My utter contempt for Chapman, due to him being a rich business owner from out-of-town, because I grew up in a tiny town, watching as big businesses moved in, stealing all the profit from the local businesses til they died, leaving my town pretty much an empty husk with a few, non-local big businesses and nothing else

It's all about the layers. She has a really complicated gender, that can't easily fall under the definition of nonbinary, or even 'not man'/'not woman'. Its complex and messy and she's spent a lot of time carefully analysing and naming each part. Would she like microlabels? Would she be the type to coin her own terminology?

Starting the penumbra this late, especially going into it knowing some basic plot and character names led me to making some wildly incorrect assumptions while listening.

For example, in season 2, I somehow got it into my head that the Piranha was actually Buddy???? Cause we never hear an actual name for her, but in The Promised Land, Pilot refers to her as 'buddy'. (I somehow didn't catch that they were referring to everyone as 'buddy')

Like what I knew about Buddy was a) she was hot, b) she was a lesbian, c) she was some kind of crime boss, and d) that she becomes like a mother-figure to Juno.  The Piranha had been called buddy, was definitely a criminal and I just assumed the fandom had taste.

I actually found the Piranha to be a really fun character and was like, super excited to see her be developed more (especially her being a lesbian and her relationship with Juno) and was like genuinely crushed when I was wrong and she was killed actually.

I was so sad that Juno Steel and the Terrible, No-Good Crime Mother wasn't a thing that was happening
