So, some facts to consider:

-> Katsuki Bakugou sweats nitroglycerin from his palms

-> He sweats a lot of it, particularly when in combat/excising (see: the giant bracers he can fill on his arms).

-> Quirks often have negative side effects on their users, usually related to not being immune to some element of the quirk ex: being able to create fire but not being fireproof.

-> Nitroglycerin is used medicinally as a strong vasodilator (lowers blood pressure).

-> Nitroglycerin can lower blood pressure dangerously even at low dosages.

-> While people can build up some immunity to it over time, high exposure like Katsuki would have would still be dangerous. Unless his body had some sort of counter.

-> There’s lots of ways a body could raise blood pressure. One of them? Stress.

-> Stress (adrenaline and cortisol) can significantly raise blood pressure and do so fairly quickly.

My conclusion? Katsuki having No Chill Ever is actually his body’s way of keeping his blood pressure even. He’s constantly at 99/100 stress level for everything because of this. It’s why he does everything so intensely, he’s got near max levels of Adrenaline in him at all times.

Now whether or not this is canon or what canon intended is up in the air, but it’s now my personal canon. Ideal results of this:

-> Katsuki’s stress levels are discovered when he and his classmates/maybe teachers are exposed to a fear/panic quirk that shoots your adrenaline and cortisol through the roof. His classmates are sent into a panicked frenzy, running around and hiding. His teachers are either also panicked or just barely holding on to rational thought through many years of practice. Katsuki…. is just fine? Mostly he’s confused as to what the hell is wrong with everyone else. Whoever they’re fighting isn’t actually that tough without their quirk, so Katsuki takes ‘em down. Everyone is put through medical to determine what happened and why Katsuki wasn’t effected. They discover the quirk didn’t work because like, the quirk is made to take someone from 5-10% stress to a sudden 90-95%. Katsuki has a resting 96.7% or something. The extra 3.3% doesn’t change much.

-> They try to put him on anti-anxiety meds or something to help. He starts to calm down for the first time in his life which lasts all of 5 minutes before he passes out and almost fucking dies from the blood pressure drop.

-> “So you’re telling me being calm for once in my life literally almost fucking killed me?”

“Basically, yeah.”

“Hang on, I need to call my mom. I have an argument to win.”

A/N: Just a quick little drabble. Kept you (and your fics) in mind as I wrote @gravity-bomb ! :) 

Ochako grimaces, as she balls her hands into tight fists. Sometimes, Bakugo could be such a pain the ass. He’d been her partner since they graduated from UA, and they’d been dating for a few months. Although she was used to his comments and behavior, he always found new ways to get under her skin.

Both in good and bad ways.  

It was strange. Usually, she would have more patience for him, but not today. It surprises her when she spits out, “Fuck you!” to him. 

“Haaaa?” Bakugo quickly turns around, his mouth hanging open in shock.

She knows why. She never curses. Not when she’s surprised, and most certainly not at anyone. Not even Bakugo. 

“What did you say, Angel Face?” 

Heat creeps up her neck and onto her cheeks. She stutters, “U–umm…” 

“Did you just say fuck you?” He stalks over to her and continues, “To me?”

Ochako wishes the ground would swallow her whole. Why did she say that? It wasn’t like her to be so… rude.

Her apology was ready on her lips, but Bakugo interrupts her, “I would.” 

Her heart stops, and she feels like she’s floating. Slowly, she lifts her head to face him. He’s towering over her, and a smirk paints itself on his face. His eyes are locked on hers. 

“You would?” Her voice is small, but she couldn’t believe it. Would he really? 

I mean, she wouldn’t complain if he did. 

“I would,” he replies casually as he nods. “Would you, Angel Face?” 

She hides her face in her hands, her face burning red. This was too embarrassing. 

Bakugo laughs and pries her hands away from her face. “No rush, alright? I’m just playing.” 

“Oh…” This makes her feel a little better, and the redness subsides a bit. She smiles at him. “Thanks.” 

He smirks. “Yeah, but don’t think this is the end of it, Angel Face. We’re just getting started.”

Ochako let out a giggle as she ran faster, the snow crunching under her feet. She navigated her way through the small path, glancing back to see her boyfriend fervently following her, his crimson eyes staring her down. Stopping only for a moment, Ochako turned around, her hands clasped behind her back as he stuck her tongue out, taunting the explosive blond.

“Hurry up, slow poke!” She urged, letting Bakugo catch up before starting to race forward. “We’re almost there. The river is frozen over this time of year, and it’s absolutely beautiful!”

Some of my favorite ideas for kacchako stuff

Bakugou waiting for Uraraka to train. He won’t admit that, but she knows anyway (Kaminari told her).

Both of them walking together back to the dorm after training.

Cooking together. They used to fight about who would cook and who would do the dishes, it soon ended up in ‘’let’s just do both, damn it’’.  (It would often turn to a cooking competition with the rest of the class).

Uraraka not being able to resist her curiosity and playing with Bakugou’s hair. She needed to know, was it soft? Would she cut her finger if she touched it? It ended up being really soft, unlike it’s rebel appearance. (He still doesn’t get used to her doing that, but after some time he doesn’t mind).

Hand-Quirk pals. Todoroki stay away

Both finding out they have, surprisingly, a favorite band in common. Surprised (and excited) they talk about it just to later start arguing because that definetly isn’t their best album, X is!

At some point, Uraraka started casually wearing his shirts and hoodies, cuz they are comfy. He would use her wristbands from time to time, and maybe a headband to keep his hair from his forehead.

Falling asleep together.

Bakugou looking after Uraraka’s eating habits. 

Doing each other hairstyles. Uraraka is a big help in formal situations since she doesn’t go all Best-Jeanist on him.

Playing UNO is both a big no and a big yes.

Two dots pals. 

They do lean again each other, putting a hand on the other shoulder or an arm on the other’s head, casually or for support. Most of the times is unintentionally.

Both of them having enough trust/confidence on each other to hold hands, knowing well that they won’t get the other hurt with their quirks.

this!!! I imagine is the most meaningful love language to them, the most natural,

like, they have faith in each other to not use their quirks when touching

plenty of ppl would be scared to be anywhere near bakugo’s hands

but then there’s uraraka intertwining her fingers with bakugo’s, letting him place the warmth of his palms against her cheeks, i bet they touch each other’s necks a lot…

and it takes a while for everyone’s breaths not to catch whenever bakugo reaches for uraraka

like one time, he got so angry he was gonna blast a building apart but then uraraka just placed one of her hands against his and he pulled back so fast he nearly dislocated his frickin shoulder

if anything, it’s uraraka that sends him up into the air accidentally or as a joke lol

and in typical bakugo fashion he yells about it

but low key doesn’t mind

he knows she wouldn’t try to hurt him

TOUCHING EACH OTHER’S SCARS

they tend to do it absentmindedly

bakugo develops a habit of rubbing his thumbs against the scars on uraraka’s hands and they inspire him to push himself harder,,, and be better for her and for himself,,

uraraka will do the same for the scars on bakugo’s arms when they’re having tender, emotionally vulnerable moments as reminder that he can always Be Real with her

mmmmmmmmm…. KISSING EACH OTHER’S SCARS

it HAS to be this like 45+ minute-long emotionally intimate ordeal where they hold each other and silently lay all their fears and insecurities out for each other

I decided to give a try to the bathtub scene from still.fly’s wonderful fanfic ‘one juicy peach’. I highly recommend this one. Certainly one of the very best I’ve read so far!
