OKAY since I am here now ig I should bring up sum stuff!! Nothing bad btw just thought some of y'all might be interested to know that I'm working on a Spooky Month x Splatoon AU called InkyMonth!!

I am still figuring out the details but I have been talking abt it a bit over on my Twitter!!

Work on the AU will prolly be slow,, but I will share info and WIPs!!

Is Warren the one that's related to Mortis or is that a different OC concept?

Oh! Warren isn't related to Mortis at all, they just happen to share some design traits! But they still exist in the same universe and all, though they aren't necessarily connected? Though I imagine they may have interacted once or twice.

The amount of cards dedicated to Moloch specifically are like, SUPER interesting to me (probably just have the game works given the Dexter cards, but still)

And yeah!! These cards are 100% confirmation that Moloch can control fire, after the implications of it in Unwanted Guest and "Dexter's" patient file

I didn't know the Moloch statue was based on an actual statue! That's so cool... makes me wonder if it's just a reference, or if SM Moloch is supposed to be the ACTUAL Moloch. Probably is just a reference, but it'd make him getting trapped in an attic by two elementary schoolers even funnier

I have a slight bias towards Moloch tbh that's prolly why I was so invested in his cards?? ALSO I love love LOVE references to Gods and religions and stuff like that, hence why Moloch interests me so much.

He ESPECIALLY interests me because the actual Moloch is a God of child sacrifice. And as we know, there seems to be a weird focus/fixation on kids in Spooky Month? It's heavily implied that the cult sacrifices kids, which makes Moloch super interesting. Is he connected to the cult? Or was he just brought in by coincidence? ALSO the fire connection likely comes from the fact that sacrifices were made through fire in the bottom of a statue of Moloch.

So my two theories are that a. Moloch in SM is meant to represent that universe's version of Moloch or b. SM Moloch was just heavily inspired by the actual Moloch.

Drew Mortis in my usual style + slightly updated his design + did a version of him with a human skin tone

ALSO small update he's now an exorcist instead of a paranormal investigator!! Though he still does some ghost hunting as a guise for what he really does (since he's not a professional, proper exorcist and what he does isn't legal,, oops)
