Si è svolto oggi, domenica 16 marzo 2025, un sit-in di protesta, contro Eutanasia e Suicidio Assistito, davanti all’ospedale Fatebenefratelli di Milano.

Si protestava in particolare per quanto fatto dall'assessore regionale al Welfare Bertolaso  in combutta con la ASST del Fatebenefratelli- Sacco.

E’ stato infatti consegnato dalla ASST ad un medico della associazione Luca Coscioni il preparato per sottoporre una persona al suicidio medicalmente assistito. In pratica un veleno per uccidere una persona.

“Ciò è assolutamente illegale e incostituzionale. Né la Corte, né il Parlamento hanno infatti riconosciuto un diritto a morire che comporti la possibilità di accedere al suicidio medicalmente assistito con farmaco letale fornito dal Servizio Sanitario”, affermano i responsabili dall'iniziativa.

Inoltre è inconcepibile che il Servizio “Sanitario” adesso si metta a fornire preparati che non sono farmaci che curano, ma veleni che uccidono. Mai e poi mai il Servizio Sanitario può fornire un veleno. Che senso avrebbe chiamarlo "Sanitario"?

Altrettanto assurdo è definire queste pratiche come una forma di “autodeterminazione”.  Nessuno si eutanasizza o si aiuta al suicidio da solo.  Si tratta invece di veri e propri omicidi compiuti da altre persone. Cosa non può e non potrà mai essere legale in un paese civile, così come non lo è la pena di morte.

Il tutto è aggravato dal fatto che il Consiglio Regionale della Regione Lombardia con apposita delibera (ottobre 2024) , ha respinto la proposta di legge sul suicidio assistito.

Allora, a che gioco stiamo giocando?  Perché gli assessori della Regione non rispettano nemmeno la volontà del consiglio; e perché i dirigenti della ASST si prendono queste “libertà”? E proprio su questioni fondamentali come la vita e la morte?

In Italia deve continuare a valere il principio del “non uccidere”. Nessuno può ammazzare, o aiutare ad ammazzare, un altro uomo; nemmeno sui richiesta. E tanto meno questo può farlo un Ente che si chiama “Servizio Sanitario”.

 Non dimentichiamo che la pena di morte è stata abrogata nel nostro paese. Perché rispristinarla sotto forma di Eutanasia e Suicidio Asisstito?

Non dimentichiamo infine quanto scritto nella Convenzione Europea dei Diritti dell’Uomo

I keep seeing the leather/pleather vs denim jacket poll over and over again with all different sorts of discourse about how there is no plastic-free pleather and like, that's TRUE, there isn't, but honestly I DO think people who don't want to use animal products* also deserve to look cool

and so my suggestion is that y'all google "waxed cotton jacket" or "waxed canvas jacket" plus like, "motorcycle" or whatever style you think is cool, because there's a plastic free leather-look material that is strong and durable and waterproof and doesn't use animal products** AND is plastic free already out there and some of the clothes that you can get made out of it look sick as hell.

*ignoring the fact that most leather is meat by-product that would be going to waste anyway

📚Here is my list:

The "how to draw manga" series produced by Graphic-sha. These are for manga artist but they give great advice and information.

"Creating characters with personality" by Tom Bancroft. A great book that can help not just people who draw cartoons but also realistic ones. As it helps you with facial ques and how to make a character interesting.

"Albinus on anatomy" by Robert Beverly Hale and Terence Coyle. Great book to help someone learn basic anatomy.

"Artistic Anatomy" by Dr. Paul Richer and Robert Beverly Hale. A good book if you want to go further in-depth with anatomy.

"Directing the story" by Francis Glebas. A good book if you want to Story board or make comics.

"Animal Anatomy for Artists" by Eliot Goldfinger. A good book for if you want to draw animals or creatures.

"Constructive Anatomy: with almost 500 illustrations" by George B. Bridgman. A great book to help you block out shadows in your figures and see them in a more 3 diamantine way.

"Dynamic Anatomy: Revised and expand" by Burne Hogarth. A book that shows how to block out shapes and easily understand what you are looking out. When it comes to human subjects.

"An Atlas of animal anatomy for artist" by W. Ellenberger and H. Dittrich and H. Baum. This is another good one for people who want to draw animals or creatures.

