[Emergency Water Relief for Gaza City – Help Deliver Life-Saving Water

In Gaza City, clean drinking water is dangerously scarce. Families are struggling to find safe water for drinking, cooking, and basic survival. With infrastructure devastated and water sources contaminated, the need for urgent relief is critical.

We are launching a three-month emergency water distribution project to deliver clean water directly to those most in need. Two water trucks will distribute 10,000 liters per day to communities facing extreme shortages. Our goal is to ensure that families, children, and the elderly have access to safe drinking water during this crisis.

How You Can Help

We have budgeted $50,000 to sustain this project for three months. Each truckload of 5,000 liters costs roughly $300 per truck. That means:

Currently, they are trying to raise $3,500 (USD) for rent and to continue operating to serve students in Gaza. So far, they've received about $2k/3.5k, and they still have $1.5k to go. The foundation is on a deadline and only has 2 days left. This is an urgent, time-sensitive situation. If they don't receive the funds they need, Isnad will not be able to help provide education to students in Gaza any longer.

Hello everyone, As some of you may know, my name is Amal. I’m an architect from Gaza, currently living in Berlin. I came here before the war on a work contract, but I was fired as soon as the war started because of my Palestinian identity.

With a heavy heart, I launched this fundraiser to help my family. Thanks to your generous donations, I was able to evacuate them from certain death in Gaza to Egypt. But they fled with nothing — no home, no income, no future. And for those who remember, I was also scammed out of $20,000 during my desperate attempts to save them.

After I got my family to safety, I felt I had already asked for too much. So I stopped posting for 9 months. I didn’t want to burden anyone. I tried to carry everything on my own, working 3 exhausting jobs, barely sleeping. But now, I’m drained. I took on three jobs in Berlin and kept going, hoping I could carry this weight alone. But the truth is: I can’t anymore.

I’m supporting five people on my own. I don’t sleep. I’m drained — physically, emotionally, financially. Rent in both Berlin and Cairo is crushing me. I cover every single expense for my family — food, shelter, medicine — and still, it’s not enough.

Every step a Palestinian takes in Egypt costs a fortune.

Now I’m being asked to send my sister out of Egypt just so she can come back and reapply for residency, meaning I need to buy her plane tickets. They also asked us to pay $2,500 just to activate her student residency. On top of that, $3,000 is required for her next semester.

My other sister, Abeer, has just graduated from medical school after 7 years of studying in Egypt, but she’s not allowed to receive her diploma unless we pay $9,000 in overdue fees from the past 3 years. We couldn’t afford the last 3 years because of the war.

I’ve attached proof of this payment demand.

I honestly talk to myself in the street out of exhaustion. I’ve been quiet because I felt guilty asking for more. But I can’t do this anymore. I’m just one person trying to carry a mountain.

Please help me. Please share my story. I am just a human. I am breaking.

There are 8 days left until the goal closes. Unfortunately, I did not receive the requested amount. We continue to publish hour after hour, but to no avail. We have $3,200 left, and unfortunately, the Isnad Initiative students will not be able to obtain study seats. Gaza students need this amount to save their dream, their future, and their families! 😭

For the first time, I see Isnad Initiative students in this state, broken, lacking passion, feeling hopeless. 40 students, both male and female, are broken!! And all this because of only $3,200 left! They are in dire need of this money. I have never seen them in such weakness before. Everyone was completing their dream with a small laptop and a simple study desk.

But today?!

Will these heroes' dream end for $3,500?

Will they return to their tents disappointed and tell their families that they were unable to complete their education? And consequently, they won't receive food this month. How weak and feeble we are today in the eyes of this world! Our only goal has become obtaining internet, electricity, and a simple chair!! And yet we are still unable to provide this.

Damn it!

I don't know how I'm going to tell them that we couldn't achieve the goal. I don't know how I'm going to go out and really tell them this!! I wish I could get this amount just for the students of Gaza.💔

Hey guys. Just wanted to address some things. So lately there have been some behaviours, or campaigning strategies & tactics being used by a handful of Ghazzawi people in their efforts to campaign for their blogs that have been unnecessarily and damagingly disruptive. I addressed them in a separate post in Arabic specifically for them.

