“Threw me out again, goddamn it. Such a meany poopy! I just wanted to be nice to him! Maybe I’ll catch him some dead mice as a present tomorrow.”

The demon tried his best to get the rest of rabbit’s blood from his teeth, he didn’t even get to bite the whole ear off before rabbit threw him out again. Such a rude little being. 

Once the sound of a piano caught his attention he turned towards the source. The atmosphere was really gloomy these days. It was generally annoying. The cat huffed, at least he still had his little punching bag to play with.

“Watcha doing?! If you’re continuing to play this gloomy stuff, I’ma leave for sure! I’m done with this gloomy stuff, I have better stuff to do! I found many other realms with better souls to play with!”

“First my best buddy didn’t let me get his other ear, then this. You’re all big meanies!”

Old Friends

In a dreamworld where the grass was emerald green and a solitary oak tree was the only landmark. Allen sat playing piano song after song far away from the eyes of the demons who he now lived with. This dream was his sanctuary, the only safe place he could escape from all the torment he bore witness to as part of the Soul Games.

The games were White Rabbit’s creation, and ever since Allen became part of this dimension he’d been forced to take part in them over and over to decide the fates of souls White Rabbit chose to bring to the Alice Mare. His intention was to see how much Allen could take, before he gave into despair himself or went completely mad. Either-way didn’t matter, Allen had sworn to prevent there being more victims. So he would continue to fight no matter the cost to himself.

Somehow, someway he would destroy this world and White Rabbit along with it. As long as he never gave up he would find a way, he had to keep believing.

“I am going to destroy him. My will won’t falter…”

He played the piano song over again, losing himself in the notes while reminiscing about the friends he’d sacrificed himself to protect.

The demon sat on the ground, starring into the water. Cheshire seemed to be lost in his confusing and dark thoughts. The rabbit was still salty and ignored him. After all the cat did for him! How rude!

After a small while, his tail twitched and the already crooked smile brightened up. He lifted his sharp clawed paws and started cheering for himself.

“Now I’ve got it!! I’ll just chew his other ear off! Then he’s symmetrical! Surely a freak like him would like that! Then we can go back to being best buddies forever!”

Nothing would tear the cat from his side, Cheshire wanted to be his best friend! He wanted to be the one that played with him every day, he wanted to be the one rabbit called ‘best friend’, he wanted to be the one who gnawed all of his limbs off. Just stuff best friends did!

“Oh you’re back? Paying a little visit, how neat of you! I would get the rabbit, but he’s still salty over what I did to his other ear! But once he gets wind of how much awesome fun we’re gonna have, he’ll come over sooner than you can say ‘meow’!”

Cheshire knew someone was entering the world, it wasn’t a delicious meal kid, more the foolish teacher who was there a long time ago. The feline didn’t mind, he was no meal, but he killed off ones boredom pretty fine.

“I have a bunch of new riddle and jokes! Wanna hear them?!”

Cheshire walked through a rather pink world. He was never in this place before, the demon would remember such a...weird looking world with such bizarre inhabitants. Not as bizarre as him or the rabbit, of course. The dream team was way out of their league, they wouldn’t have a chance of them, like a snowflake against a volcano.

“..but some’ tells me there’s something nasty going on~ I like nasty!”

The big [thing] sat down besides his ‘friend’. Life has been way more boring after the small incident they had. The rabbit ignored him, as much as it was possible when the cats sharp teeth were biting him. Seemed like his buddy was still salty because of the ear thing. 

“I just wanted to say hi! Many new friends came and left, it was such a shame, I didn’t even get to say hello! Something’s up, I tell ya! And this time it ain’t even my fault!”

The cat jumped from the next shadow and walked over to the next ‘friend’ he found. His abnormally long ears twitched and his smile brightened up. The one visible eye of his scanned the person in front of him, he snickered before he spoke up again.

“Did cha know that drinking too much coffee can cause a  L A T T E problems?!”

“Sheesh, where am I now? I shouldn’t wander off too far. The other Alice wanted the keys, I’ma get scolded if I’m not gonna bring her the keys right away. I prooomised to bring them to her....too bad~”

Cheshire walked around, seeming pretty lost, but at the same time he had a goal. Maybe he’d break the record in weirding and scaring people out in this world. Maybe he’d fetch some more souls to play around with and find another Alice or two.

Once he saw someone his smile cracked and his bright yellow eye narrowed. He lifted his paw with the absurdly long and sharp claws into a wave.

“Hello, hello, buddy! Watcha doing?!”

There was a gleeful grin on his face, the demon cat walked over to the human, this one wasn’t as naive as a child, the soul of this one wouldn’t taste good. So why eating it? There were plenty of child souls in this world, Cheshire felt like a kid in a candy store. 

“Not sure what yours is, but my name’s Cheshire. I’ma call you Alice if you don’t tell me your name. Everybody needs a nickname, right buddy?”

The cat got closer and closer, narrowing the distance between him and his new ‘best friend’. His sharp teeth were steadily revealed as he smiled and his bright yellow eye glimmered in contrast with his pitch black face.

The creature busted out laughing, he clutched his paws to his stomach, almost throwing himself down the ground and rolling around.

The creature appeared behind the little mouse human pretty much out of nowhere. His grim smile proudly worn on his face as always. The one visible eye of his narrowed into a half moon shaped form as he continued.

“The some other humans must be on a hell of a trip, don’t you think, buddy? What’s your name, I’ma call you Alice, should I call you Alice? I might end up calling you Alice anyways. The name’s Cheshire, I’m as happy as a butterfly in a field of burning flowers! There it has it warm and smokey~”

Cheshire jumped from a leafless tree, landing perfectly on his paws, only to straighten immediately and wave with one of his sharp clawed paws.

“’S been a while, buddy! Where have you been?! I was busy wandering through dreams and biting the rabbit, but without you it ain’t as much fun! I’ll take you with me, whatcha say?! I might or might now have a key or two. Not stolen, I swear, I found them~ Good ol’ rabbit is surely searching for them all over the one spot he is! Kheheh~”

The cat [?] laughed out loud and wiggled with his head.

The disturbing feline jumped out from seemingly nowhere, chuckling and grinning as if there was no tomorrow. His face was completely hidden except his glowing eye and surprisingly clean teeth. 

His tail wiggled from right to left, just like Cheshire’s head. Then he busted out, as if she couldn’t hold it any longer. His answer was mixed with laughter and jeers.
