a/n; Something short I forgot I wrote while I was still struggling with my last semester of college this past fall — I believe I wrote it with Ford in mind, but no name was mentioned so feel free to imagine whatever Stan you want for this short ficlet. :’)

I didn’t plan on finishing this so I’m just gonna post it. <3 (Still need to desperately put all my ficlets together and post on AO3. New Years Resolution for both this blog and my main to transfer all fics there lol.)

“It’s okay, I’m right here. I’m not going anywhere.” He softly whispers into your ear and all you can do is tighten your grip around his torso and sob.

He rubs your back softly in return and you immediately melt against him — joining together like a pair of puzzle pieces, desperate to become one.

It’s been a rough period for you lately. And despite the fact you felt like your struggles didn’t matter nearly as much as the ones of others — he still treated you like they mattered just as much as his own. As any other human being. You didn’t deserve such kindness and empathy, but desperately longed for any kind of close [comforting] contact with someone.

You felt so starved. So starved of simple touches and displays of affection that it physically pained you.

You choke on your own sobs when you felt the slightest brush of his lips on the top of your head, mentally reminding you that you were loved and cherished.
