If you don’t at least support William Duvall you’re not an actual Alice In Chains fan.

If you prefer the Layne stuff, that’s fine. I agree that Dirt is perfection and idk if they’ll ever do an album on that level again.

But Cantrell, Inez, and Kinney are AIC, and they went and found a singer they work well with, sound great with, write well with, and are genuine friends with; and they have been putting out plenty of excellent music with some great sounds, deep lyrics, and fantastic sludge. And the way Duvall and Cantrell’s vocals mix is astounding.

We all miss Layne, and we all love the stuff that Layne did.

Duvall is not a Layne replacement, he’s just the next step that AIC took afterwards. And they’ve released 3 albums with Duvall, all of which are really solid and it’s about damn time that people put some respect on Duvall’s name.