We were hoping to address these issues as they were brought to us by numerous Western English-speaking people who were in direct contact with these individuals and were befriending them or helping them with their campaigns.

I asked every Ghazzawi, in that post, to completely disengage from these tactics, so you do not need to concern yourself with doing that yourself. If I may ask you, please reblog the Arabic post to spread this as much as possible (Sorry link is broken on mobile but works on desktop).

I don't want to rehash all of it here but I wanted to summarize some of them because it is important for you all to be aware of them, as well as our stance on these behaviours (we being me Hussein (el-shab-hussein), and Nairuz (nabulsi)):

1) In the first point, we ask people not to create and maintain a large amount of accounts to get past ask limits and other things like that. The main reasons why we discourage this are because 1) people will just assume they're a bot even if they're completely real people asking for legitimate help surviving genocide, 2) it makes it hard to find out where we can actually reach them for check-ins, questions, and updates. One individual has begun making usernames similar to bigger tumblr blogs, which is just extremely dishonest. We make a point of this in the post.

2) In the second point, we discuss a specific targeting tactic used by some. Some Ghazzawiyeh will picture themselves as personally in competition for attention with another individual in particular, or multiple, and will make unfounded accusations about the legitimacy of this other individual's campaign despite being fully verified, including ID's, medical documents & diagnoses, location, and other social media platforms essentially triangulating this person's presence in Ghazzah. This is just a really bad tactic at trying to maximize attention for one's own fundraiser. I don't think this needs much more explanation.

3) In the final point we ask them not to engage in an account-sharing tactic we've seen used by some individuals, in regards to sharing a big account that has long been owned and maintained by a Westerner. It's just an all-around bad idea, although the sentiment is good, there's just so much that can and probably will go wrong. EDIT: A lot of people were confused by this one (I tried to summarize and I did so poorly) so I'm gonna elaborate. I've been told of some Western tumblr users with big accounts deciding to allow a Ghazzawi person to have access to their blog so they can post their fundraisers on it. It's very kind and it's coming from a good place but so much can go wrong with this, like poorly established boundaries, those same boundaries getting broken, unblocking people who were meant to stay blocked, blocking people who were not meant to be blocked, sending of messages, access to previous private chats, etc...

We are by no means condoning these behaviours but we understand the desperation of the situation. These individuals are being warned but they are not under any obligation to listen to us, we have no control over the behaviours of individuals in an extremely perilous situation. We do not endorse attacking any of the people doing these things, and if you do you will be dealt with. They are people in extreme need. Just as we understand their situation we hope you do as well. I just ask of you not to cooperate with them on the behaviours that could involve you, for example the account sharing.

If you as a Westerner are in direct contact with a Ghazzawi individual who has been behaving in these ways as of late, you can try gently nudging them away from these behaviours with some encouragement, otherwise there's not much else you can do to help in this regard. I do not advise you to use any more distressing tactics like threatening to cut off contact completely for continued disruptive behaviour.

Just wanted to provide a clarification because transparency about some of the issues we've been encountering and dealing with is important

اتفهم أن الأوضاع بالغة الصعوبة ، و الحاجة شديدة ،لكن تصرفات مثل هذه لها آثار سيئة و أضرار كثيرة على المدى القريب والبعيد . إذا استمرّت هذه الظواهر ، سيفقد الناس الثقة فيما تقول و تنشر ، و يتوقفوا عن التبرع . للأسف، إذا فقد الناس ثقتهم فيك بسبب تصرفاتك فعندها لا أنا ولا غيري يستطيع مساعدتك لإنقاذ سمعتك أو بناء الثقة من جديد .

هذه بعض التصرفات التي قد تعد غير نزيهة او مرغوبة ننصح بتجنبها :

⁃ عمل عدة حسابات و إبقاءها فعّالة في نفس الوقت حتى توسع حملتك .

