Pokemon Teams 2

2 months until legends ZA releases and what better way to mark the occasion then posting another recent I used my platinum team

Decided to mix it up a bit and use more Pokemon that I don’t generally use a lot and focused more on having better type coveraget with some of my favourites (although considering I do like all the sinnoh starters that’s not really hard…)

Pokemon Teams 1

With the Pokemon Presents now in the past (despite it not revealing much new…) I figure what better way to be hyped for Legends ZA then to go over my past teams… not since childhood or even just completed play through teams I mean the ones that I used starting around… 2017 I think as a way of hyping up gen 8 beating the pokemon games I have yet to beat and sending all the teams into gen 8 eventually (we all know how that worked out… hoping champions will be the one…) anyways what better place to start than my first ever pokemon game pearl

The team has a lot of my favourites (though that’s kind of easy for me in gen 4) and steelix is a mega evolution here purely due to show what the team would look like in a proper battle from gen 6 onwards…

Pokemon Presents reaction

This sets the mood for this presents… *falls asleep during most of this despite nothing of Pokemon sleep being announced…* holy hell halfway through the presents and the first thing of note to me is a god damn compilation game of like the cheapest looking mobile games ever wooooow… hasn’t the switch 2 enhancement for scarlet and violet been known about for a while… one million… WHAT!? Surely this is like globally everyone doing it right… and not just a SINGLE person has to do this one million times to get it cause… that’s stupid even if it is for a shiny Pokémon that has so far been shiny locked… nothing much for champions honestly kind of was hoping for some form of confirmation regarding if like for instance it would allow usage of all Pokémon immediately or if it would be updated constantly as new games come out… cause like it says it’s releasing in 2026 and if say gen 10 releases after it and champions doesn’t get updated to include gen 10 pokemon then literally what was the point of this game… like it HAS to have a combo roster of Scarlet/Violet and Legends ZA at a minimum to start too right… back from the dead it’s customizable outfits… Dragonite is the first new mega evolution shown off so far right… oh it’s the gen 6 crew literally again but smaller will they be better than the gen 6 crew well with one less member it’s possible… ok yeah this IS 100% a sequel to X and Y this is the character from the postgame in X and Y right I mean she literally looks like she’s wearing Looker’s outfit and Looker was heavily involved in X and Y’s postgame… so this has to be her… Team flare elite member actually gets some more character development!!! Wow… ok so literally what is the reason why I should spend an extra 10 probably slightly more cause Canada…on a switch 2 version… while looking for information regarding any differences regarding a switch 2 version I found this… 

now what I want to know why to know is why this wasn’t in the presents… or did I just miss it… if the switch 2 version is literally just upgraded performance (which it seems to be) then I guess I’ll pass and save the extra $10+ but if you don’t have a Switch 2 yet and are considering getting ZA then the bundle (which to my understanding was not in the presents…) is worth it… also what is champions the 2026 Pokémon game… cause again I reiterate if gen 10 releases in 2027 and Champions has NO GEN 10 UPDATE (which it SHOULD have regardless of how many Pokemon start out in champions…) then this game is dead on arrival…  also this is why you never wake up early to watch a Pokémon Presents live hardly anything of interest was shown there (granted the last presents was probably like the first I watched live maybe ever… but I was sick and literally could not fall asleep so that doesn’t count…)

I have beaten Fire Emblem Fates Birthright now only 2 more North American Fire Emblem games remain until I beat all the North American ones… the other two are Revelations and Shadow Dragon BTW…

with that in mind… I’ve been heavily debating whether or not I should actually play Heroes… I’m definitely more ok with mobile games then I was when it came out and I have been trying more to do things outside of my comfort zone more recently but wondering if it’s even worth bothering as a new player especially considering I plan to spend as little money as possible here…

So what better way to settle this than with a poll!!!

Note if both yes options get more combined then no does then I will play heroes but only after a new fire emblem by which I mean not a remake… so Geanology of the holy war remake wouldn’t count… even despite me having not played the original…
