Intro.
Standing at 5â5âł, weighing about 230lbs wasnât the easiest thing growing up. I wasn't like the other girls, I wasnât society's ideal of what beauty looks like. The appearance of perfect bodies were all around me, on television, in movies, in newspaper and magazine ads and online. The ideal image of women would be to have blonde hair, small stomach and have big breasts. I didnât have that, my stomach wasn't flat, my collar bones didnât show, my wrists weren't small. I was far from having that perfect ideal of âbeauty.â Every day I faced backlash for my appearance verbally and physically. Until one day I vowed that I was going to change my appearance to make myself more appealing to others.