طبعاً من المفهوم فتح حساب جديد إذا التغى القديم ، او فتح حساب احتياطي في حالة حصل الالغاء . لكن لاحظت، مثلاً ، ان عائلة واحدة لديها اكثر من ٥٠ حساباً، حيث أنهم يفتحوان حساباً جديداً كل يوم في محاولة لتجاوز الحد المسموح للرسائل في الموقع. أنا اتفهم تماماً أسبابك، لكن المشكلة أن الآخرين سيظنون انك ربوت ( بوت ) و ��ي الغالب سيبلغون عن الحساب و يتم الغائه. في العادة الناس لا تثق بمثل هذه السلوكيات في عالم النت، ولا يوجد فائدة حقيقية منها . و ايضاً، تعدد الحسابات يجعل التواصل معك صعباً و مربكاً ، إذا رغبوا في معلومات او مجرد الاطمئنان.

اليوم، احد من مستعملين الموقع اشتكالي ان واحد من الغزاويين عمل عدة حسابات، و اختار اسامي للحسابات يقلدون اسامي حسابات كبيرة و مشهورة على الموقع. هادا يقترب من الفساد و الكزب. من فضلكم لا تتصرفون بي هادي الطريقة المخادعة

رجاءً تجنبوا مثل هذه السلوكيات ، فهي ايضاً مضيعة حقيقة لوقتك و مجهودك.

⁃ اتهام الآخرين بالكذب من اجل جلب الاهتمام لذاتك . اتهام شخص آخر نحن متأكدون من ظروفه - و احياناً لديه مشكلة صحية تأكدنا من صحتها و وثائقها- اتهامه بالكذب من اجل ان تحصل على الاهتمام هو شيء سيء جداً . لن تثق الناس فيك حين تتهم الآخرين بالكذب من غير أدلة .

أشخاص عديدون قد اشتكوا من مثل هذه التصرفات ، حيث أن الناس الذين تتكلم معهم لا يصدقونك، و قد أرهقتهم هذه الاتهامات التي ليس لها أساس من الصحة. من فضلك لا تقوم بجز الآخرين في صراعاتك الخاصة ، حاول ان تحلها مع المعنيين ، و بعيداً عن الآخرين ، و دون إدخالهم في تلك الدوامات .

- لا تشارك أي عضو بحسابك ولا تتشارك مع عضو آخر بي حسابه.

هذه قضية كبيرة جداً ، و اشتكى لي منها الكثيرون .

البعض كان قد حصل على موافقة من بعض الحسابات الغربية ليدخلوا على حسابهم من أجل نشر حملتهم .

في الأوضاع الطبيعية، ربما كان هذا الأمر مقبولاً ، حيث أنه استخدام لشعبية صاحب الحساب من أجل الوصول إلى اكبر عدد . لكن هنا ، هذا يعطي بعض الأشخاص أفضلية و ميزة غير عادلة على الأخرين، خاصة إذا كان شخص واحد لديه القدرة على دخول حسابات عديدة لديها عدد متابعين كبير . أضف إلى ذلك الاتهامات التي ليس لها أساس ، و تتحول الأمور هنا إلى فوضى عارمة .و الأدهى أن البعض يقوم بأعمال تعد فوضوية مثل أن لا يلتزم بشروط أصحاب الحساب الذين يسمحون لهم بدخولها ، مثل عدم إرسال رسائل خاصة من الحساب المشترك . او شطب او بلوك أشخاص لا يرغب صاحب الحساب بشطبهم . هذه أعمال فوضوية ، و من الصعب تجنبها حين يحصل البعض على إمكانية دخول حساب الآخرين ، لذلك اقترح ان نغلق الباب ولا يشارك أحد غيره في أي حساب .

أترجاكم ، من فضلكم ، أتوسل إليكم ، فلنتوقف عن هذه المنافسة الشديدة بين بعضنا البعض . من المفروض ان يساعد بعضكم البعض في هذه الظروف القاسية.

هذه التصرفات بصراحة أصبحت معيبة ، وارفض ان ادعمها او ان اشهدها من غير ان اقول شيئا.

و اثار هذه الأعمال ستكون مدمرة مع الزمن .