Etherington Brothers, they make books and have a free blog with art tips.

📝As for Supplies, I recommend starting out cheap, buying Pencils and art paper at dollar tree or 5 below. If you want to go fancy Michaels is always a good place for traditional supplies. They also get in some good sales and discounts. For digital art, I recommend not starting with a screen art drawing tablet as they are usually more expensive.

For the Best art Tablet I recommend either Xp-pen, Bamboo or Huion. Some can range from about 40$ to the thousands.

Clip Studio paint ( you can choose to pay once or sub and get updates. Galaxy, Windows, macOS, iPad, iPhone, Android, or Chromebook device. )

NOTE: Some of these can work on almost any computer like Clip and Sai but others will require a bit stronger computer like Blender. Please check their sites for if your computer is compatible.

So do with this information as you will but as you can tell there are ways to learn how to become an artist, without breaking the bank. The only thing that might be stopping YOU from using any of these things, is YOU.

I have made time to learn to draw and many artist have too. Either in-between working two jobs or taking care of your family and a job or regular school and chores. YOU just have to take the time or use some time management, it really doesn't take long to practice for like an hour or less. YOU also don't have to do it every day, just once or three times a week is fine.

My Cat Needs Urgent Medical Help

Kinda disheartening tbh when you search for people talking about something on tumblr and you find only a single post with like 10 notes. Anyway, I learned about this from Facebook just today and decided I'm going to abuse my follower count to spread the word.

You'll have a hard time finding this in the news because it's being covered up, but from February 4-present the RCMP have been conducting raids on multiple Mi'kmaw reserves part of Acadia First Nation. Their excuse is that they are searching for illegal cannabis.

During the raids, so far they:

Stole a number of truck houses

Stole money from an 8-yo boy's piggy-bank that he had been saving for two years

Invaded homes and destroyed personal property, including basketwork and carvings

Broke the door down of a bathroom occupied by a 14-yo boy as he was using it - the boy has been traumatized by this

Assaulted a man for questioning why they were searching his property without providing a warrant, pinning him into the snow

Cut power of security cameras to hide these actions

I cannot stress enough that the RCMP coming down this hard on our people over motherfucking cannabis is nothing but a racist excuse. There are countless, countless, countless white-owned massive grow-ops making big money without cops lifting a single finger.

I’ve been admiring the success of animal agriculture industry shills on this platform for a while now, so I’d like to share my own price list for any potential interested parties:

£5: I will pretend that I own a leather coat passed down in my family since WWI.

£12: I will forget that any other materials exist besides leather, wool and plastic. For an extra £2, I’ll also shame some poor people who can’t afford to buy animal fabrics in the process.

£15: I will (with a straight face) claim that I only eat cheeseburgers because some indigenous people have to hunt to survive. Alternatively, I can claim that food deserts are the reason I eat meat, despite me not living anywhere near one.

£20: I will weaponise whatever social justice issue is in vogue at the time. I can pretend I believe quinoa is picked by child slaves, vegans eating soy is responsible for deforestation, or that the mere suggestion that animals should have rights is racist or ableist. Enough people who also secretly feel bad about not being vegan will share it uncritically that it’ll drown out anyone offering a sensible rebuttal.

£30: While professing to be a leftist, I will abandon all of my existing anti-capitalist values as soon as animal agriculture is mentioned, and argue for a level of trust in corporate entities that would make a Republican blush. When questioned about this inconsistency, I’ll silence my critics up by asking them if they’ve ever worked on a farm. The fact that I haven’t either will hopefully never come up.

£50: I will make a series of claims about how vegans are destroying the environment. I will make sure these posts appear in the vegan tag, then react with shock and fury when vegans respond to it. I will not be asked for a source, but if I am, I will respond with a 1989 study published in Big Beef Magazine, while insisting on an impossible burden of proof for anyone trying to disprove my claims. No one will question this.

£100: I’ll pretend that I think that veganism is only for rich, white, able-bodied people. When people who don’t fit that stereotype tell me I’m erasing them, I will ignore and/or block them. I’ll have to also pretend that I think beef is less expensive than rice, beans or lentils.
