache from old data. Do this in Chrome by pressing Ctrl+Shift+R (or Cmd+Shift+R on Mac). In Firefox press Ctrl+F5 (or Cmd+F5 on Mac).
Happy Creating!
