okay fine !!! i admit it !! i don’t like all this “stalker hector” stuff. to each their own, of course, keeping in mind he is but a fictional character — although, he has wormed his stupid little fictional existence into my brain enough for me to care about him more than necessary — i just feel it is insulting to his character. hell !! he gets offended when you accuse him of stalking or call him creepy which is involved in his hate route. “stalking you. is that what you’re calling this, this devotion to service?” . “stalking. and now i should be sorry?” . “ah, nevermind. it surely cannot be any balm on the word ‘creepy’. you cannot take that back.”

while yes, one could make the argument that the erotica and the flowery words is a little much, but the topic of said erotica does not come up unless you prompt it, until you ask !! meaning, he is very much content keeping that part of his devotion from you—or even stop it all together if it ever were to make you uncomfortable. i feel it’s unfair to label it as a contribution to stalking.

and another argument i see is that he watches you. well yes ! that is his job! he physically cannot stop ! he is the ventilation in every room of the house there is not a time where he cannot see you. he could shield his eyes, and i believe he does because he is not a creep, he would crumble if he ever disrespected you in any shape or form, but he cannot stop himself from watching you. i do say that it is his job because he is responsible for your comfort ! for the air you breathe in, the air that circulates the house, it is a very important job that he needs to know he does well, needs your spoken or unspoken feedback.

it is just very disheartening to see people paint hector in a light where he would hurt the homeowner, or violate them, or have malicious intent because that is so far from the truth !! he would be mortified !! he would cry at the thought of ever doing such things !! please, be kind to him he is fragile . i get very passionate about this.

he is not a creepy stalker who would touch you without consent . he is a nervous vent-dweller who wants love so so so badly but feels he does not deserve it, who loves with his whole heart and does not know exactly how to handle it or how to regulate those strong emotions. all he knows is regulate air . he loves so deeply and from the soul that it can feel off putting, but he does truly mean the absolute best and would give nothing more than to see you happy. with or without his presence.
