Let's shoot! Today there was a photoshooting of the hairstylists of the third Semester, to show the progress in their skills. The students dressed their models up, focused especially on the hair. They put a lot of effort in every single detail. The results were amazing! Hairdesign at its best!

Advanced Open water diver, Bali In the midtermbreak of the semester some guys of our group did go to Bali for vacation. For me it was the best opportunity to make my long desired next diving course, the Advanced Open water diver. I arranged the course in advance, so the diving Center, called scubadubadoo;), picked me up at 7am after our nightly arriving in Bali. They took me to the North coast for 2 days. Therefore we had to drive about 3 hours through the mountainous humid tropics. As you can see on the pictures I saw a lot of the typical rice cultivations. The diving course itself consisted of 5 dives, where I should improve the following skills: The underwaternavigation with a compass, the nightdiving with pocket lamps, the deep diving (I'm now allowed to go to the dephts of 40 metres!), wreckdiving and finally the underwaterphotography. The last one of the instructions was my favourite one. I got a very good camera, including 2 macroobjectives and 2 lightnings (picture). It was very difficult to get all the settings done manually underwater, while diving during currents, which hitting you away from the object of interest. Sometimes it took me 15-20 minutes to get a good shot of one animal. But i loved it! The seaworld is so colourful and bares so much beauty! I think i have to start to save money now for a real professional underwatercamera, because it is really worth it!

This is a short cutout of the Interview with Jochen Freydank about himself and "Spielzeugland". There he replies to the question, what kind of regisseur he is. If you want to find out more about the festival, search for it on the facebooksite of Limkokwing University of Creative Technology or click on the following website: www.limkokwing.net/media/news/short_shorts_film_festival_asia_lights_up_cyberjaya/

Short Shorts Filmfestival On the 29th and 30th of october, the Short Shorts Filmfestival & Asia2013 was celebrated in the hall of fame. It is about short movies of filmdirectors from all over the world. It was the first time that the heads of the Festival collaborated with limkokwing University. As special guest Jochen Alexander Freydank was invited to the festival. He is a German moviemaker, who won an Oscar for his shortmovie "toyland" in 2009. Laura and me was given the honor to welcome him and present Germany through our traditional costumes (thanks to our mums who sent those to us;). During the festival we had the chance to Listen to lectures about storytelling and watch the films, which were nominated for the short Shorts Award. The celebration was closed by an Interview of Freydank through the heads of the festival. Finally i was very glad of having the chance to talk to Jochen Freydank. He is a very pleasant and indigenous person, besides the great talent of moviemaking.

Tiyayoga My yoga instructor surprised me with a present after the lesson: the t-Shirt of the team. Now I'm finally admitted to the International Yoga Academy. Proud of that! Namaste:)

Dinnertime Today we Girls went out for dinner at the domain, a condominium in putrajaya. We picked out a Pakistani Restaurant to get another food for a change besides the spicy asian stuff. There we traditionally sit on the floor at a Rotary table, surrounded by pillows and blankets. I ate "Paneer Karahi", wich is cheese cooked with spinach, together with "chapati" (fresh bread). It was delicious;)

Pulau Perhentian
A few weeks ago a group of our german guys got ready to spend some amazing days at the perhentian Islands. These 4 islands are located in front of the eascoast of Malaysia, only 64 kilometers next to Thailand. We stayed at Perhentian Kecil, but anyway all four Islands belong to the Pulau Pedang national Marine Park.
We first went by bus to Keala Besut (took us 10 hours!), the port village, from where a little boat ferried us during the sunset to the bay. The sand was white and the water dreamlike turquois. Finally Paula, Camilla, Kathrin and me found a little bungalow at the Coral beach, where we slept the following 3 nights (we had to abdicate hot water, air-condition and good prevention from insects but at least we only spend 15 euros for the whole stay:D).
During the day we always went to the Longbeach, the popular place for swimming, sunbathing and partying. We attend a snorkling trip, where i finally saw sharks and big turtles(i swam down to one as you can see on the picture) the first time of my life. It was amazing! On myself I also made a diving trip to refresh my diving skills. Every night we sat on the beach to smoke shisha, drinking cocktails (or buckets:D) and dancing while enjoying the fireshow of the artists and watching the fullmoon.
There is so much to say about the beauty, feelings and adventures we lived to see, but just watch the pictures and you will get a little indentation of what i talk. That is really a place to be, you shouldn't miss once in your life!

Drawing course Today I was asked to model for the Fashion-Design Students of the third semester. I had to wear that beautiful dress (Semester work, took One month to get finished), which the Students should draw. I had to stand and sit in different positions. All the Students did quite well, above there are at least two Exempels of the drawings.

Bukit tabur This Trip was a very exciting one for us. Lena and me planned to climb up the Mountain called "bukit tabur", to see the sunrise at 7 am. We started from desaria at 4.30 am and arrived 45 minutes later. Bukit tabur is located in taman melawati, about 30 minutes by car from KL in the North-East. It is part of a series of karst hills with a high content of quartz crystals. After the cabdriver dropped us off somewhere in the middle of nowhere, we finally found the entrance to the path trough the help of some inhabitants. Fortunately we could affiliate to a private tour, which really helped us, because otherwise we would be in a fix without pocket lamps in the dark;) the Way to the top was mostly consisting of rocks and narrow pathes, we were quite exhausted when we arrived the Top. But the effort was worth it, the view was amazing. On the One side you can see KL and in the other side the lake Klang Gate Dam, circuited by the rainforest. Instead of the sunrise we only saw the close fog coming up and covering the area. But it also gives you unimaginable sights!
