Bill was.....Right. Fern really had fallen into his trap here, he should have just clammed up. It wasn’t too late to suddenly do that now, was it? There was no such thing as ‘too late’ when it came to him being creepy, anyway.  Still, he did feel a minor urge to mention how he actually had rented the movie Venom a few weeks back. ...Which would would just keep up the conversation, and the mere thought of that was enough to add to the load of mental exhaustion on him. So Fern blanked out, wordlessly staring at Bill. As if the nerd had become a particularly boring wall, and not some loud guy that happened to look vaguely familiar.

"Cool.”” Fern honestly didn't expect Bill to agree so quickly. It almost felt..Nice, to share a coping mechanism with someone else. Even if a gut feeling told him that if it turned out Bill was better than him at something like destruction, it would make him feel awful. Awful and envious. But for now, Fern couldn’t even begin to perceive a guy like Bill as a threat to his ego. it was comforting to know the only thing Bill could outdo him in was being a loser. Fern was with with being out-losered.

Hie mouth quirked with a hint of a smile, and he began to stride away, beckoning Bill to come with. "Follow me, I got just the right place."

Bill considered the offer shortly. If he can’t hurt an actual person, then destroying inanimate objects was the next best thing. He then nodded his head. “ … I’d love that. ”

Fern blankly stared at Finn. He was doing his best not to show how quickly his temper was rising.  This guy. This guy was unbelievable. It had barely been two months since he ruined Finn’s birthday,  and now Finn was just going to act like that never happened? How could he throw that all away? Fern had worked hard to exact misery on to him, that was the kind of thing he assumed would stick to him!  But no.  Fern wondered if Finn was just hardcore repressing all of that. That would make some sense, and prove to be a bigger victory in the long run.

“Nothing personal, Huh?” He echoed Finns words, trying to infuse them with mockery to hide how disheartened they made him feel. He drew upon the mockery, and used it to enliven himself. 

"Thatsss...fine.” He made a dismissive gesture with his hand.  “I don’t think you’re all that worth remembering either!” Oh, this was good. Hitting him with the knowledge that he didn’t matter.  “The only difference is-I’m a big deal now, bigger than you’ll ever be.” His pseudo friendly tone had been thrown out the window, only to be replaced with a malicious hiss of words as he leaned over to stare Finn directly in the eyes.  “I proved it.”

Fern could only assume this was some sick joke of Finns, an act of spite as revenge for Fern taking his own revenge just a few weeks ago. It was a revengeception.  “I’m not playing any games, Finn. You know me.”  He loomed over Finn as best as he could, balling his hands into fists, just in case this turned into a fight. He  really hoped it would.  “Unless you need a reminder?” 

☄️ Oh, so he knows Finn’s name. Though a lot of people did, as he wasn’t the most secretive of heroes. No Batman mask or whatever. But Finn still couldn’t figure out where he’d run into this guy, despite the other claiming he had at one point, apparently.

“Sorry, uh. A lot’s been happening lately, and I think my brain got a little overwhelmed by it all. My memory might not be the sharpest anymore. It’s nothing personal though!” 🌼
