trucy often "mimics" body language quirks or mannerisms of people she likes, and has for basically all her life. in her very young childhood, she learned how to do magic by mimicking her father and valant, and that bled into her mimicking other things, too. she'll put her hands on her hips the way zak did. she does table slams and puffs out her chest and pat papers the way phoenix does. she puts her finger to her forehead like apollo. she fiddles with her earring like athena. things like that.

The wave of relief she feels when her phone buzzes in her hand is immense, and Trucy can't help the tiny sigh she lets out. [ ty ] She sends back quickly, glancing towards the bathrooms to be sure her date was not in sight. [ appreciate u, srry to pull u out of stuff ]

When Apollo arrives, it's apparent what is happening at a glance. Trucy blends in for once with her simple sundress, nodding along politely to a curly-haired boy standing at least a foot taller than her who's talking animatedly.

But she stays polite as she glances over her shoulder--and her nerves settle the instant she spots Apollo. "Well, Alejandro--" She says, turning back, "--Thank you for taking me out again! And for understanding about the emergency, the Agency is in a rough spot right now and my dad and everyone else need me there."

She manages to turn her head at the right time when her date leans down for a kiss, his lips instead landing on her cheek, and after an awkward moment and wave they parted--with Trucy making a beeline for Apollo, her face turning brighter red with every moment.

"...Thanks for coming to get me--I know you were busy today, and I'll make this up to you."

[B there in 15] Apollo responded immediately, without waiting or asking for more details. The abrupt request -- and the fact he was the one to receive it and not her father -- fanned a little flare of anxiety, but he had the tact to sense that his time was better spent moving than demanding an explanation.

Luckily for Trucy, he had a rental car for the weekend, and was there in 13. He texted a quick [Here] after he parked, then lingered at the entrance, scanning for a sign of her.

The opening text to Apollo is just an address, though a quick look shows it as a park in the nicer part of town with a little cafe. A halfway decent date spot, or so the reviews say.

Does Trucy know much about the Kurain channelling technique from her contact with the Feys? Is there anyone's spirit she would want to be channelled?

she does! she convinced pearl to tell her all about it within the first year or two that she lived with phoenix, and didn't really seem phased by it (other than seeming a tiny bit skeptical, given her own profession is all about smoke and mirrors, but that dropped quickly when it hurt pearl's feelings). she finds it a very interesting practice, and proof that magic does actually exist in the world in some form! as for who she might want channelled…i genuinely don't know. zak gramarye is a good candidate, as is her grandfather, but i think given what trucy knows about them now, she would be alright without it. (though, zak she sometimes considers, if she's feeling particularly down and phoenix isn't there to cheer her up.) in all honesty, the only person she genuinely would want to have channelled would be thalassa, her mother, because trucy doesn't even know if she's alive.

Does Trucy like animals? If she could have anything, whether it's a regular pet or exotic or imaginary, is there any type of animal in particular she would want for a companion?

trucy likes animals for sure! i think given her living situation with phoenix, it's not exactly feasible for them to have a pet. she does have a fondness for cats and rabbits in particular, and yes she did have a horse girl phase that was surprisingly short-lived. i think she's rather practical, though, and doesn't really find herself wanting an animal companion. she's got mr hat, after all. (but a cat might be nice.)

Is Trucy impatient to grow up? Is there anything in particular about being an adult that she looks forward to, or anything that she's trepidatious about?

in some ways yes, and in some ways no, though it's mostly in terms of school. she's not a bad student, she's just not an excellent one, and she'd rather be out doing magic shows or helping at the agency over anything else. but she knows she does need some good business sense, and especially after the disaster with manov mistree, she's not as confident about it anymore. it's a good thing she has a trio of lawyers to rely on to help her navigate this sort of thing.

How much has Trucy picked up about Poker from her dads? What's her opinion on it?

trucy could probably wipe the floor with anyone at poker except for maybe phoenix, and even then it is either very close or she barely eeks out a win. she understands the rules and given her own ability to perceive, she can read people fairly easily. she's mostly ambivalent about it, though. she likes board games over card games, especially because poker has had so much weight to it in her experience. zak used it as a way to understand people at their core, and phoenix used it as a means of employment, so to trucy there's this very serious aura to it. i think in a way she equates poker in her mind to trials and the courtroom—which means she finds it kind of amusing that basically everyone in the agency has such a bad rep with in-trial poker faces, apollo especially but genuinely athena and phoenix suffer too. phoenix is maybe the only one she won't actively tease, but her thoughts about her father in particular are that his poker face when playing poker is a lot better than his poker face in the courtroom.

How much does her connection to Troupe Gramarye influence Trucy's life decisions? Would she have different career aspirations or priorities if she wasn't raised as a performer?

it has a huge effect, really. trucy's dream is to continue her family's legacy, and a lot of her choices ultimately come back to that simple goal. she's considering tours, televised broadcasts, all sorts fo things, in connection to her profession and intends to rise to stardom the way her family did before her. if she hadn't been raised as a performer…well, it's hard to say, because performing is so much of who trucy is. she may not have been a magician, but i have a feeling she'd find her way onto a stage one way or another.

Is there anything that Trucy is simply not good at, no matter how hard she tries?

she can't whistle! and she can't draw or make visual art on her own. trucy also has difficulty focusing on anything she doesn't truly think is important or interesting, which contributes to why she hates school as much as she does.
